This is what standing up for other women (and men) looks like. Survivors like me appreciate this more than she knows. And she deserves more credit in the public eye than just being labeled as Ethan Slater’s “devastated wife.” She’s a strong woman who Ariana Grande harmed with her momentary flaunting through her music. To Ariana, Ethan was a prize to steal from Lilly, and she tried to succeed in rubbing it in her face. Who Ethan Slater left alone with their baby. But she’s also an intelligent, beautiful, dignified, and a powerful force that people can look up to as well. You can objectively love the musicality of Ariana’s song but you need to also see the woman this is affecting. Lilly is a survivor, and she will continue to be the definition of bravery, as Joe Biden once stated. I’m glad she has a son who will watch his speech one day and say “that’s my mom, who stuck by me even when my dad was off galavanting with a pop star”…whose entire worth has been dependent on her relevancy and capability of attracting men.” All in all, I hope Ariana heals, I have hope for her, but I hope no one forgives Ethan for being so callously reckless.

She sounds so educated and refined and her choice of word shows how expanded her vocabulary is. It might be why Ariana Grande has been making an effort to use fancier words recently which seems totally out of context and ridiculous. She's trying to compete with Lilly and she rightfully feels inadequate.

This reminds me of Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck. Jen Garner is an amazing person. JLo is beautiful and talented but lacking in character, like Ariana Grande. These troubled men who leave really awesome women for someone who is messy and dysfunctional is baffling, especially when their wives are also beautiful, smart, successful and great partners. These men must feel like nothing inside to sabotage the best thing that ever happened to them.
So true. But at least the decisions made in that situation was all consensual. Ethan and Ariana literally lied to their spouses to have their little affair then "run away together" when a newborn is involved too!
