I daily drive an APR k04 mk6 GTI with 148k miles. Been trouble free the 14k miles since I upgraded turbos and I average low 20's daily. Not enough freeway driving to get the mileage up. When I get a DSG Swapped into my 6R, I'll probably sell the GTI and daily the R.
With the type of driving I do daily now, it just made no sense using the 6R. Fuel costs and going through so much traffic, just wasn’t ideal for how I wanted the 6R to run. I’m running a 1.5 TSI EVO now as a daily, so much better on fuel. Averaging between 35 to low 40s depending on traffic now.
I find it’s very dependent on the type of journey you do and the traffic situation. The recent weeks for my work route has been very clear without much traffic, I have been averaging about 22-24mpg. This week with kids returning to school, that has dropped back down to 16-18mpg. Mainly cause the car is just sat in traffic way more and stopping and starting a lot.
@@filipedesousa8559 what’s the mileage on it now? Have you ever had the inlets carbon cleaned and the injectors tested? Might be worth doing as precautionary maintenance. I thought my car was fine before, drove very well. But when I had my injectors tested, turns out one of them was down by 40%. Car drive even better once that was sorted out.
The original plan was to just do a stage 1, but got carried away with the mods. I thought whilst it was having work done, might aswell do X Y and Z to it too. Which lead to it having the hardware ready to stage 2. From factory specs it’s gained more than a mere 22hp 😂

Not to be that guy but what mpg do you average you reckon? 👀
I got on about 17mpg today from both my journey to and from work. 😓
Mainly start/stop traffic
Average between 20-30 mph

Daily driving? Ues! But not daily drag racing.... so why have stage 2? Stage 1 is more than adequate and saves you 2.5 grand for a mere extra 22hp. 😅
