Dave. Anybody watches and heeds your advice on throttle cut, you may have saved a life threatening injury. Throttle cut in my opinion is the most important setting and feature of a radio. Glad to see that Spektrum also set this radio up for you to have to enable throttle cut BEFORE you can adjust programming on SMART receivers. 👍👍
Great tutorial. At last I understand the "Req Stick Low?" function. I have been searching for an explanation of this for ages. Great safety feature and I have now set all my planes (all electric) on my DX6e to "Yes". Many thanks.
Thanks for the info. I have an iX radio but it's about the same. I wish the "Require Stick Low" worked both ways .... accidentally hitting the throttle cut switch while at full throttle and flying at low altitude would be a nightmare as well, especially with a turbine where the restart takes a little while.
Nice Video! Have you any idea where to set the value for the "throttle low!" voice? When the voice says "throttle low" my motor is still running. Is the only chance to correct this the throttle curve?I wonder if there is a value for this command? Thanx for help
Hello Love the videos :) I just uploaded the new 3.08 software on my NX10 and I noticed there is no more "require stick low" Is it in adifferent location?
“Require Stick Low” menu item is missing in Spektrum NX6 Somehow in the Throttle Cut menu the option “Require Stick Low” is missing for all my models. I used to have it for one model but after disabling Throttle Cut for that model, I wasn’t able to reactivate it because the setting is not displaying. This problem was in version 3.06 and still in 3.07. I’ve reseted the transmitter, installed other models from templates and created new models, assigned other switches, changed the menu collor shema, rebooted multiple times (transmitter and recuivers); whatever I do the menu item "“Require Stick Low"-setting is not available/displaying. On which other settings and prirequsites is it depending? What is needed to reactivate this super usefull safety feature?
Hi ,I just have a question how you setup the throttle cut for a nitro engine. I have a NX10 spektrum transmitter. I would like to see a video on how to setup the throttle cut for a nitro engine if you can
So I have a question with throttle cut and can't figure out what is wrong. My throttle cut is set to -130, when I flip into the setup menu and the plane loses signal with the Transmitter, the throttle turns on. Everytime, no matter what I try. Same thing happens if I turn the radio off, obviously same results. I've calibrated the throttle by pushing the throttle stick into full + position and the turning on the radio. I go through the series of noise controls and then the plane reacts and let's me know it's ready to go. But still the problem persists. I'm lost and can't find any info on this issue on the web. Kudos to you and great video!!
My nx10 will not let me change the hold position on the H switch,ie normal mode is towards me and hold mode the switch is forward, this is confusing as every other tx I've owned is hold is towards me..this setting is on a blade 230s v2 template..I have tried so many times and it will not change.

Thanks for a very helpful video! As an R/C newbie this really helps me get my transmitter set up for safe flying. Thanks so much!
Great instructional video! Did Spektrum do away with "Require Stick Low" in the latest firmware release?
This was a tremendously helpful video! Thank you. I've just subscribed.
