Jeremiah! you and your camera managed to capture at around 6:01 the famous K9 of the Croatan, you guys were hammering through as I was trying to get Tucker (Coach of Marginal Gains) some water and let him use the woods before he took his place in the Team Car and we headed back for another round of Sector 4 and those headwinds headed back. I wanted to stick around and cheer you guys through but you were right it was hot and Tucker's fur coat wasn't being nice to him, so I had to get him some air-conditioning. Congrats to you and all those out there smashing it, hopefully see you there next year.
A little trick I used to use back in the day, cover your water bottles with thick socks, sew them on tight around the neck of the bottle with thick strong cotton, trim off the excess. Wet them down before the race, use chilled water in the bottles, the evaporation of the wet socks will keep the water cool, in fact it can turn warm water into cool water. If coming back to the start for another leg, leave your exchange bottles upright in a tray of water, cooling the water in them and having the socks wet as you leave.
Sick video! Unsolicited, but was thinking for another impossible video you guys combine 3 disciplines: gravel, mtn and road. Maybe something like Kokopelli/Moab one day, then some gravel in steamboat and finish with a double whammy of pikes and evans in one day. There is a video of guys riding evans and pikes in one day, looks like a beast of a day. Could be a nasty trifecta of events.

I was wandering what you felt like a week later after Texas. After a full recovery from a impossible route do you feel like you make fitness gains? Or is it so destructive that you loose fitness? Nice race liked the coverage and the edit.
