this is standard fitting in Uk and France, all pipes have u bends which stops any odors etc, no smells after 4 years in the Gite or anywhere I've ever lived... many thanks
we thought about it, but the only internal walls that face into the bedroom will have two skins of plasterboard and will also be tilled as you we see soon.... many thanks
I drove past on Tuesday on my way back from Vix to my home north of Fontenay-le-Comte. Such a charming village. I cannot believe the transformation inside your house... it has been nearly three years since you started?
@OurFrenchHouseRenovation Five years! I would love to see in person what you have done. I moved here permanently in May. And have a lot to do, to get my house suitable for winter living.
Hi, nice work on everything - as usual. Can you show a close-up of the overhang above the window beside the door (what I think is the front door) - the image is shown from a distance at 14:07 - is that a lime mortar plastered overhang? Very cute, I'm curious.
A good job done ,can I ask ,how does the water get into sistern to flush toilet and water for shower ,do you have a water feed in loft ,just curious???
thanks, all the water comes from the tank in the kitchen, the water pressure in France is very high, 5 x more than the UK, in my last house the tank was in the cellar, and fed three upstairs bathrooms, with no problem... many thanks
So great to see the three of you getting all of this work done. Great job and looking forward to seeing a beautiful bathroom!! Well done!

Always wondered how thick the stone wall was and now I know. Will you insulate the bathroom wall to reduce sound transfer?
we thought about it, but the only internal walls that face into the bedroom will have two skins of plasterboard and will also be tilled as you we see soon.... many thanks
👍👍👍
thank you
The outcome of the pipes are on the outside of the wall. What about the winter months, when it becomes below zero degree Celsius?
there is no water in these pipes, it all goes straight into the septic tank, many thanks

I think the area you are meaning is concrete left by the previous owners.. one day it will all be lime mortar ... many thanks
Are you covering outside pipes to keep from freezing in winter?
no, as there is no water in these pipes, it all flushes into the septic tank.. many thanks
