  • Children's iPad addiction is a growing concern as they often become engrossed in games and unresponsive when asked to put their devices away. This addiction, experienced firsthand by a 12-year-old student named Philo, serves as a coping mechanism for stress, similar to how adults turn to social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and TH-cam. Academic pressure and bullying contribute to this reliance on devices, as seeking help doesn't always provide a resolution. While some children find healthy outlets, others resort to device addiction. Parents can mitigate this issue by promoting breaks during studying, teaching coping strategies for bullying, and engaging in activities that foster curiosity and enjoyment, redirecting their children from iPad addiction.
