SEASON 1 was a huge learning curve on all fronts. Route logistics, film production, and especially the actual riding. We pushed ourselves well past our limit… and now for season 2, we went even DEEPER! Both JB and I appreciate all the support you have given to this film project since its start in 2020. Bro, what the hell? What did you drop on us? The music fit per-fect-ly, like a Hollywood scored feature. The cinematography gets better and better with each adventure. The story telling gets more riveting and inspiring. Top notch graphics, spot-on editing. Man, can't be more impressed. Bravo Dude. What a masterpiece.
Love it! Also, I agree, Osprey is amazing. I used to ride on the 60mile long desert trails outside of Vegas and I’d recommend upgrading the hose on the Osprey. Hydrapak makes the bladders for Osprey, and Hydrapak offers a black insulated tube called Hydrafusion and you’d probably want to also get the plug and play quick disconnect with it. Its about $20 for both. Advantages, water doesn’t get as hot sitting around in the tube, and I prefer the blue hydrapak branded mouthpiece because its easier to close the lock and also comes with a dust cap that you may or may not use. There is one potential disadvantage. Instead of using the inline quick disconnect, hydrapaks disconnect goes on at the bottom. Personally I like being able to take the entire tube off (less annoying for cleaning), but some people like the inline disconnect as they find it easier to remove the bladder for fillups. Anyway, thanks for the great film!
Just think, if Specialized would've provided the bike to Tyler like they were supposed to years ago (before that gravel race), he would have never had to frantically look for another bike to ride, would have never met Jeremiah outside with his Canyon van that day, and the relationship between those two (that we all love to watch in these videos) may have never happened. Life rips.
So awesome u told me this. I didnt know how they met. Thats badass Their relationship is really tight. Kindred spirits. Their journeys they go on is go big or go home. I watching this for second time rn. Thx man. Peace
So stoked for this one!. And SO glad I am not riding this right now. Really this is magic to see it on screen. Heading into this there was so much doubt, so many hurdles and so many times VC and I thought "oh well this video is not meant to be"! We pass the test of life by just giving it what we can. And I think the pressure brought the best out of all of us and for that I am thank full. I hope you enjoy it!
You guys should do a blue ridge parkway impossible ride. You can mix road and trail, gravel and dirt. Steep and rural but sometimes a bit trafficked. Great work routing all the missions, can’t wait to see where you take Tyler next.
Great work. This was far more entertaining and insightful than any tv show or netflix show or whatever and I just cant believe that you were able to do all this and give it away for free on youtube.
The production quality in this one is next level! And the content, of what you guys aspired to and did achieve. So inspiring. All in all, feels like something I'm used to paying for at the cinema, better than the standard fare there even. So yeah, here's my price of admission. Well done. 100% Certified Fresh!
Wow dude, I thought this was a professional editing company. You are a legit filmmaker, not just a really good TH-cam video content producer. This is legitimate film, legitimate documentary, and legitimate pro quality edit and storytelling work. It’s as impressive as the ride itself.
This had me in tears. "You ate 17 steak taco's...of course you are going to feel a bit bloated". Fucking comedy gold bro!!! Quality of the movie is top notch and just ridiculously enjoyable to watch.
Loved this, as always. I think the first 10 minutes of this was some of the strongest filmmaking I've seen from you. The voiceover of you talking to JB on the intro, the shots of you and JB shivering and looking ragged AF, the music when you're rolling out, the drone shots and cuts of you cleaning tough sections... so good. Congrats on an amazing adventure and a great piece of storytelling!

Thanks for the inspiration Tyler! Your series of impossible routes have inspired me soooo much. Im doing a 354 mile route around Swedens largest lake in 10 days. It will be crazy. Keep Up your storytelling!
This is SO high quality. Congrats on creating a legit FILM, man. I was so into the storyline and engaged in every moment. You guys are also animals, insane.
Wow, not only are you’re routes getting more epic but your filmmaking too! I’m 61y/o average vegan guy, started cycling in 2019, you inspire me to push myself. I’m up to 130mile rides & doing the GFNY New York this Sunday- the timing of this film release was meant to be. Your just do it attitude… is awesome. I needed a kick in the butt, started to doubt myself , failure will not be an option! Thanks for all your vids
I really appreciate all the crazy adventures you go on. Since I am unable to do so I get to live vicariously through you and that helps me through tough times. Keep being awesome and inspiring to us average guys!
"You'd think you'd be warm in the desert, it is cold..." is a sentence uttered by someone who's never been to the desert before, lol. Great ride, this is truly beast mode!
Fantastic! The description of the stars, the tater tots in the frame bag, the sound track, the film quality. Loved all of it. Thank you and the whole team for putting this together
You know after watching all of these...It strikes me that rather than getting down if you fail (which you did a better job of on this one) you should be excited! The goal is to do impossible rides, stuff that just can't be done. A lot of these you actually do complete, so the ones that you fail on, should be celebrated as a success of finding out what is actually impossible. Also you road over 300 miles in 2 days. You are an athlete. Thanks for the great vid!
Watching this in my hospital bed 3 weeks with an infected foot , brand new Canyon Grail SLX waiting for me at home so far unridden , you have inspired me to get on that bike ,,,,when I can and make it count thanks so much for this video it’s the best medicine!
Thank you guys for the inspiration. I recently solo self supported 500 miles from mid Florida to Alabama via greenways and highways. I made a little story on instagram and had a ton of support from friends and family. I succeeded in my mission despite double sidewall blowouts, many flats, and surprisingly cold nights. This is only the beginning of my multi day bike adventures. Thank you for helping me with the courage to take on my first mission.
I feel like I just witnessed VC have a break through experience in life. From the start of the video it was easy to spot the difference in attitude. It's like our boy became a man. You're killing it VC!
I hiked the Outer Mountain loop at Big Bend several years ago, ran out of water halfway through and was legitimately fearing for my life. My legs were also completely destroyed by cacti, so I really can't imagine what it would be like hiking these unmaintained trails while in lycra and carrying a bike (with >200 miles left to ride??). This is an incredible accomplishment.
I had a very similar experience; thinking that I could hike from Rio Grande Valley campsite to Panther Junction HQ across the desert. Ran out of water, shredded by briar, and almost fell over a ledge in pitch black, moon-less night making my way back. Big Bend is character-building and humbling. Glad we survived. The Impossible Route through Big Bend is such an awesome accomplishment!
This is awesome!! Love the music track: so appropriate for south Texas, and love the scene where you shut your headlights out and rode my the moonlight. Also love the cartoon at 34:00 and your descriptions of the night sky.. Love your team attitude! GREAT JOB!!
Wow. I'm not even really sure what to say about this one. Congratulations guys. That was crazy. Zero failure by changing route. That was just smart risk management. maybe if you could have ridden through the caldera go that way, but skipping hike a bike/bush whack in the dark was the right move. Glad to hear VC not calling himself an average Joe anymore because you are not.
Agreed. He is exceptional at this distance! So check out www.theimpossibleroute.com SO much more info and includes the improved routes we develop, Just allow twice as much time
Really happy that Texas and west Texas was definitely represented in this episode. I am constantly jealous of other states and cities that have endless public land and gravel routes and having to see Texas be all private land shoot you on the spot if they find you in their “roads”. From El Paso to big bend is about 4 hours and I love traveling there and never would have thought they would have made an episode here. Thanks for representing Texas big! Next do the New Mexico off road runner in 4 days ! 500 miles of blissful and most crazy gravel routes out here in the southwest !
great work , guys. Especially liked the snack scene at 27 hours... Love this series. Watched this after a century ride today with 9000' of climbing, wasn't sure I could do that as an old fart at 60, tons of angst and doubt going in, but I crushed it. Action cures the fear. Two wheels, one love...
Just wanna give props to your production crew too. That close up shot finale was a shot that could have been fucked up so badly. But it really made the film for me. Props
Are you insane? I don't know if the youtube audience appreciates or understands how remote far west texas is. I don't even feel safe driving there because it can be 150km between gas stations. And the weather switches from extreme heat during the day to sub freezing a few hours after the sun goes down. And the wind and storms that can sweep through there at a moment's notice can be vicious enough to kill. Crazy!
It took around 2 weeks to complete the soundtrack to this. But I was getting chills before the edit even started because I knew I had bangers for tunes.
Wow - just watched the Intro, going to play this during my next training on zwift. Totally stoked that it's just you and JB this time, love your chemistry.
I just sat in my taxi & sat from start to finish just outside Glasgow,Scotland 🏴 & watched the whole movie absolutely outstandingly inspirational & over the next 2/3 months I am going to cycle another stretch of the NC500 in the north west of Scotland bike packing well done to all involved phenomenal movie 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️💪🏻🏴🏴
You crazy sob. Be proud, im proud of you. In the Marines bootcamp we have a crucible. A 54 hour event with 6 hrs of sleep and 2.5 MREs, 50 lbs of gear in a pack, M16, Kevlar helmet, obstacle courses, fatigue, carrying an ammo can of rocks. Some how it gets done and then we have a warriors breakfast. Ride Bikes bro, ride bikes.👍🤘
This is awesome as always... big fan here... BTW went to Yosemite last years (I´m from Costa Rica), brought my bike and your videos were 100% my tour guide! so I can imagine people replicating parts of these impossible routes
I love that you've embraced failure in this one, creating a truly impossible route, setting a benchmark of how far you can get and leaving it to someone else to better. Some of the others where you "cheated" to finish were not in the spirit of the Impossible Route. The point isn't to finish, it's to find the breaking point and leave a challenge for someone out there to beat.
Dude, what I LOVE about these vids is not just the journey you are on, but what is to come after. You guys are literally trail blazing. I have friends planning either their own impossible routes or more importantly trying to attempt yours. One day there will be a list of 'Impossible Routes' - VC Style. Keep it up!!!
The same progress you are making on the bike is also happening with your filmmaking. Phenomenal on both counts. Also everyone needs their “ride or die” but not everyone finds theirs. The bond you two have is magic.
Yet another crazy route you gave US. Thank you both so much, I got soooooooo much respect for everything you do riding wise. Love from Germany Keep it up
Thankful to you two adventurers and everybody behind the scenes, these routes have changed how I ride. The raw footage, highs and lows in these landscapes truly is nuts. Fear gives way to action !
This is so awesome! Iam so glad to watch this because of a ride i have set to do in one week. Its in memory of a great friend of mine who was killed when his semi ran off the road and burnt. He left behind a wife whom ive known since childhood and 6 children. Iam riding to raise money for her. Its roughly 150 miles covering 3 states and some very very steep mountains. Roughly 15,000 to 16000 ft of elevation. It scares me but after being in the USMC infantry for 5 yrs i know what its like to push your body beyond what you think its capable of. Thanks so much for this video!
the editing, the story telling, the graphics, the on camera presence from you both...all so great. Definitely my favorite impossible route to date. F'n loved it
These videos and routes just keep getting better and better. Bravo!! I can totally relate to the hike a bike for hours. I had to do the same on the AZT for 4 miles. And ran out of water.
As a person who’s longest ride to date is only 108 kms (on pavement sure crap pavement but still pavement). When you were making excuses that the last 193 miles was going to be on pavement instead of the desert route….. serious respect to the two of you for this route. After your motivational speech at the end. That’s it this year I will either hit the century in miles or pass out in a ditch trying.
You guys are awesome! I loved when you connected at the end and talked about your little hardcore two man team! Very inspiring. I want someone to so craaaaazy shit like this with me! This inspired me to do a way bigger ride than ever
Just threw $50 your way. Dude, please doing these things. They’re inspiring, entertaining, and cinematic masterpieces. Keep doing it and I’ll keep supporting you guys.
That part about recalibrating your spectrum is highly relatable and some truly deep stuff - so precious and important and easy to forget about. Great stuff as always!
Love all of these impossible routes! The Deathride was my impossible ride for 3 years of trying, then I got 5 summits twice with the ice cream ending. Do epic!!
I've deleted all my social media but I'm never deleting youtube when there's you two cowboys putting out the kind of stuff that inspires and entertains and i get to watch it for free!....I'm also amazed you only got 1 flat ?!...

Ride Bikes bro, ride bikes.👍🤘
watched 4x wow! thank you Tyler - JB and staff! keep riding!!
These keep getting better… and better… I always think when vegan is going to upload and then he hits us with a movie bro
This is awesome as always... big fan here... BTW went to Yosemite last years (I´m from Costa Rica), brought my bike and your videos were 100% my tour guide! so I can imagine people replicating parts of these impossible routes
Thanks for the inspiration fellas! Great job!
Just outstanding. Another next level ride and one of the best watches on you tube. Just rad. Chapeau VC.
16:32 this is the reason to live, love cycling and freedom. Bravó and thank you for another episode!
I wait for one of these almost as much I wait for my next bike trip
absolutely incredible soundtrack on this! after VC spoke his final words, I went out for a mile I had postponed all day. Thank you!
Best filming/music/atmosphere so far!
Such a great message at the end boys! “Do the thing now you’ve been putting off” “action defeats fear!”
I see this as a kind of metaphor for accomplishing goals also beyond sports. Really impressive!! 🌱
When you see and new impossible route video pop up in the feed, it’s a good day 🤙
Im glad that I did a 16 hour Everesting. Helps me somewhat relate to these videos.
The same progress you are making on the bike is also happening with your filmmaking. Phenomenal on both counts. Also everyone needs their “ride or die” but not everyone finds theirs. The bond you two have is magic.
Love the commentary around 38. Great ride y'all. Love this series
Athletes. Movie Makers. Storytellers. I loved it. Well done both of you and everyone involved with the project. Cheers
Yet another crazy route you gave US.
Thank you both so much,
I got soooooooo much respect for everything you do riding wise.
Love from Germany
Keep it up
Thanks Steven, next stop Europe!
Tyler pouring tater tots into a frame bag is just a whole ass mood. I love it.
Wow! I have no words. This is crazy inspiring! What a human is possible of, crazy stuff!
Thankful to you two adventurers and everybody behind the scenes, these routes have changed how I ride. The raw footage, highs and lows in these landscapes truly is nuts. Fear gives way to action !
I love this so much 🤣 what an incredible intro!
Words for 34:20 ... Feeling the ambivalence of life, the dualism and the full spectrum of everything that's inbetween, all at the same time. 🎉
Solid effort and film boys! The intro reminded me of the classic Warren Miller movies.
Hell Yeah! This is my year of 'doing the thing'! thank you all for inspiring and energizing. Bravo, gentlemen!
I love these bikes, especially in pink, and what an awesome ride!
Jb looks younger every ride.
Love the series!
This video is so good. They just keep getting better and better. Can't get enough. Can't wait for the next episode. Keep 'em coming!
Thank you to you both for all the work and inspiring us all!
💥🔥🍻 Thanks William. Super stoked at our plans this summer! We are going to keep rocking some completely new episodes!
Thank you Matthew! Really appreciate the support.
You nailed the personal aspect that I thought was missing last time. Keep up the amazing work.
Do epic!!
you guys kick ass all your support crews and sponsors!!
I've deleted all my social media but I'm never deleting youtube when there's you two cowboys putting out the kind of stuff that inspires and entertains and i get to watch it for free!....I'm also amazed you only got 1 flat ?!...
