- Hey guys, even though the wind noise kind of disturbed in this video, I tried to deliver everything on the mark 6 R, a car I feel is very important yet it's kind of forgotten, it defined the path way for current Golf R cars. Introducing the 2L Turbo engine, and the R name overall.
Thanks For Watching

I have a white Mk6 R, 3 door with DSG & under 50kms. These are awesome little machines that are well made & quite rare compared to the later model R's. I've done a stage 1 racing lines remap along with a DSG tune. Not only does it handle like its on rails but is more than capable of destroying most V8's at the lights. Thanks for taking the time to make some content devoted to this underrated & relatively unknown hot hatch.

Greetings Sir.
I love this car. What can you say about it's reliability and affordability? Should one who's going for reliability go for an automatic or manual transmission?
@@simosithole9916 . Hi mate. Ive had mine for 3 years & other than the annual servicing had no issues. I am told that spare parts can be expensive for this Generation of Golf.
As for affordability here in Australia these cars are generally in the $20-30K dependent upon condition Kms etc. Mine is at the higher end of the spectrum but a car with 150+kms generally in the high teens to low 20s.
I also have a R32 Golf & I went for the manual with this car as I'd read of expensive repairs to the DSG which was in its infancy with these. With the Mk6 however I went with the DSG & love it. The issues plaguing early Mk5s had since been solved & as long as they are serviced at the required intervals / kms then there is no reason to concern yourself with DSG.
I hope that helps. They are terrific, rarish cars & great value for money.
What are your service intervals?

My favorite G6 generation 🔥🔥🔥
It's still fresh🙌
I've never watched any of your bid before... But your enthusiasm right from the very beginning impressed and pulled me in as a new subscriber immediately... Keep it up my man!!!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it🙏🏽
Same here!
You keep banging out good content bro. Keep it up!🙌
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it🙏🏽
Interestingly I still love the GTI to these golfs that came after it.
Great review as always
🙏🏽
I saw one under 300k with 60k kms, I am willing to buy if I get cash. It's a great sleeper. I would mind to add an air intake, exhaust, ecu remap, reverse cam and better radio with Android auto.
I second that, it’s still quite a nice car
I love those tail pipes on G5 r32 and G6r
I do too
Great video man. Subbed.

These are rare cars...holding their value here in uk
They really do indeed
I,m HERE state side🇺🇸 what are WE YANKS missing about the 6R compared to 7&8 R
🤔
@@3for4PA The rawness, it's like a Golf 7R, but abit more raw/less grown-up. If u have a 6R there is no need to get a 7R. However the 6R has presence and looks so so good. But the 7R is better in every possible way ,but only by a very little. Hope this helps
@@jayjayjya thanks JAY.... stay SAFE 🤔
