    Really enjoy the video and information. Now I did have 1 question do you recommend multiple Eero Pro routers that are daisy chained floor to floor, or do you recommend the beacons on multiple floor and 1 router? I have 3 floor home so wifi is areas are impossible. Thanks security baron as always

    loved the review was just what i was looking for! But if i had one point it would be could you not confuse Mbps with MBps. You were speed testing in Bits not Bytes its common for people to mix up due to broadband marketing and needs to stop really. Great review tho!

    eero does not mention app security fee monthly fee $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year for basic and (eero secure+) advance $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. I personally think that Amazon prime customers should get the basic security package for free. Does any know of a good wifi app manager??

      eero was the fastest setup less than 10mins-just set up all the eeros in same room label each one for the rooms that they are going to be moved to after connecting to the network--Move to the new location within your home Just download the app first and don't forget to unplug your modem ---it been almost 30 days with no problems with increased download and upload speeds-cant go wrong with eero****Discount code***SWERVE-CX15

    • @chuckcarr9323
      @chuckcarr9323 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      After purchasing eero it turns out that you don't need to purchase the security app for $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year for basic and (eero secure+) advance $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year unless you want or need the additional security features.

    • @brbsteak
      @brbsteak 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      your dl/ul speed depends on your isp (charter, att, Verizon, etc..)
      it will only improve your speeds if your current router isn't already able to match your isp rates
      but otherwise yeah you've got it all correct

Will this product work given that the eerk needs to be connected with an Ethernet cable to my router from my garage? Would I need 2 beacons? One for downstairs and 1 upstairs?

    • @MsBillyRain
      @MsBillyRain 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Kelly StormGarden you have to pay an internet service provider once a month. This review is for equipment that helps you get the best use of your internet. Like in my house we have too many devices so most of the time internet doesn’t work. If I buy one of these thingys then all of my devices / TVs/ etc... will work with no problems... so I understand.

    Hello there! Enjoyed your video! Just wondering I see that they have a Eero 3-Pack. Is there a difference to the 1 Eero Pro and the two beacons? Wondering because I think I need the upgrade in my house. Drop me a line.

    • @SecurityDotOrg
      @SecurityDotOrg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, each Beacon adds 1,500 square feet of coverage. More info on the eero Pro here: bit.ly/2Cr7XIe

    • @AznUzer
      @AznUzer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pro's are tri-band, whereas Beacons are dual-band. They're phased out now due to Eero 6 extenders but neither have ethernet ports. Pro's have 2. Beacons are like a nightlight and have one built-in so they are stuck to the outlet. Pro's have slightly stronger radios.

    Can I just buy a modem, buy a router, then buy the eero and be able to have WiFi and internet at my home? I don’t want to have to sign up and start a contract with a service provider but it’s looking like in order to get WiFi and internet that’s what I’ll have to do

    • @SecurityDotOrg
      @SecurityDotOrg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the eero Pro is a router, not an Internet Service Provider, so no contracts needed to use but you might need to sign a contract to get Internet in the first place. More info on the eero Pro here: bit.ly/2Cr7XIe

    at first I was kinda disappointed about lacking of ethernet ports...but we still could hook it up to another 8 port ethernet switch, problem solved right right? (No need crossover cable since most of the switch nowadays autosensing ethernet twisted/straight/crossover should be all working!
    LoL I am still determining what upgrade should be for my home as I am stable with Asus RT-AC68U and recently upgraded to RT-AC86U to form an AiMesh network but encountered with some defective problem of the new unit (unit restarted too often when WAN is disconnected or even modifying the wireless roaming assistance) soooooo trying to see if it is justifiable to spend $299.00 for a the moving fast technology!! (I havevn't upgraded since 2017 while using Asus RT-AC68U at all...and expected the new upgrade should let me stay no upgrade after at least 3 years :)
    Good bless!

    I am also in the tech industry and looking to get a new WiFi system. Looking at a mesh setup for the ease of use with a 4000 sq ft home, but I do need some advanced options like static IP's and port forwarding, as I have older IP cameras and I have some servers that I still run as well. I currently have an older Nighthawk router, but it is having some issues. I tried Google's Nest mesh system a few weeks and ago and ran into all kinds of bugs with static IP's and port forwarding. Also very limited on specifying different Dynamic DNS hosts. What is your opinion on the best mesh network that can manage these more advanced functions, can the Eero deliver or is it it too basic?

    I have three kids that have iPads, phones, PS4, alexas, ring cameras etc. long story short, lots of devices. House is a two story with a basement. I’m trying to decide between the Eero Pro (3 Eeros) for $499 or the Linksys Velop triband with 3 units for $399. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Range is a factor as well so we can use the TH-cam TV on the tv outside on the patio.

      @AznUzer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have experience with Netgear Orbi, Linksys Velop, and Eero Pro. I know this is an old comment but the Eero Pro is *massively* better than those other two and I'd argue that it's the best mesh system for consumers on the market.
