is there a difference between throttle cut and throttle hold? can you tell me what it is? I set up hold switch in the flight mode setup. then setting up the model under the D/R menu there is something called throttle cut. Just confused what the difference is. thanks
Gene Sultan throttle hold is used to maintain a locked throttle speed. As for nitro helicopters you wouldnt kill the throttle the way but only down to about 15% also for electric helis or even planes you wanna keep engines idle instead of killing it as you do with throttle cut. Hope this helps :)
Hey Bengt, in one of the videos you said when binding a plane with this radio that you should turn the throttle trim all the way down, does that apply to edf's as well?
Hi Gary. I belive it is due to various ESC and Throttle endpoints/Calibrations. Let's say your flying an helicopter with a castle 160A ESC. when you calibrate the endpoints you end up with 112% top and 110% bottom stick. If your Throttle cut is set to 0 it will not stop the motor.
Thanks. Just bought the DX9 few weeks ago, but the manual is nothing worth - so these kinds of "tips and tricks" videos are very helpful :-)
Thank you Sir. great to be at help.
Great work on these Dx9 tutorials! Please make more!!!
Great Vid Benjt.....old guy like me needs all the tricks for the DX9..Many Thanks
Takk Bengt! 👍🏽
So after the binding, do you put the trim back to center or leave it down?
Pls can you show us how to setup 7 points pitch and throttle curve on dx9! It's only be able to set 5 points as dx8....Thanks mate....
Bengt nice vid
Thank you Sir

i do it on all my electric models :)
How to make failsafe in DX9 black edition in the airplane engine. Please advice to me please😁
It is automatic. Just set throttlecut. Then try to turn of your radio while in throttle. The engine/motor will stop.
why do I want it set it to -130?....isn't 0 or even - 10 good enough?

I understand now.....so it's to be sure the throttle cut works , even with other unknowns.. ..thanks
This will only work on single engine, for multi engine check out my video dx6 voice easy ,multi engine cut off!
