SC has really been leaning heavily on the combat stuff (presumably because SQ42), so it’s nice to see another industrial gameplay loop finally make it into the game.
I suspect that's indeed the case, but also because non-combat gameplay loops might require a lot more investment in the engineering of the underlying systems than simple pew pew ship go boom. Ship go boom is fun though, and pretty.
@@Morphologis I’m not a pacifistic player per se, but I’ve never really wanted Mercenary or Bounty Hunter to be my character’s main career path, and I think the combat stuff gets old fast. Especially when the mission is just “go to this location, kill X Ninetails” rather than something much more involved like the Siege of Orison or stealing the Hadesian Artifact from some Pyro gang. One thing SC has really done well is to make non-combat gameplay loops a lot more engaging than in other MMOs. Looking at how far Mining has come since it’s introduction in terms of the complexity & mechanics involved, I can’t wait to see what else the teams come up with for Salvage in the future.
I am not a PVP-guy so this ship seems really nice for just going into space and salvage stuff while listening to some music and watching the stars. So calming.
The vulture seems like such a nice chill ship, it's a fairly laid back loop that also avoids things like timers that make mining stressful rather than relaxing
I love that the more relaxed side of SC gameplay is getting more attention; just coming home after work and hopping in a vulture to humbly travel around the verse whilst listening to music and scrapping things as I go just seems like my cuppa tea. Love your work man, keep it up!
This is literally what I've been doing for an hour or so after work as a way to unwind and discover older music. It's especially satisfying to bring food and drink and log in and out using your bed to prolong your time out in the wild over more than one evening.
Salvage and being a deep space trucker is something few games let you enjoy and the potential for this type of gameplay in SC is exciting. This ship seems to offer a nice capability without needing a large crew, like of the other bespoke mining and salvage ships.
I love the idea of salvaging/ mining in far away space, away from pirates and npcs (I know very little about Star Citizen tbh), but this ship reminds me of the salvaging/ mining I used to do in Eve Online, and to be honest, I like how simple it is to go from the loading bay to the cockpit (versus other ships I've seen in SC, where ppl tend to get lost and wonder where they're going!?). Thanks for calling me awesome :)
I just love industrial gameplay loops - beeing a big mining fan so far but Salvage also seems extremely relaxing and fun - especially when they implement the deeper tiers where you have to lasercut the ships into pieces and strip their components. Can't wait :D

I have also watched your videos since I started playing, so your channel has been part of this journey as well!(although I started following recently) I don’t have many ships and the ones I had, were upgraded over-time, so I have to choose wisely (and mostly multi-ships which let me do a bit of everything) I have played for very long periods of time but there have also been stages where I didn’t play for months. This ship looks incredible. Love the versatility of the game and the fact that it allows us to change our experience completely by having this type of things. I would love to try salvaging and also having a dedicated ship like this with an intended purpose! Thanks for the content!
Im really astonished how much they pack into the newer ships. One hundred percent seems like a wonderful vessel to do some solo grinding. Not to mention the fidelity of the cockpit being so wide, almost feels like a excavator lol
I fell in love with salvaging during the PTU and it’s really hard to move away from it. Your immersive take on Star Citizen and this gameplay loop is exactly what I love about the game! I personally hate having to do dogfighting and this new gameplay loop looks super calm but also amazing to do! With some wreckage sites having enemies they really managed to get this new salvaging content to be fun and enjoyable but also challenging at times for every sort of player. I personally love the "immersive roleplaying" possibilities the new Vulture brings. As you can see I was having a blast watching your video keep it up Morphologis!
Hey, if you want to... no pressure... I just started an organization that's focused on these game mechanics. We'd love the help, no pressure to do anything with the group but hoping to have it around if you need a crew or just have questions.
I like the industrial design of the vulture and the ladder access to the cockpit! I would definitely enjoy simple sessions of salvaging in the depths of space with music or a podcast to unwind and relax :)
Dude, I really loved this video. I've never played Star Citizen, and am going to be building my first gaming PC next year - this is one game I cannot wait to play. Looking forward to more of your content for sure.
honestly the vulture is so cool to me, it feels like it could be my own mini Nostromo from alien as it too was a salvage/refining vessel in lore. I feel like drakes design philosophy really lends it self to that style of ship, barebones, functional, a little dystopian, an awesome atmosphere! If i’m being honest the thing i’d do the most is look over my shoulder to check there isn’t a Xenomorph behind me…
The vulture is a really cool ship. I’m more of a cargo hauler, but the salvage gameplay is really interesting and relaxing. It really gives me the “captain of a ship” feel.
Thanks for taking me along for the adventure, Morph. I have not had a chance to get into the PTU or PU yet. Your video is really getting me excited, as all the industrial activities are my main focus. o7!
I love the general aesthetic of the Vulture. I started playing in December with a Drake Cutter so i already fell in love with the rough, Substance over Style feel that Drake ships have. Reminds me a LOT of the Mandalorians Razor Crest. When i started playing and i saw some people talk about the Salvage gameplay i immediately wanted to try it. I'd probably use it to just cruise through the System, salvage wrecks along the way and just take in the sights. I love this ship.

There is something so attractive about that little crab armed vulture, the cab is like something off a coal mining truck. Other than cooking in butter I'd love to offer recovery services - lost your ship in a debris field on mission? I'll find it and recover lost cargo for the scrap value and a fee or portion of the inventory. I've lost Tauruses with three large cargo pods worth of inventory - the time taken to track them down I'd rather be doing more profitable things, would happily pay a portion for someone else to recover it. Plus it's a big yellow beautiful thing waiting to join my hangar pals
Honestly, I kind of want to see an architect reviews on the Vulture, it is currently the smallest ship with two decks, and is one of my favorite ships because of that.
I've been a cargo hauler as much as I can with my tiny avenger. I'd use it to scrap the ships and help clean up the star citizen universe. This game has given me a lot of book ideas and this ship has been added to the list of books that I might write some day 😂 Thank you for the amazing content as always

Really hoping to see more gameplay focused on repairs and salvaging specific things from shipwrecks. Would be really neat to salvage components and use them on my own ships too!
From someone who does not enjoy mining I went into salvage thinking I would not enjoy it. However I managed to eventually hop into a vulture and well it was just an enjoyable calm and chill thing to do to make money. Mining there are so many things to know and small details to boost your performance. Me personally I don't have time for that and the simplicity that salvage has is perfect for me. I know there will be a bit more depth coming to salvage with munching and taking out components but still with those added I think it will just be a chill time. Good to know that CIG are looking at making game loops for everyone.
I definitely agree, there is a different sort of feel with the Salvage mechanic. It's still very lazer-y, but with the munching and component recovery parts of salvage I hope to see a more varied and interesting experience. Exploring wrecks for valuables is more exciting to me than mining rocks.
I love this type of video, you should do more like: "Day in the life as a Miner/Cargo Hauler" As for the Vulture id love to just put some chill music on and just go about my day as a salvager. Maybe even throw on a podcast with a filter to pretend its some sort of a space radio in the ship.
Having been watching your videos for the last couple of weeks, I'm excited to finally get Star Citizen soon. I'd love a Vulture as the salvaging loop looks so relaxing, just a great way to unwind.
Awesome video man as always! I Salvage alone and it's soo cool. I just put country music on the background and I'm gone for hours. It's so chill and I love passing after battles and just salvage the wrecks. Feels like something out of a movie. I wanna have it so I can give it away to my friend and we can salvage together.
Thanks for what you do @Morphologist! I too appreciate the simple pleasures of SC. I particularly appreciate your delivery method, both instructive and entertaining.
Wow I’m amazing. Thanks :-) I just really like listening to these vids in the background as I’m doing stuff. Salvaging is one of my fave gameplay elements that I’ve been waiting for. For some time. I’ll be using that vulture by getting a team of people flying ERT missions and then just cleaning up after them.
Scan mode is your friend when salvaging. Take note of the RS Signature, rocks will be in multiples of 1700 RS signature, Salvage will be in multiples of 2000, makes it easy to scan all the boxes pinged and see what is a rock and what is salvage. I fill my Vulture with 23 to 25 boxes, make sure you have the ones on grid "locked" with the purple outline or they will not sell, and it may bug out and won't lock afterwards. I have not had any problem with the ones off grid, just stack them neatly and they are fine. Really enjoying Salvaging as another alternative game loop, as I like to do a variety of things in SC. Thanks for the content, and keep up the good work!
The salvage gameplay is really relaxing and you can even do something together with the Vulture. Her ramp and cargo invite more shenanigans than just salvage.
I definitely want to get a vulture after seeing this, there's always been something so appealing about scavengers in sci-fi. Collecting salvage out in deep space, just sounds like such a vibe
Never had the chance to get into Star Citizen yet, but the salvage mechanic looks like a great way to try it out! The Vulture is a beautiful ship, that cockpit door looks EXACTLY like an excavator.
I'd love to at least experience the salvage gameplay loop! I have a few friends that have already got into it, and love it. I would love to be able to tag along and have a salvaging crew. Keep up the awesome content, always happy to see a new video.
The salvage gameplay has been one of the most enjoying time I've had with friends on SC, and that vulture is so nice! I've been in a few reclaimer crews sailing through asteroids to find salvage and it's just so relaxing. What could be cool is a pirate organisation doing deals with salvagers picking up after them for a share of their haul value
I love the industrial and logistic side of Star Citizen, so nice to see the direction they're going! And thank you so much for this awesome and relaxing video about salvaging. As always, it was a pleasure watching it! Would love to get my hands on a Vulture and get it out there myself to clean up the dead shipyards that are left behind :D
Great video! This is the first I've seen of the salvaging. I would love to practice with some strip salvaging with a Vulture when my crew aren't around to hop in a Reclaimer! I love the industrial yellow paint. These industrial ships are so cool...
I had a blast with my friend this weekend, I went to a remote place to salvage and he was doing the logistics with his Freelancer Max. It was the first time I really felt how promising it is to do a coperative work. He thought on creating a logistic company in Star Citizen, that would provide a service of hauling goods. The Vulture gameplay is very relaxing (when it works haha) can't wait to have more friends doing salvage and hauling salvage goods to sell!
First time visiting, but already like pretty much everything. Good video, nice narrative, calm voice and a great inspiration ;) So yeah, thanks. And high five for that kid's dream, couldn't agree more. Like @VodDwellerr mentioned there, "more relaxed side of SC gameplay is getting more attention" and that's good. I think a whole bunch of working people would need exactly that kind of "time killer". But for me personally, SC is a lot more than that... it feels great to be a part of it. Love the possibilities and the scenery. Won't even get any hopes for Vulture , but it sure looks good and feels like a good compromise between some other roles in SC... Good luck and wish you to recover fast and get back on your feet.
This is my sortta game play. I love mining and salvaging. It was my favorite thing to do when I played Eve. Speaking of which the Vulture looks a lot like the Venture mining ship from Eve. It does have more of that modern day heavy equipment feel to it though. Which is what I do IRL so it's nice to see something familiar in game as well. I haven't started playing Star Citizen yet but I may just have to start! Thanks for your videos and time you put into this.
I don’t know if you’ve already given the Vulture away, but this is exactly what I want in a space sim game. I love mining and salvaging. Getting a small fireteam together and clean up a bunch of ships sounds like a huge blast.
This is what is getting me back into Star Citizen! I'm looking forward to salvaging ships! I loved the mining and now I get to try another industry! I would definitely use the Drake Vulture to do hours and hours of salvaging! Love the videos! Keep it up!
Morphologis, I had to subscribe after you mentioned SWG, that was my favorite game growing up. Great videos and content! After watching this video I think I would just chill and salvage with some good music if I were to win!
I love SC!!! If I had that ship I would try out salvaging and playing with my other 2 friends that play so they can also try it out. I love to do stuff like that in SC!!
I've been waiting for this parte of the update. I'm a salvager in spirit in most of my games, so i'd love to take this Vulture for a spin. Great content!! Greetings from Argentina.
Recently I have started to get back into star citizen. The whole vulture gameplay loop seems very satisfying and the ship is one of the best looking in my opinion(drake fan). I also love that you can craft tools using the salvage because I am always dying and loosing my stuff. I would probally use the vulture to grind because the gameplay loop just seems so cool.
I love the idea of using it as an industrial starter ship. Korben Dalllas vibes - a regular person in over their head. With the bed, cargo (that can fit vehicles), guns, and of course the salvage gear, it can do a bit of everything.
I'd love to have a Vulture myself. From what little I've seen of the salvaging gameplay and have done personally it seems like it'll be my new favorite mode alongside Hauling. It's also fairly relaxing basically playing power wash simulator with the hull of a ship. Only instead of cleaning it you're stripping it for all of that delicious RMC. It'd also be nice having a Vulture since I often find all sorts of wrecks out by stations while I'm doing a little bit of hauling. Would be nice to be able to act as a space garbage truck and cleanup the leftover debris.
The salvage gameplay loop really does seem relaxing and something you could do to unwind whenever you're stressed, kinda like how a game of tetris is said to "reset" your brain. Definitely looking forward to using the Vulture as a coping mechanism.
I've been play star citizen for a few months and managed to test the vulture out in the ptu, and I just loved the whole aesthetic of a construction worker in a bright yellow vehicles just mining ships, I loved that I could imagine myself and a small group of friends just chilling on like a monday morning and drinking coffee while mining ships in some far off lagrange point. I would love to be able to get a vulture and chill with some friends.
I’ve been watching videos about this game for awhile now and just stumbled upon your video now. It looks like a really great game and I would love to start playing it soon.
Salvaging was a really fun mechanic in the game Atlas. Sink a ship, dive to the bottom of the dark sea to try and recover loot. Glad to see SC bring it back
(i know late comment) Just got pc to handle the game and love it. This fly week let me test the vulture and enjoyed it. Now I have goals for salvaging but gotta work up that ladder :3
Besides the really cool industrial design of the vulture, the salvage systems in this relatively small ship is really great. Its small enough to be a daily driver, can carry cargo and can salvage ships all in one package, so weather if you just come across a ship wreckage on a bunker mission or specifically go to certain locations to salvage, its an absolutely great and unique ship.
When I first started playing Star Citizen the most immersive thing for me was ROC mining in Daymar with my Cutlass Black. I tried mining with the prospector but didn't like the refining or the time limit aspect of the gameplay loop. With ROC mining I could log off in the middle of the planet and keep going the next day where I left off. Salvaging with a vulture would take both of those away and give me the same experience in space. I also love the ships design, it seems so immersive and packed with features.
One thing I really like about SC are the backstage jobs you can do == deliveries, salvaging, mining. Just chill gaming. And with the money, you can buy PVP/PVE based ships. It would be great though in the future you can tow this ship behind your other ship with a large cargo hold so you can spend more time salvaging stuff
I played a free flight in 2022 and very much enjoyed my time in the world (despite all of the bugs I ran into lol), with my favorite city being Orison as it felt like Cloud City. I'd love to be able to check out 3.18 with a Vulture, as I feel like it'd match the play style that I fell into when I played during the free flight, which primarily consisted of wandering in boundless space, checking out space wrecks, and imagining how they might've been destroyed (perhaps an alien isolation situation??). Anyway, I appreciate you offering a bundle like this and would to fly out there with you - cheers!

This ship seems great! Definitely would like to grt it for mining and salvaging ship wreaks, thanks for counting me in!
I love the concept of the Vulture, and I love that there are more industrial loops coming into this game. Deep space trucking!!
Wow, pretty amazed to start salvaging with my boys. Really looks like fun new gameplay loop. Thanks for the video!
I liked the relaxing part where you were almost killed, half your ship was destroyed and you needed to limp back to safety. Enjoy that R&R braj!
The salvage gameplay is really relaxing and you can even do something together with the Vulture. Her ramp and cargo invite more shenanigans than just salvage.
Love how chill the gameplay loop is. Look forward to it!
Great vid as always. Can't wait to dig into the whole salvage game loop.
I love these relaxing gameplay loops. This one looks like a lot of fun.
Bought the Vulture for salvage; got promoted to daily driver. Loving it! Great video btw.
I'd love to at least experience the salvage gameplay loop!
I have a few friends that have already got into it, and love it. I would love to be able to tag along and have a salvaging crew. Keep up the awesome content, always happy to see a new video.
Great video! I love the vulture, could see me living out of it with the small quarters and the ability to carry a few boxes for various game loops.
Great Video :) Very informative, cant wait to start playing :D
Great vid. You've come a long way since the 1st architect reviews vid. Keep up the great work
Great video! This is the first I've seen of the salvaging. I would love to practice with some strip salvaging with a Vulture when my crew aren't around to hop in a Reclaimer! I love the industrial yellow paint. These industrial ships are so cool...
It's always nice to have a ship you can solo with while your friends are busy.
Love the vultures design and one of the few ships that can give you a hug with its little arms
Nice and informative. This ship reminds me of some farm equipment and is exactly what I would use it for, farming for loot and money!
I loved the side entrance to the Vulture too during testing in the PTU and I agree, salvaging is so relaxing. Just chillin' in the verse
This looks so relaxing and can’t wait to try it. Great video chap.
Honestly, getting a couple of these and being part of the clean-up crew for a squad sounds like a pretty fun time!
The Vulture looks great, also salvage looks fun, for sure I want to try it. great video!
I just adore the agri-industrial look of the vulture. It looks, and feels like a friggin space-combine, and I’m all down for it!
Keep it up!
Great video! I especially enjoyed watching you chug an entire energy drink into your nose at the end. 😅
I would use the Vulture as a salvage ship as well as an exploration ship too. Love your videos!
Would be nice to be able to act as a space garbage truck and cleanup the leftover debris.
haha, that drink in the end was really funny! :D
The salvage gameplay loop really does seem relaxing and something you could do to unwind whenever you're stressed, kinda like how a game of tetris is said to "reset" your brain. Definitely looking forward to using the Vulture as a coping mechanism.
Love the salvage gameplay, great video!
Morphologis: "Really fun and relaxing"
Character on screen: - Must drink through nose -
I've been play star citizen for a few months and managed to test the vulture out in the ptu, and I just loved the whole aesthetic of a construction worker in a bright yellow vehicles just mining ships, I loved that I could imagine myself and a small group of friends just chilling on like a monday morning and drinking coffee while mining ships in some far off lagrange point.
This should open an interesting gameplay loop, and looks relaxing too !
21:15 Is he snorting that energy drink through his nose? lol
Spore music!!! My heart melted. 06:46
I'd love to play this game, looks so chill but makes loads of exciting stories! Relaxing video 10/10!
Hell yea, enjoyed the vid! I would love to get into Star Citizen and salvage!
