Nope it's a prop used in the adult swim tf2 trailer. I found it in January. Caught me off guard too since I didn't remember it from the trailer at first but I instantly knew what it was.

For the No More Heroes 3 thing, my guess would be that the word "stupid" was only bleeped for comic effect. You know, like the thing of censoring a word in a completely normal sentence to make it look dirty.
I mean, it's funny knowing that the word is stupid, but I'm not sure the joke lands when there's no indication of what the word is when simply playing the game.
Kind of like how in Gravity Falls Disney censored “spin the bottle” and so Alex replaced it with “not S&P approved”, which ended up implying something far worse than just “spin the bottle” lol

Yeah I was actually really surprised to see it here. It's called comedy. It's supposed to be ripping into jrpgs and by bleeping it, it allows the viewer to fill in with whatever rpg trope they want. Fuckin a I can't believe I actually have to explain how its a joke.
The chastity belt was actually used, it's set dressing in the TF2 adult swim commercial and can be seen right off the bat sitting on the TV. Chains in the same position as it is in the commercial. Leads me to believe it was more just set dressing than anything that was planned as a cosmetic.
Correct. I found the prop in the files back in January.
Given the fact that it was a Venture Bros. Item specifically, it's also possible that the Molotov's special belt could have also been a cut item that could've potentially been obtained through Poker Night at the Inventory 2, which was a gambling game featuring Brock Samson himself (someone that has close ties to Molotov) and already had numerous rewards you could've obtained through special bounties or completing certain requirements within the gambling simulation, such as Brock's Locks, an item you could have gotten in Tf2 through these means that's Brock's Wig. Perhaps this Chastity Belt, given its spicy nature and the spicy nature of gambling as a whole, could've been what one of the original rewards was planned to be.
That seems a pretty fitting "prize" for Brock to put up in a poker game

I don't think the chastity belt was ever intended to be a cosmetic item, as it was actually used as set dressing for the TF2 Adult Swim commercial. You can see it right at the start of the commercial sitting on the tv, with the chains in the leak model in the exact same position as they lay on the tv.
@@SoupSaladNBread Also there are cosmetics made based on the Monarch's minions too. And I think originally they planned to have a TF2 series on Adult Swim, but their pilot episode Expiration Date was not 12 minutes like Adult Swim thought and wanted so the project was canned cause it was too long.

I'm surprised for Fallout you picked Virgin of the Wastes instead of the scrapped Childkiller image. (For those curious, it depicted Vault Boy kicking a pregnant woman).
I think child killer is so well known at this point that odd wanted to go with something a little more obscure, but that's just a guess

I love the backstory behind the scrapped perk image, as the poor guy tasked with coming up with revamped illustrations for all the returning perks in 2 literally made me feel bad for him given how he struggled so hard to make such an example image not extremely offensive and unfortunately thought the scrapped image was the best way to do it.

About the Mario stuff, at the time it was perfectly legal in Japan for that sort of thing, it was considered "comedic" and some times simply irrelevant. You could find that sort of thing in manga and anime and some videogames, all directed to children. The reason they removed it is most likely to prevent the game from being banned in other countries where there were already laws to prevent that type of stuff in digital media (Japan got the later) directed to children.
Like Bowser and Peach chugging champagne in the Japanese version of Super Mario Kart they could have just removed it from the international version, plus it's not their character so they likely would need to pay for his use, which is why I still think it's a placeholder.
Also I was wondering if the character was dressed as a tanuki, which are known for having massive and visible balls when portrayed in art.

although the "russian chastity belt" doesn't appear in the actual TF2 game, it DOES appear in an ad for TF2 on adult swim. in the ad, the mercs are watching venture bros on a tv and on the tv is the chastity belt posed in the same exact way it is in the files. so it seems like it was only every really used in that one advert. very interesting!

Very likely. There was a similar situation in the show Smiling Friends where a character says somekind of a racial slur that's censored with no hints what he actually said. Only for the creators to reveal the VA was mumbling just so they had audio to censor to the audio effect.

Fun fact, No More Heroes is part of a larger, connected franchise encompassing Killer7 and Let It Die, and many other titles.
I think no more hero's thing might of been them planning the censored bleep joke for that scene so they just wrote random bs for the actors to read cus they where just going to bleep it to make the scene feel more raunchy

actually a majority of namedrops are censored in No More Heroes are censored for both comedic effect and copyright, the stupid being censored was a funny thing to find out lol, but from the u.i you could INSTANTLY tell it was final fantasy they were talking about haha

7:34 No idea why so many people believe in this misconception, but Sonic '06 is not a Reboot by any means, and even somewhat picks up on previously established stuff, like the relationship between Shadow and the rest of Team Dark. Heck, originally they wanted to tie to the Sonic Rush' story but this was "somewhat" dropped.
The "realistic graphics" is just an artstyle direction they chose since the devs wished to make a game with that look for the consoles of the new generation, and since a new Sonic game was to be made as well they just diecided to use the art direction they had in mind for that, with mixed results.
Well, technically, reboots can still use previously established stuff.
I'm not sure if the release dates match, but the girl from Takeshis challenge might be a reference to Metroid, she does look pretty similar to the Samus sprite at the end of the original Metroid

Slight note about DangenRanpa V3. Because the series was already a success by this point, the publisher never rejected the game causing retooling. It's core concept is grim but had already been the premise of many successful games and spinoffs by this point. The incident you're thinking of actually happened to the first game, which was released back in 2010. That being said, V3 was a major source of controversy in South Korea, as a teenage girl who murdered someone was found to have been a fan of online roleplaying; and a series of misunderstandings later many news outlets incorrectly claimed she committed the murder because of her fascination with DangenRanpa RP. Because of this the game was banned in Korea.

I have played Sonic 06 for years and I never knew about the pigeon Hatsun. Just seeing Silver and Blaze who are some of my favourite characters by the way, talking to a Pigeon will always be one of the funniest and cutest things I have seen in my life. Apart from the pigeon being evil of course.

it was just a mention, it would actually fall under parody/fair use, in the same way that marvel chars talk about batman and superman, and wear said heroes logos on t-shirts, DC also does this with marvel chars and symbols, so the censorship has nothing to do with copyright, but likely more the creators not wanting to get on squaresofts bad side via poking fun too hard

About the Jedi Starfighter theory, look up a picture of Timothy Longo, lead designer of the game. Could be him I guess? Has similar shape of the head, and it seems he does sometimes have similar facial hair?

As soon as super mario world popped up i couldn’t stop fixating my eyes on the stray pixel.
Speaking of content in game files, Minecraft (at least the PS3 version) has texture files for every item and block in the game. In one of the texture files, it also shows PC Mod items like a Quiver and a Ruby. Plus the fact that the credits in the game also mentioned the Mo Creatures Mod, but I haven't checked that in years. They could've removed that in an update after the PS4 version released.
Also, Mortal Kombat 9 has a txt file that prevents people from saying cusswords on the online part. The worst thing is that all of the cusswords are 100% uncensored, including words and phrases practically no one would've ever known unless they saw that file.

I think the first thing is supposed to be modeled after a tanuki. Tanuki's typically have big family jewels, which are supposed to be a sign of immense wealth and luck.
Just here to say, BoF3 is probably my favorite rpg. The characters, humor, existential story.... It's so good and terribly underrated. Thank you so much for shining some light on it. I still have the disk and memory card from all those years ago.

I was playing dukes of hazzard the return of the general lee on the og xbox the other day and i noticed wen you turn the volume up an play the dixie horn (the general lee horn) you can hear something else then a police siren in the background during the horn tune. Almost like it was cut from an old episode of the show or something. No idea why they didn't use a clean audio.
There are few channels that I'll immediately stop what I'm doing to watch their new content when they upload, but this is one of them.
