I had my mechanic replace that solenoid (plus A and B) because I had the codes. The engine light didn't go away, and even got the TCS light (come and go), the 2nd gear has a noticeable "jump". But, I'm pretty sure those lil cylinders you pulled out, were not cleaned. I'm having him get them out, and cleaned, then I could either put the new/old solenoids back, since (the old ones) work good; probably just needed the cleaning (of those cylinders). Thanks for the vid!
@@mtsanchez27 the issue was fixed, by clearing the parts, and getting new rings. The new cylindes I had bought were not good (didn't solve the problem and added yet more codes), prob because I got them thru ebay. I've found out lots of ebay parts (for vehicles) are just not worth buying (bad quality).
Thank you very much for this detailed instruction video. You stressed the importance of replacing the o ring and the gasket. Where or which end does the o ring go?
I just refill my odyssey with 3 1/2qts and have no codes. I plan on replacing the filter and clean out as many solenoids as I can get to and new fluid again. When I shift into drive there's a 1 second delay but reverse is fine. Any comments. Great video 👍
Can u comment the colors of those wires? I replaced the connectors but I was unsure of their position, it seems that one connector I did with inverted pains, but i don't wanna burn this solenoids, might think that order doesn't matter, but the signals say otherwise
Great info 👍....... So where did u get the replacement ... theres so many videos on this topic but never post the part number and or where u purchased the part . Theres so many parts on Amazon and ebay that never does the job . O'Reilly and autozone some times have the part . Usually gotta buy it from honda .
Do you know what the bolt at the side of the solenoid switch is for? I am having the problem and I purchased a replacement one on Ebay new. But it exaggerated the shift problem. I saw on Google where the pressure can be adjusted but I am not sure how. I am thinking that the bolt may be for a purpose but what?
Sorry about that. It had a check engine light for p0740 and no drive ability issues ran perfectly fine. Customer complaint was only the check engine light
the way he tapping the solenoid on the batt you know he pulls X'D

You have a video showing the other solenoids as well?

What’s the name of the solenoid?
On the solenoid block there's a 10 mm plug on the side does anybody know what thats for?
We have no idea why you went in there for that. You never said what was wrong with the car, what it does not do?

Is there anything specific you have to do after putting the new one in? Or is it just put back together and go?
