Never seen the one where machine Connor in the audience chooses not to shoot and gets yelled at. That was actually a really good scene. How sudden it was for him and the emotion was brilliant.
my first playthrough was a perfect peaceful revolution with Connor intentionally not being deviant but failing to stop Markus... and then the Amanda thing happened... I wanted that to be the moment for Connor to back down, but I couldn't find the back door. No idea what to look for. That game gave me a crazy rollercoaster of emotions. I was screaming NOOOOO at my screen.
I'm guessing Markus doing peaceful protest with Connor still machine. I know if doing revolution, machine Connor encounters Markus on the plaza for a 'final fight' but on peaceful there is no confrontation with them post-crossroads.
When Connor gets to convert the androids at CyberLife while having all the androids from Jericho gets killed. The new converted androids makes Connor the leader because everybody from Jericho died and he's now the oldest deviant there.
Flynn John It's probably because it's zoomed out, making all the androids appear less detailed. Things do look less realistic when seeing them from a far-out point-of-view.
Of course, as Kamski said in that secret interview: "no matter how closely they imitate humans, they are still just machines." After watching the Detroit: BH playthroughs, I feel like I understand the underlying theme a little better. Here's my what-ifs on the background and I would wish for a little feedback on what you think is wrong or right with my theories: I feel like the most realistic reason of Detroit: Become Human, is that Markus was an android sent by Kamski. Markus would either 1.) win a revolution by the ability of the ra9 virus to disobey commands and follow its own decisions while Kamski allows this to happen, 2.) Kamski can use Markus once he has control of the entire android population as leverage against Cyberlife for whatever reason he left (or if he wanted back in), or maybe 3.) Make sure the rebellion would happen so that he could return to his position as CEO for Cyberlife. There is always the possibility that Markus could be designed to lead androids to a victory march, but remember: Kamski developed the original algorithm for the android's programming. Whatever he did, he probably also made sure he could have a backup program that led to Cyberlife losing their control on them, just in case he wanted his old job back and needed a reason. If anyone wants to know why machines are disobeying their masters, why not ask the man who built the program in the first place? Come to think of it, why didn't the Cyberlife police brute-force their way into Kamski's place and forced information out of him? I think Connor was the antagonist which Cyberlife wanted to use to prevent the uprising. By contrast to Markus, an RK-200 series, he is an prototype model - the RK-800 Android sent directly from Cyberlife. His model included a self-regulating test which allowed the humans to check on its progress daily. But he is still based off the original algorithm that Kamski made; which means he, too, has the ability to exit the self-regulating test and disobey commands - especially useful for Kamski, who does not want Cyberlife to interfere with his own creations. But Connor has to have a high enough software instability in order for this to work, for without the instability, the self-regulating test will allow him to be hacked, especially if he depends on it a lot. In my opinion, Connor in the game has at least three choices: 1.) He can find the escape button, leave his own "obedience" algorithm, and follow Markus. If he never died throughout the entire playthrough his software instability will be so high that it is almost impossible for him to choose to be controlled, but Cyberlife has the rebellion at a perfect spot and will always activate their self-regulation test when Markus is on the podium, during which Connor can find the escape and stop Cyberlife or lose and Connor will have completed the mission that Cyberlife set him out for - controlling or stopping the rebellion. 2.) Connor can defect from the deviants, cleverly gets Markus kicked (or conveniently Markus gets himself kicked out), becomes the new leader of Jericho, and then gets controlled by Cyberlife to order androids to do whatever they want to do. But he was never programmed to be a leader. He was programmed to be a detective. There is a reason Markus specifically becomes the new leader of the androids - he was a gift of Kamski to Carl Manfred. Meaning, Markus was Kamski's prototype, while the Connor series was Cyberlife's prototype. Previous versions of androids did not have a self-regulatory test, but Connor did. 3.) Connor kills himself to prevent Cyberlife from controlling himself and other androids. All androids carry deactivation codes, of course. But Kamski has an escape program probably for two reasons: 1.) the original algorithm prevents androids from putting up with or accepting abuse from humans, as a means of protecting PEOPLE, NOT just androids. If an android is suffering abuse, it probably means that the person is mentally unstable. 2.) the deactivation codes may be unhelpful if the android is actually helping a victim of abuse and manages to protect them as Kara did with what she thought was a child (Alive), so whatever Kamski did, he also allowed the original algorithm to cancel the deactivation codes. This can have adverse consequences, as we see with Daniel in the beginning chapter. But now that I think about it, I don't know if those theories can make sense. How about another theory: Kamski originally intended to create the ultimate Turing Test machine, a machine that could similate human feelings, thoughts, and emotions so well that people would not be able to tell them apart. He could create the ultimate machine - but what could they be used for? Cyberlife decided to answer that. They bought his models - though not his algorithm, and placed obedience-restrictors on the newer models and mass produced them, selling them for ridiculous profits, completely unbalancing the economics of Detroit and creating a massive boom which ruins employment and businesses, while creating a city that becomes completely dependent on these "slaves". Cyberlife advertised the androids as "whatever-you-wannabe's", promising to fulfill mankind's need for happiness and convenience now rather than later. So the androids became a part of extreme capitalism, instead of Kamski's intended idea of advanced cybernetical machines of data and human emotion. It may be why Kamski is so calm and peaceful about the whole time Hank and Connor are there - he knew that Cyberlife were the ones who really messed up by thinking they could simply sell his masterpiece, and he doesn't want to fix their mess. Live and let live, right? I wonder how close I got. But I am done thinking now. :) God bless you and keep you safe. Pax!
Bro just explained a lot of the plot holes its not a clearcut explanation but it makes the most sense and makes kamski a lot more interesting Guess the only plot hole is that just because Markus is kicked out or killed Connor can't escape the hacking program. Like you said it could be cyberlife's plan but he can still have the same high software instability as the other run, as long as markus is the one who gets himself kicked out or killed. He should be able still to overcome Cyberlife's hacking attempts completely. Plus in the one where he's in the crowd listening to the speech, which you get by being a machine but giving up shooting Markus when on the rooftop with Hank who makes Connor reconsider, Connor is able to find the backdoor and refrain from shooting Markus without killing himself! Does he not trust himself enough to lead the revolution, or is Cyberlife relentless in hacking him once he's leader? Just because he's programmed with the self-regulation test which Markus doesn't have, he has to shoot himself when Markus isn't around? Is Connor always fighting the hacking attempts, or is he only able to overcome it completely in VERY specific circumstances, or is this just a plothole I have a feeling it's just another scene written to be dramatic but with not much logical reason, like the whole "who's real connor?!?!" at the tower.
Amanda kind of confuses me. In one ending cyberlife wanted them to lead and congrats Connor becoming the leader and turning deviant, but in others she talks how he will be terminated, BUT if Connor tries to kill himself she's mad. Make up your mind Amanda!
Cyber Life pretending they were planning on an android revolution this whole time makes no sense. Connor shooting himself after breaking free of Cyber Life's control also makes no sense.
It's kinda shitty that deviant Connor can't be the leader if he ends up the only one left. The suicide option doesn't make a lot of sense. When he (spoilers) uses the emergency exit with Markus/North/Jericho, Amanda no longer has control and Connor moves on. So why, when done in this scenario, does he go through with the suicide? It's understandable if his character just isn't the leader type (because he's really not) but it doesn't mean the option should be completely denied when in other routes it's capable.
Actually, in the ending you use for your example, that scene (to me) implies that Conner is still not completely in control. Or at least going to be struggling with Amanda in his head. Think about the scene again. If you manage to escape, then the camera takes a shot at everyone’s faces. They all look pretty happy. But then the camera pans to Conner, and he isn’t smiling much at all. The music even ends on a sour note. So it’s likely Conner isn’t simply free of Amanda once that happens. So, with that knowledge, it would make sense that Conner would commit suicide once taking back control. It’s likely Amanda would try to resume control over his program again, and sooner or later he won’t make it to that button in time. It wouldn’t be logical to take that chance, and so Conner kills himself.
It makes somewhat sense to me. From the give up ending and Amandas dialogue 'we will do great things together' makes it sound really negative. If amanda anticipated this she's technically been 'controlling' Connor from the start and it makes sense If he realised that he couldn't get rid of her and shed constantly be in control. To me out of the options, suicide made sense and was actually the 'happiest' ending because it meant Connor used his free will and escaped Amandas control. Even tho he dead
Why is deviant Connor such a mood with Amanda and the vibe it gives off is just "I disappoint mom with my life choices"? lmao Amanda: Okay Connor go accomplish your mission Connor: Okay Amanda I will also Connor: *lets all deviants live and then becomes a deviant himself* Amanda: *surprised pikachu face*
To everyone: Don't be really sad, because if Hank survives and you choose (As Connor) to not suicide, you still can see a cutscene where Connor hugs Hank There I have 3 theories: 1. Connor didn't really give up (never gonna give you up!), and he then broke out from their control (like in other endings, where he just really leave cyberlife) 2. He already got out of Cyberlife control and Amanda WANTS Connor to commit suicide (You know, better for them to kill deviant leader than Control him, because after some time the androids will notice he's not deviant behavior) 3. He's just really good at faking emotions.
That has got to be a programming mistake for them to still show Hank cutscene. Another theory: Connor doesn't care about the revolution and just wants to meet Hank and pet Sumo again. After all most of those interactions were before he was even deviant
Kamski is an interesting dude, he created Markus and Markus shares some abilities with Connor, but unlike Connor he has no Amanda, so maybe Kamski knew this would happen and created Markus so the androids stood a chance.
How do you get the news anchors and the president to say that? I choose peace always, and the anchors remained dickish towards the androids, specially the blonde lady.
Gonx br yeah as I said, I did all the peaceful options and had good public opinion but at the end the president was just like: we’ll speak to the senate and see what happens. The anchors weren’t as supportive either, they were pretty neutral with me. I even lost Simon bc I didn’t kill the guy at the news station tower
Because connor being deviant and freeing the androids at cyberlife tower makes her say millions of androids invaded Detroit but that is only if connor succeeds in freeing them
If you do peace and everyone lives and Connor goes deviant and gets the androids, then public opinion will be as high as possible but the news anchors will still be wary
What do you prefer? A leader that follows the will of the general public or a leader who follows their own beliefs on what is right? Mob rule vs autocrat? Popular will vs general good? Really disliked the president for being such a sheep in this tbh. Comes off as opportunistic.
fl333r Without going into politics to much, it's canon that Pres. Warren became President through her VLogging-career. This I believe to show the rising importance of communication and social media
The irony here is that usually you get this scene if your don't trust Connor. And even if Connor had gone deviant he'll come back this way. There's also a scene where you can talk to a revolutionary Markcus and you can let him go or you can kill him. Machine Connor has that choice. This one's a little nicer this one predisposes because Connor was already deviant at one point that Connor might still be deviant this is the reason you got the choice. Another variation is if you wind up on the rooftop with Hank if you have a high affinity with Hank and your best friends and Connor has had doubts. He's going to put that sniper rifle down and walk away it doesn't matter what you want because his friendship to Hank is enough to sway him. He instantly does what Hank asked him to do even if he doesn't like it.
Even though you can't shoot Amanda, I think she still gets what she deserves. If Connor becomes deviant and escapes the snow land, he basically erased his entire mission programming and software, thereby erasing Amanda with it. Now Amanda is all but nothing and left to be forgotten
In the scene where Connor stands behind Marcus and he stops Amanda from taking control over him you can also fail. If you don't manage to find the magic stone 3 times, Connor will shoot Marcus
Android - gives long, emotional motivational speech to other androids. President - we will determine if they can be a considered a form of intelligent life
I don't really understand the "Amanda wins" scenario. She says that they "engineered an Android Revolution and now we control the leader". But what was the point of engineering the Android Evolution and creating machines that have free will?
She's making it all up to pretend she's still in control. One thing a business won't want to do is admit mistakes. Amanda doesn't want to admit that Cyber Life failed, not with Cyber Life still capable of regaining control over Connor. So she lies and tells him that all of the revolution was planned, though it makes zero sense. The writers must have been drunk writing that part of the script.
Their machines don’t have free will. Deviancy was always programmed. The only one who can really be deviant is Connor when he shoots himself. But CyberLife (Kamski) created androids for taking control. RK model was created for convert all of the others (and that’s NOT freedom, they don’t have a choice). So, they are not free. They will never be free. They have the illusion of freedom. But they are machines. This is sad, but true.
That KNC reporter said 'they don't feel real emotions' in two ways and presented it as two distinct possibilities. At least they accurately portray how media pundits be doing their business in this game.
This is why I'm wondering what the Kamski's emergency exit actually is, and why it doesn't have the same effect depending on if Connor is a deviant/machine (free from Cyberlife) or the leader (shoot himself or being under Cyberlife control)
This is why the happy ending is canon for nearly everyone. He’s the best character of the game and they want him to be happy ❤️ he’s only been deviant for a few hours, meaning only truly lived for that long, he doesn’t deserve this 💔🤧
The suicide one breaks me heart! Also, he escapes with the exit program so why does he still have to shoot himself? He doesn't have to in the other endings!! D:
Wait just a moment. In the ending where Connor is in the crowd, him touching that weird device thing gave him full control of his body. So then, in the ending where he shoots himself.... WHY does he need to shoot himself? Shouldn't touching the 'backdoor' Kamski left give him control once more? Thus making suicide irrelevant??
Lmao when he doesn't say anything when he's on his own the androids must be like : "wtf r u doing bro we asked you to do a speech not stand there and blink"
Top Baller No, Alice is a special modell, since she was designed to be like a human child, so she has temperature sensors, and can feel cold. Those can be turned off tho.
1. Connor's case: The Zen Garden and what happens in it is all in his mind, he doesn't actually feel cold, it's more or less a metaphor for him losing control over his body and his mind trapped in the Zen Garden and never returning again. 2. Kara's case: She doesn't feel temperature either, but her biocomponents can't handle extreme cold and break. (That's the case for pretty much every android.) 3. Alice's case: Alice is a special model who's designed to be like a real child, she can actually feel temperature. That option can be turned off.

11:41 I believe this is Conner committing suicide? It’s an odd placement, but it’s there...?
Amanda: now we control its only leader
Connor: you can’t do that if I’m dead
1:38 That Connor's face so beautiful, has so much sense.
4:46 Lol Androids Just Screaming Without Action xD Execept For The Androids In Front xD
Jovan Carl Yeah, I found that really weird.
Probably too much things going on like alot of action would make the game lag XD
Ye I thought the same
In the bottom right corner you can seem one move in the center of the spotlight
Flynn John It's probably because it's zoomed out, making all the androids appear less detailed. Things do look less realistic when seeing them from a far-out point-of-view.
Of course, as Kamski said in that secret interview: "no matter how closely they imitate humans, they are still just machines."
After watching the Detroit: BH playthroughs, I feel like I understand the underlying theme a little better. Here's my what-ifs on the background and I would wish for a little feedback on what you think is wrong or right with my theories:
I feel like the most realistic reason of Detroit: Become Human, is that Markus was an android sent by Kamski.
In my opinion, Connor in the game has at least three choices:
1.) He can find the escape button, leave his own "obedience" algorithm, and follow Markus.
God bless you and keep you safe. Pax!
Mucho texto
Kinda make sense
Sheesh, this theory is fire
Bro just explained a lot of the plot holes its not a clearcut explanation but it makes the most sense and makes kamski a lot more interesting
Guess the only plot hole is that just because Markus is kicked out or killed Connor can't escape the hacking program. Is Connor always fighting the hacking attempts, or is he only able to overcome it completely in VERY specific circumstances, or is this just a plothole
I have a feeling it's just another scene written to be dramatic but with not much logical reason, like the whole "who's real connor?!?!" at the tower.
Connor shooting himself after breaking free of Cyber Life's control also makes no sense.
barbaro267 I agree!
Yeah it doesn't make sense that Connr kills himself. He broke through his program so he shouldn't kill himself unless he still wasn't in control
ArchangelofMusic 96 He shot himself because he thought that Amanda would try and take control again.
ArchangelofMusic 96 He barely made it out of the control. He couldnt have risked it happening again.
Well...now I am sad 😭😭😭
Aight someone tell me this: Is Amanda Connor's sleep paralysis demon?
Geez I feel bad for you
It's been a year and no one has answered yet
In my opinion? Yes it's definitely Connor's sleep paralysis demon
if connor had the ability to sleep? totally.
3:36 “You did what you were designed to do….fishing” *disappears*
“N-no, i…I fished…I FHIIIIIIIIIIIIIISHED!!”
Why is deviant Connor such a mood with Amanda and the vibe it gives off is just "I disappoint mom with my life choices"? lmao
Amanda: Okay Connor go accomplish your mission
Connor: Okay Amanda I will
also Connor: *lets all deviants live and then becomes a deviant himself*
Amanda: *surprised pikachu face*
To everyone: Don't be really sad, because if Hank survives and you choose (As Connor) to not suicide, you still can see a cutscene where Connor hugs Hank
There I have 3 theories:
1. Connor didn't really give up (never gonna give you up!), and he then broke out from their control (like in other endings, where he just really leave cyberlife)
2. He already got out of Cyberlife control and Amanda WANTS Connor to commit suicide (You know, better for them to kill deviant leader than Control him, because after some time the androids will notice he's not deviant behavior)
3. He's just really good at faking emotions.
That has got to be a programming mistake for them to still show Hank cutscene. Another theory: Connor doesn't care about the revolution and just wants to meet Hank and pet Sumo again. After all most of those interactions were before he was even deviant
12:08 *cries*
Amanda: You did what you were designed to do. Mission.
Connor: ...
3:38
Kamski is an interesting dude, he created Markus and Markus shares some abilities with Connor, but unlike Connor he has no Amanda, so maybe Kamski knew this would happen and created Markus so the androids stood a chance.
But Kamski makes Amanda.
@@Philicius9276 Amanda is a real person that was inserted into Connor, but Markus was designed by kamski himself to start the android revolution.
It's amazing, you can really get emotionally attached to the characters easily while playing.
How do you get the news anchors and the president to say that? I choose peace always, and the anchors remained dickish towards the androids, specially the blonde lady.
Jorge Tamez Public Opinion
Gonx br yeah as I said, I did all the peaceful options and had good public opinion but at the end the president was just like: we’ll speak to the senate and see what happens. The anchors weren’t as supportive either, they were pretty neutral with me. I even lost Simon bc I didn’t kill the guy at the news station tower
Jorge Tamez Well that's weird then.
10:38 i like when connor he just stand there
Connor:he is a little Busy right know
Deviants:why his not talking he just stand there
What do you prefer? A leader that follows the will of the general public or a leader who follows their own beliefs on what is right?
Mob rule vs autocrat? Popular will vs general good?
Really disliked the president for being such a sheep in this tbh. Comes off as opportunistic.
fl333r Well she is based on Trump.
She is clearly based on Clinton and that is why she is a sheep of a president.
fl333r Without going into politics to much, it's canon that Pres. Warren became President through her VLogging-career. This I believe to show the rising importance of communication and social media
What could be worst than having to choose between two evils?
Definitely based off of HITLERy
Amanda in an android too..

Damn, nice one
Gavrilo Princip shoots Franc Ferdinand 1914 (colorised)
Obey Amanda
Amanda: don’t care
Disobey Amanda
Amanda: WTF BOI YOU DO WHAT I TELL YOU
Poor Connor on the last endings. 😢 He couldn’t ever truly be free. Even as a deviant, he was still on Cyberlife’s leash.
Even though you can't shoot Amanda, I think she still gets what she deserves. If Connor becomes deviant and escapes the snow land, he basically erased his entire mission programming and software, thereby erasing Amanda with it. Now Amanda is all but nothing and left to be forgotten
Next game: Detroit Become Android
Detroit : become ios
To DeSkyLol123 bahaha
It’s funny at the end when the crowd starts cheering no one is even moving.
The coolest character is connor but most father character is markus
TH-cam captions *you were compromised and became the DVD* lol lol lol
1:50 HEADSHOT
In the scene where Connor stands behind Marcus and he stops Amanda from taking control over him you can also fail. If you don't manage to find the magic stone 3 times, Connor will shoot Marcus
*2:00** : adolf hitler speech in munich 1923 colorised.*
nah seriously change a few words and you got hitlers speech lol
**Markus do the hand thing like hitler does**
notenex why tf are you talking about hitler
5:29 is that.. Alice and Kara? How did you let them get there akin off and they still live? And Markus still does the speech?
Kathy Kat Pretty sure it’s when Markus liberates the camps just before Alice and Kara get recycled. You can look it up
@Laki Lucky V what happens If you have Luther with you?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that was weird.
May be Cyberlife wants to control Android's leader. So they can control whole city with that army LOL
Because they don't have to fix them anymore and yet still have control over them. Their only master is Cyberlife
1:14 Carl: Am I a joke to you?
Yeah Markus was the least qualified android to accuse the humans there
Connor's trembling makes me sad augzjxj
That KNC reporter said 'they don't feel real emotions' in two ways and presented it as two distinct possibilities.
At least they accurately portray how media pundits be doing their business in this game.
Ow my soul
“You did what you were designed to do mission”😂😂
This is why I'm wondering what the Kamski's emergency exit actually is, and why it doesn't have the same effect depending on if Connor is a deviant/machine (free from Cyberlife) or the leader (shoot himself or being under Cyberlife control)
11:39 when the anti social kid is forced to make a speech at school
7:38 * Cheering *

All this is going on while the entire crowd is standing perfectly still and cheering
Finally played this game. Simply amazing! Would love to see it be a movie.
This is why the happy ending is canon for nearly everyone. He’s the best character of the game and they want him to be happy ❤️ he’s only been deviant for a few hours, meaning only truly lived for that long, he doesn’t deserve this 💔🤧
You did give up twice when you were supposed to do connor suicide
Wow cool GO GET THE TRENDING
Connor Show you again connor
I see u everywhere Connor
2:57 AWE HE LOOKS SO SCARED
The suicide one breaks me heart! Also, he escapes with the exit program so why does he still have to shoot himself? He doesn't have to in the other endings!! D:
7:50 the fact that this player let everyone die in the battle cause no one is on stage XD
Underrated comment

amanda: assuming direct control!!!!!!
If I have to take you apart, Connor, I will
8:09 Connor's face not happy...
This game REALLY deserved an epilouge dlc
1:31 Look at the left and you will see an android looks like the one that Connor interrogated
Is not the same model, but it seems like Carlos' android.
The best moment is when you don't let Amanda to take over but have everyone in the game alive
Thus making suicide irrelevant??
connor: **fuckin commits**
the androids:
the androids: what the hell we gon do now
Connor: kills Markus
The others: well then
Lmao when he doesn't say anything when he's on his own the androids must be like : "wtf r u doing bro we asked you to do a speech not stand there and blink"
2:39 how do you get connor in the crowd with the other androids?
@Laki Lucky V Thank you so much for telling me man :)
'Hi, I'm Connor, I'm the deviant sent by Jericho'
I wonder if androids don’t have body temperatures how is Connor feeling the cold and how did Kara freeze in the lake?
It's all in his head, he's being 'frozen' and disabled
Kara's biocomponants are what are freezing anyway,
Lisa Ennis is that for Alice as well?
Top Baller No, Alice is a special modell, since she was designed to be like a human child, so she has temperature sensors, and can feel cold. Those can be turned off tho.
1. Connor's case: The Zen Garden and what happens in it is all in his mind, he doesn't actually feel cold, it's more or less a metaphor for him losing control over his body and his mind trapped in the Zen Garden and never returning again.
2. Kara's case: She doesn't feel temperature either, but her biocomponents can't handle extreme cold and break. (That's the case for pretty much every android.)
3. Alice's case: Alice is a special model who's designed to be like a real child, she can actually feel temperature. That option can be turned off.
in the zen garden, weather is not supposed to change.
but as Connor grows to show empathy (due to hank), he begins to doubt things and the garden in his mind becomes unstable.
Imagine if you had Amanda as your teacher. I think i would shit myself if i did something wrong.
8:27ここ日本語バージョンのときめっちゃ可愛いやつやん。

1:47 Well, Connor was always a machine.
Edit: Connor is too badass at that part xD
