- We were gifted with a glimps of what was coming in the 1.6 update with the 1.56 update and inclusion of thje 2024 stock cars that came with the new tyre physics.

Good Job Owen, I had those tires on the Nascar Mod.. Got real loose. lost it a couple times.. decided to wait on them. For now. I really need to work on some setups. Can't wait 1.6. More Fun! incoming

I think the 1.6 tyres is a huge difference, personally i cant even drive the other cars now because how flawed they are imo.
In 1.6 you much much less slip angle so you cant just drift in every corner. But the most crucial thing is how understeer operates, on 1.56 tyres you can almost always just turn the wheel more during a corner and magically find grip and turn in the car, this is impossible in other sims and real life. If you are on the edge you cant apply more steering force, that just dosent work. Well that is also fixed in 1.6 thankfully!
Now this is just the preview, im not a beta tester so im hoping the real 1.6 update will be even better and that all cars now finally feel believable on the limit.

Wow, this direction is what i have been hoping for in AMS2. That awful floaty slidy feel around the corners made me stop playing AMS2 as it felt to far off from the other sims.
@@Jonny._. Yup its been the main complaint for years, Ive played AMS 2 since years back and while its gotten better they never truly fixed the core issue but like I said 1.6 tyres seems to fix most if not all core issues we had. So yeah 1.6 update is a big thing!

The tyres in the 1.6 update will be updated even for these and the F1 Gen 2, these do give us a glimpse, but they are not the finished product. I am glad about that, they still slide a little too much. I just wish the weight transfer was more evident, the way it is in the Mod cars. Oh and Fred has released the GT86 mod :)

I always test against AC every car I try, yes, still too slidey, weight transfer seems to be fine, I can't abuse brutal turn in anymore, but braking feel still MUCH better in AC. AI is the only thing that is much better in AMS2.
I prefare real life over AC, the colours just pop so much better.............. ;)

Custom AI ... I downloaded the mod you linked for that... But how do you initiate it... In the menu like the FFB settings...?? Am I missing something.?
No just throw it in content manager ahit apply and your done, pn as default

I don’t notice much difference between the old tyres and the 1.6 (Brazil stock cars 24) tyres. I hope they vastly improve it soon , along with the ai. I’m losing interest in ams2.

I agree, they need to sort out Multi Player
So is it still the only sim where understeer is overcome by just turning more? It seems to me the switch to Madness engine turned out to be a constant battle with unnatural, weird tyre feel. Such a shame since AMS1 was one of the best in that respect.
