Yeah, except when TotK showed absolutely no respect and literally retconned pretty much everything including its direct counterpart Breath of the Wild. BotW was cool as in it just didn’t want to fanservice the lore too hard, and I’m okay with that - I was massively disappointed, but that’s a creative decision. TotK on the other hand completely butchers the lore of the entire series, no arguments. Great game though.
It's because the Zelda development team changes over time and these days, the team is compromised of people who grew up playing Zelda games. The final game is always imprinted by each and every one of the devs, and I think they all want to pay a little respect to the games they grew up with.

Technically, that was most likely a reference to the Zonai Sky Islands from Tears of the Kingdom, as the girl (i recall it's a girl) says she dreamed about many islands floating in the sky (Skyloft is just the one island). Considering what we see in the direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, it makes sense that she was foreshadowing the Zonai Sky Islands all along.

I don’t know if you know this but if you go around there is actually a type of back door that lets you get up to the balcony of the sanctum without activating the Gabon fight so you can actually explore up there. I think you can also go through the windows because I think one or two of them has a crack in it

I’m glad how many references botw & totk references old games and I’m also glad how they’re creating potential for future games to build on the lore in those games. I think it’s fine that Nintendo doesn’t only make games that are sequels or prequels to ocarina of time(even though they are great)

Also found the goddess symbols in the broken ruins on front of the Temple of Time. If loz has taught me anything, it's that I really gotta look up and down more.
If you climb up from the outside of Hyrule castle and go down the stairs, you can get a good look at the throne and Triforce. Just dont get too close to the cent of the room or it will trigger the boss as usual.
I really hate that because of TotK, people are convinced it and BotW aren't even part of the timeline. I still prefer to think that it's just in a very vague part of it which I'm 100% okay with. Cause i agree that it's more fun to think of how it *could* fit in rather than having proper placement.

Yes the tears of the kingdom is a direct sequel to breath of the wild showing lore that is different to all 3 timelines including before the split. Bushman’s theory goes as this the split timelines merged causing a butterfly effect where the past changed as well as the present even before the timeline split creating the timeline for breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom.
It is the end of every iteration of the timeline as Hyrule constantly cycles through all of them, as the kingdom grows and shrinks, is destroyed and rebuilt, countless times through the ages. LoZ is a never ending cyclical loop with multiple iterations.

Which also causes the most problems because of ganondilf shouldn't have been able to be born because ganon never died a final death in the child timeline as he's trapt in the foursword the only magical wepon we dont see in totk/botw.
She also acknowledges The Wind Waker during the blessing ceremony, but because of Ravioli and the other Champions's commentary on the side, Zelda's mention of The Wind Waker got muddied by the audio at the forefront.
