Bro, can you tell me if it's viable to use such tools for game development? They seem kinda heavy. I fear trying to use this and end up being unable to optimize the game due to the level of detail. Please correct me if my assumption is wrong
It's great if you don't have an art direction or a vision. But if you have it becomes more difficult to adapt suchs generators to the real requirements
If you look at them as black boxes, then yes. But modifying tools to suit your needs or creating your own is an essential skill if you want to work efficiently.
agree, that's why I started learning geometry nodes so I can make my own generators depending on my personal needs, add-ons are a waste of money and time more often than not
Buying various add-ons costs money and it takes time to learn each add-on. I would like to see excellent add-ons absorbed as a standard feature of Blender.
Standard features are way harder to implement than add-ons, they have to be supported on a lot of hardware and bug free, add-ons are not held to the same standards
Adding a lot of feature in Blender, will make the software-application as large as *Max / Maya* (over 2 GB or more) which will require more computer power, while with add-ons you can choose what you really need for a project separately and still have the computer running smoothly when rendering animation, but as well you can disable it anytime you want.
@@TopChannel1on1it's well-made up till that point anyway mate, and tbh - now I want to own every one of these generators, so I think you got the point across well :P
it just shows for who these tools are, for lazy hacks that can't do anything themselves. I can't understand using the Geometry nodes to do some of this, but most of this looks like bloat.
Having the volume burst way up then down is extremely annoying. Other than that, it was really cool seeing all the generators that were presented. (audio engineering tip: Keep the music volume low just like at the beginning through the entire video. Your voice is the main focus, not the music)
eey thanks for the tips, if you have anymore will really appreciate it, most of the time am just experimenting to see what will work best, so if i get tips from someone who knows how to do it, am greatly thankful
As far as I know you dont need special generator I think you use a Cube or some other shape remove the faces and use it as a shape to contain the fog and than create the fog with Volume scatter in geometry nodes. For more info search: blender volumetric fog.
I would recommend messing around with blender, There's really only a few small things maya still does better and a few of my professional artist friends have made the switch. I find some of autodesk's decisions concerning as of recently, so having one foot in the door could be beneficial to you wallet (or save the hassle of "alternative means"). Geometry nodes alone are extremely powerful.
@@williamsmith6921 after 1 year on blender I moved to maya. There are many, many things blender still cant do and performance is not as good as maya. For geometry nodes try cheking houdini. It makes blender look like a toy.
This is quite a weird take, both title and the content of this video. It really very much always depends - on the project, vision, people and tools /workflows involved etc. . Generators have many cons not adressed in this video.
I retargeted Mixamo animation onto the HG character but the HG/external clothing keeps clipping throughout regardless if I use the masking modifier to hide certain parts of the body mesh or not. Why is that happening and how do I fix the issue? Could it be the weight paint?
@@TopChannel1on1 oh cmon lmao I mean not to diss blender because obviously it is a wonderful and powerful tool but blender isn't industry standard, all I'm saying is plsss lmao dont forget 3ds max hahahaha
"better than modeling" And who does the modeling of those building that appear in one click hm ?? And how do you adapt those designs nobody can blende in their project's style ? Modelers do that.
It was 2024 when Blender finally got the idea Houdini provided for artists in 1996 and Maya in 1998 :)))) Welcome to the VFX reality, noobs. That's exactly why Blender is useless toy. thats a strong statement, sure blender does not compete with houdini but to say its completely useless is being abit dramatic, if you only look at it as a vfx tool then its not enough but its great at sculpting, animation, modeling, 2d and more
Video conclusion generator would be a great idea.
Heheheh
Also fade in and out music generator (actually that exists, it's called a sidechain compressor, please find out how to use one).
Great idea presenting all those generators man, as 3D artists we know that things that can speed up our workflow is priceless.

The video just cuts off suddenly in mid-sentence while you're talking about flame generators.
yeah i noticed it too, my bad and unfortunately cant reupload now

Maybe it was made with a generator.

awesome thanks
droplet gen is something i needed
I'd love to learn which tool/generator is needed to create the collapsed building in the thumbnail.
It’s an AI thumbnail like most of the others on the channel
even before you can delete the default cube :D
EXCELLENT VIDEO TYSM
Nebula generator was the first addon I ever bought and started me on looking at a PCs for Blender. Edit. Also this the video is cut off at en

So, let the generator do the "heavy lifting", and you do the "tweaking" to finish it.... I see an effects artist union on the horizon...
looks like the electricity died at the end there xD , but really thanks for the video great info !
Awesome list, thank you. Where is the thumbnail of your video from. Is there a generator used for that kind of models?
Castle generator, so that's how they make those mobile game ads who never look anything like the game.
Yay now we can all be the same :) remember guys efficiency is key
This stuff is always interesting to me cuz Houdini has been able to do all these things for 20+ years.
Amazing
Thanks
Great man continue giving us content like this.thanks😊👌
Thanks
Where’s the rest of the video??
Where is the destruction generator from the thumbnail?!?!?
It's not a single generator that would be a whole project
Where is a generator from preview - destroying buildings?
amazing video i love this kind of videos
thanks
Hello, can you include the name of the Addon generators used in your thumbnail, which is a collapsed concrete structure
Good i'm going to check all the links. By the way do you know a good generator for fog? Except alt tab studio'?
I will have to do some searching and see if I can find one

What generator have you used for the destroyed apartment block thumbnail?
it's stable diffusion, you can tell because he is in viewport shading but it's well lit
im new to 3d and want to know about the building generators, cnt you just download building models?
You can but generators can make different variations

What is the clip used at the 0:45 second mark from?
Are there generators for Autodesk Maya ?

the very essence of procedural open worlds, ...of the most boring AAA games out there
