Yeah - Rob’s “master plan” depended entirely on Louise making all the exact choices she made at the exact moment she did them - including arriving before Adele’s body roasted in the fire.
BUT the whole idea of the ending being creepy is the fact that it was Rob the entire time and it was GOING TO BE the entire time in the future as well with David which I think would NOT be as CREEPY much less haunting if David found out about Rob

Then you can see how many times Adam says “I love you mom” even that key ring from France and there are no deep scenes of love and commitment from David’s side. Adam’s loving heart doesn’t accept Rob in his mom’s body immediately as he sees her. David doesn’t notice a thing. David loves himself with Louise more than Louise, he could easily turn harsh and mean with her. Being obsessed with other people’s problems Louise deceives her own son. For me the scariest moment was Louise dying and saying just one word “Adam”.
Louise really pissed me off... especially at the end when she mentions her sons name... oh now you’re thinking about ‘Adam’... too late. She’s the epitome of I should’ve minded my own business.
Haha yeah, i actually kinda lost my mind when she called up adele in the ending episodes, right before David told him to stay away from her, i believe if she hadn't called, things would have been different and Louise might have been alive. Also after being warned thrice by her friend, she should atleast had stopped for her own sake.
I know this probably won’t happen but I hope Netflix can work with the author and extend to another season! This ending is truly gut-wrenching and feels really incomplete. I would love to see some justice for Adele and Louise and a comeuppance for Rob. Do it for Adam!

Man this show had so many lil clues put into the show.. like how Adele was cooking... it was actually roberts thing to cook if you remember when he first met David he was cooking for them
I guessed that ending 3/4 through the last episode when Adele called David to tell him that Rob overdosed and was dead. David drove to yhe house and Adele was waiting for him tucked behind the entrance sheepishly looking on in the exact same way Rob had been the first time he saw David The actress completley nails everything qbout that moment. Body positioning look and all. That's when I started to see the breadcrumbs and it came to me before the hammer was actuallt dropped. Its still a complete mindfuck but a little less intense since I got it earlier. Amazing ending. Absolutely brilliant
Yes you can hear the breathing throughout the series. I had subtitles on because I couldn't really understand when David was speaking so it would write that "deep breathing echoes". I had 2 thoughts in my mind, either Adele was a witch or she could teleport lol.

I'm really astonished how the ending came and it haunted me in my sleep and when I woke up! Very powerful story that I did not see coming. You can never trust anyone ever. Drug addiction is unsolvable if the person does not want to change. And of course, cruel people are there and will always take advantage of the good people. All along it was Rob plotting everything right from the start. He was going to die at the end but had gambled in his mind that Lou will save him and they'll exchange souls, cause he had plotted that by giving her his secrets and manipulating her brain. Poor Adele, the true one, who loved him madly. Excellent choice for the actress who's her eyes alone can act very well. Amazing work!
When I watch the series I was like: Rob : oh ! You a victim! Adele : Oh yo a victim to David : no you the victim ! Louise : Wait you a victim to ? Adam : oh now you are the victim...
Throughout most of the episodes I thought Adele had multiple personalities and Rob was one of them - made up. Didn't see this coming until "Adele" switched bodies with Louise, then I already knew it was Rob. Such a good twist!

Not sure if it was the producers, cinematography or the author herself who chose the soul colors when Rob,Adele, and Louise austral project but, wow! All colors are Chakra colors(life force energy) Adele=purple which means wisdom, higher consciousness, vision, seeing beyond and magic. This chakra is also called the third eye which is creepy since it called “Behind her eyes” Rob=Blue or throat chakra and is know for communication either by voice or writing(his journal). When it’s blocked it’s because the person is ashamed to tell their true story for fear of rejection. Louise=green or the heart chakra is about giving and receiving love and empathy. When blocked the person can show insecurities, low self esteem and low self worth(The author talked about her insecurities in the book) most noticeable is experience of loss and regret which Louise showed about her mother and at the end by calling her son Adam’s name. Louise also may have advanced in chakras too she wore clothes of mainly red(root) in the beginning, orange and yellow when she took control of her sexuality and dreams. Could be a coincidence though maybe colors looked clearer on screen then others. Still pretty good use of symbolism throughout the series.
Absolutely brilliant, you keep guessing from the beginning and keep changing your mind over and over. Looking forward to watch the next chapters and find out more about the fire and the missing pages from the notebook.

she had too much empathy to save Adele (Rob) by this way of changing souls, she could predict her (his) intensions, Rob had two paths: suicide, or have hope that this suicide give him a Louise body. Win or lose. if the men have options to save someone, he is trying, because, he could have voice of conscience to not try, and let somebody dies. I dont know still why Louise was calling to Adele, right before she was trying suicide. I know that they were close friends, but that was unnecessary. i think the biggest mistake why the evil won in this story was just accident, Louise was trying to save Adele (rob), she didnt want to let her just die, but the evil intensions of Rob had too much inteligence and cleverness.
Never trust anyone and certainly drug addicts dont need help if they dont want to change. If that's the high life they want, let it be, as long as not hurting others.

The story was really impressive, but in the end it seemed absurd to me that Louise tried to get in on her own without telling the police and knew she could make a body change through astral travel.
This is new Louise, in the beginning she is living her calm life, she is joyful, she thinks of her son all the time, then her feelings take over her. She managed to change her dreams and started to have false self confidence. Her friend Sophie, a regular “boring” friend keeps meeting her and says simple but wise words “in the end it will be you who gets hurt”, but no, Louise is stubborn she believes she can save people. It’s a very logical and true to life end. You forget about your main responsibilities, you get into the troubles of the others, you start it with a man who is afraid of the jail who is afraid of being punished by the police so he is living in hell with a crazy woman and here you are- drown in the hell created by others. Sometimes we should stop ourselves and remind that we are not gods, we can’t change adults. If they want to change, they change. The only people who need our support and advice, whose lives we shape while they are small and fully dependent are our own children.

She did call the Police, in the Uber on the way to the house. That's how they appeared when Louise/Rob was sitting on the front step. However, it still doesn't explain why she didn't try a neighbour's house, or find a large stone and try to smash the living room windows. Instead, she decided to astrally travel, surely knowing she'd be able to do nothing but watch the fire.
Calm down mate. It is not true. This is the second time. At first time, Louise did broke into house by destroying the door bcuz she worried about Adele. This is Adele's test. She exactly knew that and did thought Louise will do that again for here if she gets trouble. Plus, she did call her to police on 🚕. If Louise were you, you will definitely do like that, I reckon. Bcuz she felt guilty for an affair with her husband and pathetic for Adele having no other friends.
Loved the twist ending. I knew there was going to be a twist, and I watched the whole show trying to figure it out, and was so pleasantly surprised that I would never have thought of it. My only issue with it is that it just seems too out of Rob's character to murder her... he spends the whole time loving her; not her life, her. I wish they'd made him appear more jealous throughout the show, instead of mostly just at the end once meeting David. But still, it was such a whiplash of a twist ending, really loved it.
He opens up to the nurse in the very beginning that he can’t have anything with her cuz he is gay. In his controlled dream he chooses to see the male nurse serving for him naked. Female characters are naive and loving - real Adele wants to help Rob and shares everything with him, Louise gives up everything for helping David. Rob loves himself with Adele, he is relaxed, amused, calm and happy, David is exactly the same with Louise, he smiles he laughs he enjoys himself in her company, but you don’t see any act of care. David and Rob are very similar actually, Rob is not willing to change his life himself- he doesn’t force himself to give up drugs, David doesn’t do anything to stop it with Adele. If he had balls he would go to the police, he would be imprisoned may be but he would set himself free out of hell with Adele. Ten years! Ten! He keeps on living with her, she causes harm to other people to Marianne- in the book Adele brutally kills her cat. And yet David doesn’t try to put an end. He has his privileged life, beautiful house and he isn’t ready to give it up for the sake of inner freedom. The women in the show are on the contrary insanely brave, their bravery turns into pure stupidity- one is dealing with a heroine addict, the other one goes to the fire without anyone’s help.

Iets hope, or it could be the real adele, who always kept louise company (times at the balcony, at louise's job in the office( beginning episode 3), she literaly talked to that pigeon) , but then at the end when "louise"(rob) enters the apartment, the pigeon "adele" knew that that was not louise but rob and then flew away..

@@sab889 if adele was alive in any capacity and ESPECIALLY that near to rob she would've taken her body back on one of the MANY occasions where Rob astral projected throughout the show. as for Louise being the pigeon, I think all the evidence we have suggests that you can only steal the bodies of people who are able to astral project (that's why Rob had to teach Louise how to astral project) because you need the soul to be out of the body. The only way I could see that working in theory is if in-universe, animals like pigeons don't actually have souls and are thus free to be empty vessels, but I don't think there's anything in-show to support that theory lol
That scene where David goes to the train station to go to Scotland, i just knew David and Louise weren’t going to see each other again, I wasn’t expecting the twist AT ALL but I knew something was coming!
That was amazing ..the end blew my mind..haven't read the book yet..nd also I'm not a big fan of series ..that was literally the 3rd serie I see in my life..nd that was worth it..it reminded me a bit of the movie REBECCA ..nd this is my prefered genre of movies nd series..

I was really shocked about how great the plot twist is and how the author came out with this amazing idea. The book is super amazing and so does the adaptation, kudos to the team behind the series and the author too.

Would be interesting if they made another series, like what if they show that (Louise) was quick and escaped out of Adeles body... keep in mind they did a lot of back story telling and kept showing details that were kept out at first... and a few years go past... adam gets older, he maybe finds robs journal and start figuring out everything that’s going on (escaping the body etc..) and they show Louise finding them and she spys on them (david and rob) , and she finds a way to contact with Adam (through his dreams maybe) and tell him everything that happened... and somewhere down the line they find a way to make rob pay for what he has done. Just a thought that would be interesting

Surely you can make a sequel out of this... cos souls can’t just disappear... however when bodies are not available then that’s understandable... I don’t hate the ending... it’s so clever. Like it’s more surely her son will realise time and time again that she’s not his mum... like the new husband is just in love and has no idea even though it’s clear she’s changed.
Came here right after watching the ending and although it left me sad I gotta say the ending really was incredible and I didn't see it coming until the last ep. I actually thought the show might have been based on the universe of the Shining cause there's even a line in the first ep that seems to hint at it so I'm surprised it was an entirely original story.
I realize it was to blackmail David into never leaving but it would have made more sense for Rob to never tell David about "robs" death. Could have said they fought and he would never come back. Rob loved the mansion and the forest. He even said he would rather have no friends and live on her property. David took them away from the mansion because of the death. Rob lost what a part of what he killed for. Also who cared if David left? She could have had David sign back the rights to the property at the very beginning and then if he left Rob still had the property, money and other men he could have met as Adele was striking.
But Rob REALLY loves David too. You can even see it in his eyes the first time he meets him. Part of the problem is that Rob wanted David along with all the money and status.

When he knew Adele at the hospital, u can see he really cared deeply for Adele and their friendship. Once he visually seen the mansion and the scope of wealth she truly had, I think that's when the envy set in. He wanted to be a part of that life. He even joked to them about needing to hire a cook to live in the basement. He was hinting that he wanted to live there. They didn't catch on and ignored the remark. I think that's when he became determined.
I thought i knew where it was going and then I didn't 😂 from the beginning i figured out easily that Adele was astral traveling, looking over everything and planning ahead thinking that she's just a smart psycho wife obsessed with her husband and then the twist hit and i'm very happy that it was very unexpected but still made a lot of sense
Just finished the show right now, Im soooo mad at Louise!!! She could have avoided this but the pressure of being told that she needs to live a little also led to this. This was exciting and dangerous for her, for the first time in a long time she probably felt alive. And also in a twisted way she felt like she can save someone's life and that maybe gave her some purpose. That was her mistake, getting way too invested in a married man and his wife. I do hope they make a second season, there are so many unanswered questions. Is Louise really dead or is that her spirit in the pigeon in the flat? If so how does she come back because she doesn't have any fingers to count? How long can Rob keep this going, is he going to continue his drugs, but now there's a child involved that already suspects something, will he be able to hide the drug thing? Will David not see any changes in Louise's behavior, he was attracted to her bubbly personality from the get go, will he not see the changes? Will Louise's ex not notice anything? will there ever be justice for the real Adele and how will David feel when he finds this out, that his Adele has been dead for over 10 years, that he never really experienced a married life with her. And also the fire at Adele's house, what really happened there, was David involved, did he cause the fire because the parents disapproved and his family had money issues? He says he stayed because he felt guilty about Rob/Adele or did he feel guilty about the fire? Did he and Adele come up with this masterplan together to start the fire? There's still that question about how did he know about the fire, was he really sneaking in to see Adele, or was that all part of the plan? So many questions that need answers.
The ending is The Skeleton Key with a splash of Fallen 😅 ... I mean she wanted to be original but it has been written b4. However I absolutely loved the twist none the less! Great Show!
Rob was a complete psycho. But, most of us are missing on the part why he preyed on David and adele;plus louise not minding her business!! Rob was jealous of Adele and David relationship and lifestyle. He wanted so bad that he'll kill and blackmail anyone to get it. He wanted that fairytale. However, he could have killed David anytime which he didn't. Rob not only wanted the life and relationship but he also wanted David to love him and him alone. But, he knew David would catch on about the behavior of adele. So...what best is to create a blackmailing. Regardless of how David felt and how miserable he would with him. Misery loves company. But, if you don't change you're actions as well as your behavior behind that sick twisted way. You're going to lose the person and their interest in you. Trust me, it sucks when you having fix within yourself. But, all in all good movie. And as for Adam, he's a dead child. Rob could've given him back to his dad, made up some type of lie. Guess not.
My feeling was that Adam would end up at a boarding school or back with his dad. Rob doesn't want him around and Adam knows there is something wrong with his mom and doesn't like it.
Brilliant ending. I remember being gobsmacked when I first read it when the book came out a few years back. Then, like the author, it took me by surprise in the series, even though I already knew it. How does that happen??
season 2 is going to be so intresting because they didn’t show us Adele who is actually Louise, to be officially dead. when louise who is now Rob made it home to louises house she cut off a hospital band. and they didn’t update us on anything that happend to Adele who is now Louise. she could be alive in the hospital or in a coma.
If Adele/Louise was still alive in a coma then Louise/Rob wouldn't be able to marry David EDIT: I think that Louise might be in the bird that was on the table or something
Spoiler: Louise couldn’t enter the house when she realised what’s happening with Adele. It’s a major clue to her not being Louise cause in the end she is with Adele’s body and you’re like ‘hey Louise how did you manage to enter a house that’s not yours with no signs of break in?’ Something only David could notice...
Yep, if I recall this is actually what her ex-husband asked her about too and Rob/Louise brushed it off by saying he didn't want to talk about it. Let's hope some of these signs start to add up for David in a second season!

I thought the ending was brilliant tbh.. it had all of the elements that I love and nothing is what it seemed at first glance .. the ending wraps up nicely imo. I'm glad they didn't leave us hanging.. it was a great story.. alot of wtf moments (but not in a bad way, just made you think.. but when it clicks.. IT REALLY CLICKS) I went back and watched it for a second time and I noticed little things.. like things 'Adele' and David would say to each other.. the colors of the spirits.. and WHO those spirits belonged to 👀. It was magnificent writing.. you never really know who the antagonist is until the end and it just kinda flips the whole story on its head but in a good way. I was very satisfied with this show.

Haha yeah, i actually kinda lost my mind when she called up adele in the ending episodes, right before David told him to stay away from her, i believe if she hadn't called, things would have been different and Louise might have been alive.
Also after being warned thrice by her friend, she should atleast had stopped for her own sake.

I guessed that ending 3/4 through the last episode when Adele called David to tell him that Rob overdosed and was dead. David drove to yhe house and Adele was waiting for him tucked behind the entrance sheepishly looking on in the exact same way Rob had been the first time he saw David The actress completley nails everything qbout that moment. Body positioning look and all. That's when I started to see the breadcrumbs and it came to me before the hammer was actuallt dropped. Its still a complete mindfuck but a little less intense since I got it earlier. Amazing ending. Absolutely brilliant
There were some scenes that were shot as though they were being secretly filmed. Come to find out it was Adele (Rob) watching them the whole time!!

I'm really astonished how the ending came and it haunted me in my sleep and when I woke up! Very powerful story that I did not see coming. You can never trust anyone ever. Drug addiction is unsolvable if the person does not want to change. And of course, cruel people are there and will always take advantage of the good people. All along it was Rob plotting everything right from the start. He was going to die at the end but had gambled in his mind that Lou will save him and they'll exchange souls, cause he had plotted that by giving her his secrets and manipulating her brain. Poor Adele, the true one, who loved him madly. Excellent choice for the actress who's her eyes alone can act very well. Amazing work!

Throughout most of the episodes I thought Adele had multiple personalities and Rob was one of them - made up. Didn't see this coming until "Adele" switched bodies with Louise, then I already knew it was Rob. Such a good twist!

Not sure if it was the producers, cinematography or the author herself who chose the soul colors when Rob,Adele, and Louise austral project but, wow!
All colors are Chakra colors(life force energy) Adele=purple which means wisdom, higher consciousness, vision, seeing beyond and magic. This chakra is also called the third eye which is creepy since it called “Behind her eyes”
Rob=Blue or throat chakra and is know for communication either by voice or writing(his journal). When it’s blocked it’s because the person is ashamed to tell their true story for fear of rejection.
Louise=green or the heart chakra is about giving and receiving love and empathy. When blocked the person can show insecurities, low self esteem and low self worth(The author talked about her insecurities in the book) most noticeable is experience of loss and regret which Louise showed about her mother and at the end by calling her son Adam’s name. Louise also may have advanced in chakras too she wore clothes of mainly red(root) in the beginning, orange and yellow when she took control of her sexuality and dreams.
Could be a coincidence though maybe colors looked clearer on screen then others. Still pretty good use of symbolism throughout the series.

I dont know still why Louise was calling to Adele, right before she was trying suicide. I know that they were close friends, but that was unnecessary. i think the biggest mistake why the evil won in this story was just accident, Louise was trying to save Adele (rob), she didnt want to let her just die, but the evil intensions of Rob had too much inteligence and cleverness.

The story was really impressive, but in the end it seemed absurd to me that Louise tried to get in on her own without telling the police and knew she could make a body change through astral travel.
Creepy how it was sitting there waiting in the corner. During the flashback, I felt so bad for poor Adele. The real Adele.
This is new Louise, in the beginning she is living her calm life, she is joyful, she thinks of her son all the time, then her feelings take over her. She managed to change her dreams and started to have false self confidence. Her friend Sophie, a regular “boring” friend keeps meeting her and says simple but wise words “in the end it will be you who gets hurt”, but no, Louise is stubborn she believes she can save people. It’s a very logical and true to life end. You forget about your main responsibilities, you get into the troubles of the others, you start it with a man who is afraid of the jail who is afraid of being punished by the police so he is living in hell with a crazy woman and here you are- drown in the hell created by others. Sometimes we should stop ourselves and remind that we are not gods, we can’t change adults. If they want to change, they change. The only people who need our support and advice, whose lives we shape while they are small and fully dependent are our own children.

She did call the Police, in the Uber on the way to the house. That's how they appeared when Louise/Rob was sitting on the front step. However, it still doesn't explain why she didn't try a neighbour's house, or find a large stone and try to smash the living room windows. Instead, she decided to astrally travel, surely knowing she'd be able to do nothing but watch the fire.
Calm down mate. It is not true. This is the second time. At first time, Louise did broke into house by destroying the door bcuz she worried about Adele. This is Adele's test. Loved the twist ending. I knew there was going to be a twist, and I watched the whole show trying to figure it out, and was so pleasantly surprised that I would never have thought of it. My only issue with it is that it just seems too out of Rob's character to murder her... he spends the whole time loving her; not her life, her. I wish they'd made him appear more jealous throughout the show, instead of mostly just at the end once meeting David. But still, it was such a whiplash of a twist ending, really loved it.
He is a junkie and his own sister called him vicious. He doesn't love her (he is gay), he just loves money and he wants to "live the dream".
He opens up to the nurse in the very beginning that he can’t have anything with her cuz he is gay. In his controlled dream he chooses to see the male nurse serving for him naked. Female characters are naive and loving - real Adele wants to help Rob and shares everything with him, Louise gives up everything for helping David. Rob loves himself with Adele, he is relaxed, amused, calm and happy, David is exactly the same with Louise, he smiles he laughs he enjoys himself in her company, but you don’t see any act of care. David and Rob are very similar actually, Rob is not willing to change his life himself- he doesn’t force himself to give up drugs, David doesn’t do anything to stop it with Adele. If he had balls he would go to the police, he would be imprisoned may be but he would set himself free out of hell with Adele. Ten years! Ten! He keeps on living with her, she causes harm to other people to Marianne- in the book Adele brutally kills her cat. And yet David doesn’t try to put an end. He has his privileged life, beautiful house and he isn’t ready to give it up for the sake of inner freedom. The women in the show are on the contrary insanely brave, their bravery turns into pure stupidity- one is dealing with a heroine addict, the other one goes to the fire without anyone’s help.
That ending was so unrealistic. Like...anyone would just call the police..I was v pissed. Compliments to the author 👏🏾👏🏾💕

Iets hope, or it could be the real adele, who always kept louise company (times at the balcony, at louise's job in the office( beginning episode 3), she literaly talked to that pigeon) , but then at the end when "louise"(rob) enters the apartment, the pigeon "adele" knew that that was not louise but rob and then flew away..

@@sab889 if adele was alive in any capacity and ESPECIALLY that near to rob she would've taken her body back on one of the MANY occasions where Rob astral projected throughout the show.
as for Louise being the pigeon, I think all the evidence we have suggests that you can only steal the bodies of people who are able to astral project (that's why Rob had to teach Louise how to astral project) because you need the soul to be out of the body. The only way I could see that working in theory is if in-universe, animals like pigeons don't actually have souls and are thus free to be empty vessels, but I don't think there's anything in-show to support that theory lol
That scene where David goes to the train station to go to Scotland, i just knew David and Louise weren’t going to see each other again, I wasn’t expecting the twist AT ALL but I knew something was coming!
That was amazing ..the end blew my mind..haven't read the book yet..nd also I'm not a big fan of series ..that was literally the 3rd serie I see in my life..nd that was worth it..it reminded me a bit of the movie REBECCA ..nd this is my prefered genre of movies nd series..

Would be interesting if they made another series, like what if they show that (Louise) was quick and escaped out of Adeles body... keep in mind they did a lot of back story telling and kept showing details that were kept out at first... and a few years go past... adam gets older, he maybe finds robs journal and start figuring out everything that’s going on (escaping the body etc..) and they show Louise finding them and she spys on them (david and rob) , and she finds a way to contact with Adam (through his dreams maybe) and tell him everything that happened... and somewhere down the line they find a way to make rob pay for what he has done. Just a thought that would be interesting

Surely you can make a sequel out of this... cos souls can’t just disappear... however when bodies are not available then that’s understandable... I don’t hate the ending... it’s so clever. Like it’s more surely her son will realise time and time again that she’s not his mum... like the new husband is just in love and has no idea even though it’s clear she’s changed.

Came here right after watching the ending and although it left me sad I gotta say the ending really was incredible and I didn't see it coming until the last ep.
I actually thought the show might have been based on the universe of the Shining cause there's even a line in the first ep that seems to hint at it so I'm surprised it was an entirely original story.

I realize it was to blackmail David into never leaving but it would have made more sense for Rob to never tell David about "robs" death. Could have said they fought and he would never come back. Rob loved the mansion and the forest. He even said he would rather have no friends and live on her property. David took them away from the mansion because of the death. Rob lost what a part of what he killed for. Also who cared if David left? She could have had David sign back the rights to the property at the very beginning and then if he left Rob still had the property, money and other men he could have met as Adele was striking.
But Rob REALLY loves David too. You can even see it in his eyes the first time he meets him. Part of the problem is that Rob wanted David along with all the money and status.

When he knew Adele at the hospital, u can see he really cared deeply for Adele and their friendship. Once he visually seen the mansion and the scope of wealth she truly had, I think that's when the envy set in. He wanted to be a part of that life. He even joked to them about needing to hire a cook to live in the basement. He was hinting that he wanted to live there. They didn't catch on and ignored the remark. I think that's when he became determined.

Just finished the show right now, Im soooo mad at Louise!!! She could have avoided this but the pressure of being told that she needs to live a little also led to this. This was exciting and dangerous for her, for the first time in a long time she probably felt alive. And also in a twisted way she felt like she can save someone's life and that maybe gave her some purpose. That was her mistake, getting way too invested in a married man and his wife. I do hope they make a second season, there are so many unanswered questions. Is Louise really dead or is that her spirit in the pigeon in the flat? If so how does she come back because she doesn't have any fingers to count? How long can Rob keep this going, is he going to continue his drugs, but now there's a child involved that already suspects something, will he be able to hide the drug thing? Will David not see any changes in Louise's behavior, he was attracted to her bubbly personality from the get go, will he not see the changes? Will Louise's ex not notice anything? will there ever be justice for the real Adele and how will David feel when he finds this out, that his Adele has been dead for over 10 years, that he never really experienced a married life with her. And also the fire at Adele's house, what really happened there, was David involved, did he cause the fire because the parents disapproved and his family had money issues? He says he stayed because he felt guilty about Rob/Adele or did he feel guilty about the fire? Did he and Adele come up with this masterplan together to start the fire? There's still that question about how did he know about the fire, was he really sneaking in to see Adele, or was that all part of the plan? So many questions that need answers.

Rob was jealous of Adele and David relationship and lifestyle. He wanted so bad that he'll kill and blackmail anyone to get it. He wanted that fairytale. However, he could have killed David anytime which he didn't. Rob not only wanted the life and relationship but he also wanted David to love him and him alone. But, he knew David would catch on about the behavior of adele. So...what best is to create a blackmailing. Regardless of how David felt and how miserable he would with him. Misery loves company. But, if you don't change you're actions as well as your behavior behind that sick twisted way. You're going to lose the person and their interest in you. Trust me, it sucks when you having fix within yourself. But, all in all good movie. And as for Adam, he's a dead child. Rob could've given him back to his dad, made up some type of lie. Guess not.
My feeling was that Adam would end up at a boarding school or back with his dad. Rob doesn't want him around and Adam knows there is something wrong with his mom and doesn't like it.

Brilliant ending. I remember being gobsmacked when I first read it when the book came out a few years back. Then, like the author, it took me by surprise in the series, even though I already knew it. How does that happen??

season 2 is going to be so intresting because they didn’t show us Adele who is actually Louise, to be officially dead. when louise who is now Rob made it home to louises house she cut off a hospital band. and they didn’t update us on anything that happend to Adele who is now Louise. she could be alive in the hospital or in a coma.
If Adele/Louise was still alive in a coma then Louise/Rob wouldn't be able to marry David
EDIT: I think that Louise might be in the bird that was on the table or something
Well, the ending was clever but still needs a proper finish. I want Sarah to create more book series of 'Behind Her Eyes'!
As Rob is gay this showed why he is so in love with David and never had any interest in Adele.
Spoiler: Louise couldn’t enter the house when she realised what’s happening with Adele. It’s a major clue to her not being Louise cause in the end she is with Adele’s body and you’re like ‘hey Louise how did you manage to enter a house that’s not yours with no signs of break in?’ Something only David could notice...

Yep, if I recall this is actually what her ex-husband asked her about too and Rob/Louise brushed it off by saying he didn't want to talk about it. Let's hope some of these signs start to add up for David in a second season!
@@miffy891 I hope there even is a second season :( I am afraid that David’s rationalist mindset is not prone to bending, I just hope something clicks in his mind that makes him more open to the idea that something abnormal is going is going on with his wives
I thought the ending was brilliant tbh.. it had all of the elements that I love and nothing is what it seemed at first glance
.. the ending wraps up nicely imo. I'm glad they didn't leave us hanging.. it was a great story.. alot of wtf moments (but not in a bad way, just made you think.. but when it clicks.. IT REALLY CLICKS) I went back and watched it for a second time and I noticed little things.. like things 'Adele' and David would say to each other.. the colors of the spirits.. and WHO those spirits belonged to 👀. It was magnificent writing.. you never really know who the antagonist is until the end and it just kinda flips the whole story on its head but in a good way. I was very satisfied with this show.
