First, install four studs. Slip cage, washers, battery tray over the studs. Then, install a nut at the front and back studs to hold everything down. Now, remove the non-nutted studs, one at a time, and insert final bolts. Finally, do the same with the remaining nutted studs.
Hey Gary. This is the best REVV1 tutorial on TH-cam. I hope you end up doing a full 72V conversion kit on this bike, nobody else makes such clear tutorials that I’ve found so far.
Wow your bike looks sick you did amazing job installing the battery and camouflage wrap looks awesome on this bike give madmax vibe 👍👍👍 I did the same thing with DRT version i have toy soldier i went with green camo wrap i freaking love this bike 😎
@@mactastiq it was not the stock bolts. These are 2 inches long I got them from Home Depot the bag says M5-0.8+30 mm part number is 561 413 comes 2 a package and they’re in the drawers in the metric section
Is that secondary battery mount from ride1up? I haven't seen that mount before. I really want one of these bikes and would want to add a second battery.
Can you have 2 stock batteries? This would allow for at least minimal storage. They should have found a way to incorporate a 2nd battery in that triangle space under the seat...
@@jitnyc you can absolutely have two stock batteries. I didn’t get another stock one because of the price of it I get it battery that was 30 amp hours versus 20 for less money. Most of these companies don’t put dual batteries on because of the price it ends up, pushing it up by quite a bit. The battery is the most expensive thing on the bike.
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures nice thx... Ur video was helpful. After months of research, I'm literally deciding between this bike and the motor goat. The motor goat gets 40+ mph... But if u change the controller on the rev1, it can do the same. Have u done any mods like that?
@@jitnyc I have ridden a goat also and I may be getting one in the future. I know they have a new one coming out. It’s going to be even faster. I believe it’s a 70 V. I’m also sure it’s going to be more money. I can tell you I’m 5’9” andI had a little trouble getting on that bike. It’s pretty tall.
@@kjm-ch7jc by having the two batteries this bike has a lot more get up and go. It doesn’t have the voltage sag that you normally have with one. And quite honestly, you would void your warranty if you did not have the battery balancer
I had some difficulty getting the battery inside the cage with your method. What I had to do was put it the battery opposite way to make it work, it was a pain but I did it. 😅 th-cam.com/users/shortsftTKayaAt2I?si=0RIsCEjpKL86WSys
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures I plan on doing the same thing with the 2nd battery in the center cage. Your idea with the washers look like the perfect fix. Do you have a link to the Amazon battery you used? Just to make sure it’s the same one I’m looking at.
Great video- has me less scared to mess with wires and add a 2nd battery!
Great job Gary! Looks sweet and no range anxiety!

Clean and professional job. Well done Gary
Love the camo wrap! looks great!
Good job. Very well explained.
Did the stock bolts work for the increased length due to the washers? If not, what size did you use?

Don't think I would trust a battery balancer, its got to be better having a separate circuit for each battery and using a DPDT switch.
