    Man those bergers are gorgeous projectiles, I havent loaded any of those, best I've done is sierras and nosler, I have used, well continue to use the nosler cc 7 mag brass, has treated me well, granted I dont shoot f class but mid to long range nevertheless. Looks good buddy. And good luck at the matches!

    Love the videos and the insight you give together with your take on new hardware for reloading. I see in this video you say that you tumble the brass again to get rid of the lube? I remember that in an earlier video you were using One Shot and said that you didn't bother cleaning the lube off as it didn't seem to make a difference? Have you changed your mind or using a different lube for the cases?

    Love that Amp Press. That is a whole lot of ammo there. Nice that you can have someone haul the ammo for the V2 to TN. Good luck John.

      Thank you and yes, it's a great group of guys in F Class and most will help each other out without question.

    I'd love to see all the inconsistently seated rounds in one group recording where each shot landed.

    Seeing this makes me happy I'm just a competitive BPCR shooter and that's it. Man... 800 rounds of ammo for a match? On an arbor press? Ouch!

    How did you mod your funnel with the higher sides?

    • @FClassJohn

      I went to the hardware store and bought some thin wall PVC that I think was 2 inch diameter and then wrapped a few pieces of painters tape around it until it fits snugly.

    Hey, John. Pertaining to handloading, in your opinion, what would you consider to be the current weak link for the needs of your sport (F-class)? I don't get to shoot nearly as much as I'd like to, but I do have quite a bit of extra time off the range. I'd love to try and come up with a solution to a problem you guys may have in order to help the community. You get the first prototype and fully functional production version of course, lol.

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the kind offer. Honestly, dropping powder is almost always the biggest choke point in reloading although recent innovations have helped improve that considerably. Next to that is probably priming.

    What press and die combo do you use to expand necks?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For expanding, I use a Lee APP Press and a Porter Precision gage pin die set.

    • @Howlin23
      @Howlin23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FClassJohn thanks John! I could really see the APP Press for depriming and expanding for sure. Also, do you offer classes like I’ve previously heard you reference in some videos?

    Nice video John,
    Are you using rice media for the final tumbling process? Thanks!

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have used rice quite a bit but I’m currently using steel cut oats and testing that out.

    • @travisweldmaster7815
      @travisweldmaster7815 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rice, huh, never even considered something like that, I wet tumble mainly with ss pins, size, trim, chamfered debur then tumble without any media just a drip of dawn an 9mm case of lemashine , if I'm In a hurry I'll throw all the brass on cooking sheets and load the oven(got a good wife lol) usually do that anyway so no spots, I need to try dry tumbling, I started out wet and just never really looked back

    Why do you prime before mandrel but not vice versa?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lazy mostly. Sometimes it works out and I prime first then expand. Doesn't really seem to matter which way works better to be honest.

      Sadly TH-cam barely pays out, because they are so anti-gun. They're happy to make money on ads for themselves but often times demonetize my videos. In some cases I have videos with over 100k views that barely made $10. The biggest thing that helps is when people click my affiliate link for Amazon in the description and then buy whatever they want. Doesn't cost them anything but helps support my channel.

    What purpose does the extended tube on the funnel serve?

    • @AlecksACe
      @AlecksACe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is to fit more powder into the case

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As said below it helps allow more powder to better fit in a case. It also help keep the funnel up above the brass so less chance of bumping into things.

    What happened with the V4 ?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I still use it especially for load development but currently my v3 with the Ingenuity Precision trickler is much faster. Over 700rds it was almost an hour faster. Adam is working on running changes for the v4 which should speed it up considerably.

    John, you sound miserable. I'm thinking it may be because you are. That's why I stopped almost all tournaments / competition. It takes all the fun out of it. And eventually it just becomes a BIG NERVE-RACKING CHORE. I face enough drudgery in other phases of my life. I just don't need it from my hobbies.

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate that but any misery in my voice isn’t from reloading or shooting. In fact they’re about the only times I’m feeling good and don’t hurt.
