I remember getting the SAVAGE album.. I then got the Repression album. Next thing I know NICKO is drumming for Iron Maiden !!! Thanks for sharing this legendary performance ! It's EPIC !
I've watched this before and it's timeless and I'll never get sick of seeing them live. They never came to America as far as I know. But I had all their albums. Nicko stepped up to Iron Maiden and is still going.
No doubt the very best french rock band. They are much more influential than it may seem. Bernie's singing style and lyrics were ground breaking. Awesome guitars . Nicko rules
Perso ça m'fait drole car je me souviens les avoir vus en concert dans un cinéma d'une bourgade dans le Pas de Calais en 1978 ils promouvaient leur 1er album, comparés aux merdes qu'on avait en France Trust rameutait les foules. Les solos de gratte de Nono c'était nouveau pour le "rock français". Les voir à "rockpalast" démontre si besoin était qu'ils étaient bons.(Bon...c'est vrai que chanté en Anglais...bof)

Là Trust a mélangé les morceaux en français et en anglais, c'est bon pour le concert télévisé en Allemagne et c'est bon pour les spectateurs allemands qui comprennent plus l'anglais que le français... et pour la promo à l'internationale. Perso, jamais je ne leur jetterais la pierre pour si peu. Tant que les groupes de Kpop ne se mettent pas au français, ça me convient.

45 years ago I first heard this band and still I love their music. Berni sounds like he just wants to kill in every song although it sounds much better in the original francaise. Vive la Trust. Vive la France 🇫🇷
Love it. Brings back my youth 😀. Saw it when it was initially broadcasted in German TV. Bernie lays his soul in every song. He's not the best singer ever, but who cares. He was great and according to later videos I recently saw here, he still is. Look at 54:49, dedicated to Bon Scott, who was a good friend of Bernie. Awesome.
You can really hear nickos style through out the whole performance, it's nice to hear how he utilises his style into maiden, brilliant heavy metal drummer, I like the fact that he always stayed with the single bass drum.
@@aboutthemetal8783 I can't say that I like the fact that he is using one bass drum, for the simple reason that I personally think some of the songs would sound better with double bass (more thick, more aggressive, and exciting if you will), but people respect him for that, because they find it "cool" and "stylish"... while he is just stubborn IMO lol

Malheureusement ils se sont séparés pour une raison ou pour une autre ... Je n'ai jamais appris le motif de leur séparation . Aujourd'hui , ça fait plaisir de continuer à voir Bernie Bonvoisin chanter , même si l'énergie du début n'est plus tout à fait là . On vieillit tous , c'est normal après tout !!! On peut pas être et avoir été . Moi même j'ai vieillit !!! Je crois que j'ai tous les albums de Trust . Mais j'écoute moins les derniers albums . Ce ne sont plus les mêmes personnes qui jouent et je dois reconnaître que je ne retrouve plus le style ni le son abrasif de leurs débuts ... 😢. They supported Maiden in this period and the boys started thinking about replacing Clive Burr who was drinking a lot after he lost his father. In hindsight it was harsh not to let him work through things but at the same time Nicko was the perfect replacement. Also TH-cam Nicko McBrain with Pat Travers who he was with in the late seventies. It's strange to see him with such a small kit!

The last time bon Scott was in a studio ..it was to see his friends from trust ( they were recording an album ) ..he decided to do a song with them ( Ride on ) ...it was 6 days before bon Scott death ..The song " your final gig " is about Bon Scott .. excellent solo .. great tribute to bon Scott ( but sounds better in french ) .@50:00
Savage was written in 1981, and Stranger in a strange land in 1986.Morever just compare the guitar style of Iron Maiden before and after the Number of the beast. Trust opened for Maiden in their England tour just before the album was recording.Steve Harris was then a big fan of Trust, and obviously the guitarists took few licks to Nono the lead guitar of Trust. Blended with their high speed Whisbone Hash duet harmony it remains unoticed to most listeners . Sad that Trust never had the guts to become international and cross the Atlantic to support Judas Priest in US, and just stayed a french band.

On his 30th birthday, and last night was his 70th. Still playing, and he can play any music style possible.
I remember seeing them supporting Iron Maiden back in the early 80's at Guildford Civic hall. Nicko definitely made the right move.

Yeah he did it as a one off because he struggles so much with double bass playing , that's why the song is never played live .
