sounds like its running lean. the primer bulb is just giving it more. ill have to try this on my channel and see if i can open the jet and make it work.
I turned the psi up on my courier to about 16 psi and was working good. Few days latter jumped in it and the psi had reset to stock 11psi so I turned the tap in more and now it’ll go to 16psi and then drop instantly back to 11psi. How do I fix it? Cheers
It might need a electric pump to keep the flow up. I ran Briggs on paint thinners once, apart from revving to beyond redline the fumes made my eyes sweat 🤣

Split the carby from the tank and replace the diaphragm. The diaphragm goes hard and won’t draw fuel up from the tank.
But does a whipper snipper run on diesel?
I used to run my moped on 70 percent diesel and 30 percent petrol was hard to start but then fine.

your electronic boost management system is playing up, otherwise its the wastegate actuator solenoid
Mine started ok and got more than enough fuel. It just smoked real bad and ran bad
