One thing's different. In the other ending, visiting the gravesite, its easier to imagine that Leo has changed in regard to the plight of androids. Not certain, but I get more of that vibe. In this ending, however, Carl is sympathetic but he's going to die soon anyway, and Leo is making promises but I have doubts he's so serious. This ending is perfectly symbolic of getting your initial gratification instead of retaining bigger lessons and paying bigger costs.

This made me so emotional and moved my heart, the fact that they connect with each other on a deep respectful, and beautiful level makes me happy to see no judgement in the scene at all
I feel as though the first scene in which you decide whether or not to use violence, Carl tests you. He tells you that you need to stand up for yourself moments prior to the events, and then tells you not to defend yourself. As if testing whether or not an android can think for their own well-being or if so much as an order makes them weak and obedient. It's a deserving punishment for the player to lose Carl for ignoring his advice.
But at the same time, it's also very human to act to his wishes. You know that Leo is his son and he asks you not to do anything, so it's fair to say that some people would also react that way. Some would push back, others would endure, I wouldn't call that a punishment per se, it's just how the situation rolls and how you deal in the heat of the moment.

"One day I won't be here to protect you." The chess taught Markus strategy and compromise. The books taught him philosophy, irony, and "the golden rule" (see Aladdin)

Carl was wonderful. Even when Markus had started an uprising, an entire revolution and civil war, which Carl almost definitely knew about, he still gave what honest advice he could. Even when Markus puts his son into a coma, and Carl is trying to hold his son, he's still concerned about Markus's safety: "Go, they'll kill you, you have to go!"

Seeing Markus and Carl's story arc, it makes more sense for Markus' character to be full on pacifist. He's been guided by Carl all through out his life so it seems out of character for Markus to lead a violent revolution imo.
Spoiler Warning: Not to me, not after the humans started killing the androids without cause in Freedom March and went full Nazi on the androids. (I don't condone shooting cops in the back or when they're disarmed though) Though a violent revolution is only practical if Connor becomes deviant and joins Jericho. That way the androids have the numbers and military strength to actually stand a chance against the humans. Otherwise forget it.
Hearing him call Markus his son reminded me so much of Lance Henricksen's other role as Kerchek in Tarzan when he finally called Tarzan his son before dying, which really made my heart ache
i literally cried at this bit when i played this such beautiful scene the relationship between Markus and Carl was so special and sweet you can see how much they care about each other like father and son relationship best game i played i got best ending everyone survived and got best ending as well
As this part is one of the more powerful scenes in the game, for me,.the developers should have added a clincher line to what Carl said to Markus (acknowledging him as his "son"). Somewhere along the lines of "Thank you, Dad. I won't forget."

My theory about Markus: Markus really is Carl's son. But when Carl's wife got pregnant with him, he died before she even knew she was pregnant. So the baby's soul just took the android body. Markus really is Carl's son. Just in android form. So Markus is Leo's brother!!😊😊 This might be why Markus calls Carl "Dad". And also why Carl says "you are my son Markus".
DBH has so many nice and touching scenes...it shows the future,how the world will become and also teaching us so many things.i havent played the game long enough but carl is by far my favorite character in the game right now
Carl was my overall favorite character. He was like a true father to Markus and when i saw him die I felt markus's pain like he was my dad. This game was very interesting and amazing
This scene had me becoming so sad.. from the beginning of the game I felt I regret pushing Leo at first only to realise it was better. Seeing Karl and Markus reunite is heartbreaking and the emotion between the two is brilliant
3:05 This is the only android that is "freed" but still chooses to remain and at its post. That's actually interesting since every other robot immediately jumps on the rebellion movement. I know it's because Carl is super kind to all his machines but it does make me notice how this was a point that David Cage could have explored more in this game.

Also shooting Todd is the better option because then he can't trash androids in public and drag down the andriods' reputation. You'll also remove him as an obstacle when you get to the bus terminal all'though you can persuade him to leave you be if you searched his room for a hidden android magazine.
I beg to differ. Leaving Todd alive means if you're able to persuade him to let you go at the terminal you get a heartwarming moment and a conversation that humanizes Todd beyond being a walking cliche when you first learn about his character.

This is why the peaceful protest works best for Marcus. He has seen first hand that humans can be respectful and co-exist with androids with Carl.
Carl was my overall favorite character. He was like a true father to Markus and when i saw him die I felt markus's pain like he was my dad. This game was very interesting and amazing

This scene had me becoming so sad.. from the beginning of the game I felt I regret pushing Leo at first only to realise it was better. Seeing Karl and Markus reunite is heartbreaking and the emotion between the two is brilliant

3:05 This is the only android that is "freed" but still chooses to remain and at its post. That's actually interesting since every other robot immediately jumps on the rebellion movement. I know it's because Carl is super kind to all his machines but it does make me notice how this was a point that David Cage could have explored more in this game.
What about the relationship between Kara and Alice? Kara chose to remain at Alice's side, even when she became deviant.
@@tidan4575 But Kara always knew Alice was an android even before she went deviant. She's not following Todd's orders, she's taking care of her own kind. It's a bad twist and one a producer should have fought Cage on.

Also shooting Todd is the better option because then he can't trash androids in public and drag down the andriods' reputation. You'll also remove him as an obstacle when you get to the bus terminal all'though you can persuade him to leave you be if you searched his room for a hidden android magazine.
I beg to differ. Leaving Todd alive means if you're able to persuade him to let you go at the terminal you get a heartwarming moment and a conversation that humanizes Todd beyond being a walking cliche when you first learn about his character.
Actually if he stays alive you can convince him to be a better person and clean up his life
