I used the 3 cal liquid lime 2 weeks ago when I planted Green Forage blend to give it a little germination boost. Right after planting I had good rain and within 4 days I had great germination, a few days after that the deer were hitting it hard. I've never seen any planting attract deer as fast! Thanks for the info and great seed John!
Holy shit!!! John this was the video I needed to add that level of confidence to my application program! I just ran around with the FT3 at 45 psi never giving a hoot about recommended application psi!🤦♂🤦♂ Now I will get the FT5 and FT 7.5, run at 10-15 psi at 5 mph. I suck at reading directions even thought I know how to read, lmfao! Thanks for finally drilling into my head that application rates and products really do make a difference! I will be getting Northwoods forage oats and probably planting in Crivitz the week after labor day, hopefully that's not to late! You bet starter and liquid lime will be going on top of it as well! Well done and cant wait to see the video on the added 1 acre food plot!
@@northwoodswhitetailsfoodpl2663 I have the exact same pump set up, the same boom from my old trailer fimco sprayer, tipped the trailer over and destroyed the tank, pretty much mounted the same way on my Polaris sportsman. I just ordered the FT7.5, I'll definitely read the application speeds and pressure and dial it in for my set up. you're data gives me a sound starting point!
Great video! I sprayed your liquid lime in July, results were great, planted sweet feast brassica on 7/27, had germination on 7/30! I have blue spray nozzles, they worked great, no problems! Thanks again!
John, Sweet Feast, Seclusion 360 and everything you sent is popping up nice 🎉. It is also hard to beat an old solid axle Honda for working and food plotting. I like to use my old solid axle Honda with a Ground Hog Max and a Boominator type Nozzle as sprays the 3 cal with zero chance of ever getting clogged as is nozzle- less (no nozzle at all) 13 foot swath even on windy days. Appreciate you and your ongoing support beyond words to make my Bishop Archery test lab bowhunting parcels the best they can be over the years. No need to buy seed from TH-cam celebrities coming out with their own seed companies when you can go straight to Northwoods and get the real deal knowledge and seed from John.
Great Video John, you leave the strainer or screen between the tank and the pump in and pull each nozzle strainer is that correct. Also I use a boom sprayer what nozzle would you suggest?
So just now seeing the vidoes on 3 Cal and all these products, which look great. I really want to plant this coming weekend (Labor Day). I'm guessing shipping might not get the products to me ahead of weekend planting. Would it be ok to plant one weekend then go back the next weekend and spray? From what I've watched, it seems like it would be ok, just wanted to make sure.
Grass a problem in seclusion blend. I have sprayed imox and clethidoum several times this spring and summer. It's 85% picture perfect seclusion. Any recommendations? Not sure the type of grass its in a lower ground area.
@northwoodswhitetailsfoodpl2663 I believe that it is Reed canary grass. Not sure how hard it is to kill but maybe I have a ton of seed in the seed bank.
I started food plotting without knowing a lot about soil and I used tons of pelletized dolmitic lime to get my PH up and it did but now my magnesium numbers are off the charts on my soil tests and I’ve read different things saying sometimes gypsum and calcium in general can help with hi magnesium and I would be curious if Brad thought there liquid calcium product could help with that?
@jaredb9909 Gypsum and Sulphur. My uncle had high mag and the soil test called for 500lbs for a acre of gypsum and 20 lbs additional Sulphur. Your ground get super hard in summer time??? The owner of Chippewa farms in spruce mi told him heavy wheat and rye. Hope this helps.

That’s just the rate for my nozzles. May be different than what you have

Cannot wait to try this next year. Already have my fall plot in and don’t want to run over the seedlings.
It’s been good for us so far
Hey John cool vid I go through the same steps when spraying and cleaning out the rid thanks

We are the real deal
😉
Thanks for the kind words
Thanks John

Yes still have a screen before the pump
Biggest nozzle you can get

Do you recommend that customers also apply bulk granular lime along with this product, wherever possible, or is it better to use this on its own?
Maybe lime if ph is really low
But eventually we are getting away from bulk fertilizer ina. Few years
@@northwoodswhitetailsfoodpl2663 - Are you going to be relying on natural fertilizers and nutrient cycling, instead of synthetic inputs?
@@jasonbroom7147very few synthetic inputs from now on.

Just cleth and crop oil
Might be sedge, looks like grass but isn't. Clethodim doesn't touch it

Thx much appreciated I also listen to the podcast so if you discuss it on there I would hear it as well
Let’s see the tomato plants side by side.
