i’m in this swap about 4-5k parts i used on “mullet jr” include: junkyard 5.3 lm7 and 4l80e motor mount - dd-3550c headers - 25-1026-1 oil pan - stock gen 3 lm7 pan fuel pump - gss341bx fuel pump assembly - fg156a fuel rails - sum-227152 fuel pressure regulator - 7845bk fuel filter - 5566 intake manifold - ls2 air intake tubing kit - ms-06880 (on amazon) throttle body - s20008 accelerator pedal...
would these part numbers also work with a 78 cutlass supreme by chance?

thank you i really appreciate it, i would recommend doing it😁👍 it took me over a year, but i had no prior experience working on engines. if you have an idea of what you’re doing, it should take like 2-3 weeks haha

No AC in Az is crazy. But nice build. My first car in high school was a 78 with a 3.6 lol but I’m pushing 40 and want another G body. Another El Camino or another IROCZ. LS swap for sure. 👍
yeah no ac is rough haha, but both of those sound like a perfect choice for a next car😎
Can’t find the headers no where
they re-named the header part number i listed to some other model vehicles, i’m assuming it’s because people were having fitment issues like i was :/

what did u use to get it lowered? looks perfect.
2 inch lowering springs in the front and some savagely cut rear springs😂 the bump stop on the body was laying on the rear axle haha, not sure if it hurt the rear end because it has been swapped

Thats one sleeper there the way it looks. Youd never know what was underrneath that hood. Only clue i can see is that its lowered and that personalized license plate LS CUHH 👍❤😎

You need the fuel tank and sending unit for an elcamino with a 4.3. The grand national sending unit is at the wrong angle

The part # for headers says c10. Did you have to modify anything to fit?
well thats interesting, thats the part number i bought 3 years ago that was advertised for g body applications… there must have been other people with fitment issues as well, so they changed the description. i had to slightly hammer in one primary tube on the passenger side, and one or two on the driver side
now with my dingo slider mounts set almost all the way back, there’s not much of a need to beat the headers up to fit haha

Will the stock oil pan clear the g body front cross member or does it require a new oil pan
the truck pans fit, but hang 2 - 2 1/4” below crossmember.. unless you’re lifting the car on big wheels i would not do it

@@jakehuse5669 i made another video on the holley 302-3 pan, it works perfect👍 i spent the money on a real holley one but you will more than likely be just fine with an amazon knock off

What kind and size wheels?
Did you have to do any modifications to the k member or did it just drop right in with no issues?
for a 4l80, i just drilled a hole on the top of the cross m. beam for the trans mount stud to fall into. then cut an access hole on the bottom of the cross m. to tighten the nut. for a 4l60, i had to weld a plate on the front or back (i can’t remember) of the cross m. using the same mounting holes on the frame
Simple, affordable, and doable. This build turned out clean. That idle, though it's a rockin'. Love it. Now, to get some work done on my 82 MC.

Also get you a rear out of 2000 z28 zexel torsen rear. It fits right in You will have to change the axle to 28 spine
Whats going on man. I just got my Elco and it has 205/75/14 and i wanna different look. What tire size are you running & do they rub
sweet that’s pretty close to my setup in this video.. if you look at my other videos, i have a hotrod wheel/tire combo and it looks damn good😁 i’m running 15x8 0 offset in the rear, with a 1/4 spacer, wrapped in 275/60/15’s. and 15x7 0 offset in the front with 235/60/15’s! i had to clearance the rear fenders to avoid rubbing. wire wheels are also a great fit😉

The Holley terminator part number is for a 5.7 not a 5.3
You have an IG? Are you on qa1 coilovers?
Clean!! As for the hood clearance on the alternator did u have to cut out the hood for the extra little clearance ?
thank you! and no sir, i just had to scoot the motor back with my sliding mounts. cleared with the truck intake too
Did you have any issues with those headers ?
i had to hammer in one primary on each side a little bit, to clear the frame on the passenger side, and lower control arm on the driver side. but… now that i slid my motor back with the dirty dingo mounts, i dont think i would have needed to do that! they’re good👍
