Because Zelda right now is the antithesis to Twilight princess, as someone who thinks TP is overrated i cant deny that it had the best selection of dungeons of the franchise and that Botw and Totks dungeons are considerably badly designed.

Honestly, I don’t mind. Most of the time I’m just smashing the A button to get into the game so I ended up skipping the opening. Sidenote: why do I want to punch the old man in the face everytime he says anything?

The glitches are all fun to use, the ost is phenomenal, the ambience is amazing, and I personally like the story

TP and OoT are two of my favs...BotW was good, but that game gave me depression with all the memories of passed friends, and our Princess Zelda seemed sad

The attachment rate is an interesting statistic, but I don't think it accurately represents how many copies of a game were actually sold. A 2% attachment rate on a system that sold a 100 million units means the same number of copies sold as a 20% attachment rate to a 10-million system. This data doesn't seem to track rereleases on virtual console either, as Nintendo is known to do.

Opening themes should be brought back

Not surprised on Spirit Tracks. I got it used and played it like a month before I got my 3DS in 2012. People were mean about the train, people were also tired of the DS by the time it arrived, and while everyone has nostalgia for the DS now, people forget how the interest dramatically waned for it by 2010. Spirit Tracks was overshadowed by the DS having 1000 shovelware games per 1 good game. Also on a side note, the older games could have less attachment rate because they were the days of blockbuster rental. More people played the game (to some extent) than who bought it.

Honestly it’s probably totk but only because I’ve barely played any other Zelda games and OoT and MM were both so long ago.

Skyward Sword is my favorite LoZ personally, mostly because i grew up with it and it was the last memory i had of my oldest brother for a long time

wait, but i did beat the og zelda without a guide, finding the secrets was the funnest part, infuriating at times, but yes i did beat it without a guide when i was like 5-6, im just good at problem solving

Everything you said abt botw was true for me. It is my first Zelda game.

I’ve just completed breath of the wild along with the DLC and most of tears of the kingdom in the last 2 1/2 months and have recently just started skyward sword in the last couple days. I will say that people are complaining about nothing. While the game does have its quirks and the motion controls can be a little annoying at times, the game is beautiful and very fun. If you’re looking for an open world experience, then it’s definitely not the game for you, but if you want to play something that Harkins back to many of the pastel games that we love and bridges us to the modern Zelda games that we love, play, skyward sword.

I think it's good that they understand it's important to stay relevant with the times, but I hope they realize that Zelda has already carved out it's niche in the gaming world and it could be the trendsetter for other games to be more imaginative

I don’t want to replay the game because in my memory I had to beat that dumb Ganon beast like 10 times!! And as their first attempt at more of an “open world” game, the world felt very limited and disconnected to each other.

I miss the opening themes.

I kinda love the ToTK one. All it needs is some menu music and itd be perfect.
