  • I've made it one full year on TH-cam! In this video I discuss the last year, the upcoming year, and if I should continue on TH-cam. I also share clips from my top six videos over the last year. I truly appreciate all who have watched my videos over the last year, all who have commented and reached out through email. You guys are what makes TH-cam worth doing!

I commend you for taking the time to make your videos, especially with all you've got going on. My chores on our little farm, and working full time as a smith wouldn't leave me any time to film and edit, so I can't imagine how you find the time! Thanks.

It is definitely tough, with some seasons being tougher than others, like the one we are starting now - lambing, calving, and shoeing season ramping up this month. I do enjoy it though so I'm going to try my best to get it done. Thank you for your comment and your support!

I gotta take my hat off to you as well as any other TH-cam content creators. I can’t imagine having to juggle what I do in my daily life which can also be quite hectic and then decide to also record, edit etc a TH-cam video on top of everything else. I appreciate the vids you’ve done so far, the tongs videos in particular. Don’t kill yourself by spreading yourself so thin. You’ve got a family and homestead that comes first. Keep up the awesome work!

There is definitely a lot more work to TH-cam behind the scenes than I realized before I got started. I can't watch a TH-cam video now without seeing all of the work that went into it. I enjoy sharing my passion for tong making with others so I am glad you enjoy those videos! Thank you for comment and your support.

Congrats on the one year mark. You have done well. Your videos are well done and enjoyable. I have learned quite a bit from your videos and have gone back to review a few times. You are right about time consumption and the $'s. It takes me 3 to 4 times as long to do a project if I film it. Not counting the many hours of editing 20-30 hrs of video into 15-30 min. I have watched everyone of your videos and commented on every one of them.
To all the viewers of Jayce's channel, I have visited Jayce at his forge, Jayce and his wonderful family are a joy to meet. I hope to visit Jayce this summer. Jayce is very talented and has many skills.

First of all, thank you for your excellent channel. There are priorities in life that are not just TH-cam. You have a ranch with livestock to attend to and first of all you have to think about the future of your children. TH-cam is just a small extra, like a desert, not the main course meal. And for me, the blacksmithing you do is much more interesting than forging knives, damascus, axes or hatchets. The series you are making on blacksmith vices repair is very interesting. Keep posting videos as time allows you to, present us with projects you have to complete for your farmstead and that will be perfect ... even "forging a hook for the sheep wagon"! 😎
