They still have no flights to Europe 🇪🇺, thankfully Air France 🇫🇷 is returning to the Philippines after more than 20 years and will restart their direct nonstop flights between Manila and Paris Charles de Gaulle on December 08 and it will be 3 weekly flights, a big relief for us Schengen Visa holders and "Au Revoir" to pesky layovers.
I've never flown on Philippine Airlines, however my cousin used to fly between Rome and London Gatwick on a Philippine Airlines B747. He used to say that it was an excellent flight with superb inflight attendants.
It's great that they added a direct flight from Manila to the US particulary Seattle. I wish there will also be a straight flight from Sky Harbor in Phoenix which where I am based at. By the way, your trip report was awesome and i just subscribed.
Great video. I remembered PAL was supposed to launch to SEA long times ago and UA didn’t accept. They have a lot of Filipino in WA and OR. I had flown on PAL B77W before from MNL to BKK on business class Jan 2016.

PAL’s business class is a joke on these senior citizen 777s. No offense intended to seniors. I am 70 myself and I certainly wouldn’t sell myself as 4-star. I only experienced it once and never again. I only fly on ANA and JAL on my regular trips between LAS & MNL. The connections are convenient and the quality, cleanliness and reliability of Japanese airlines is beyond compare. One thing PAL has aside from excellent cabin crews: Flying on PAL seems to have therapeutic benefits. I see so many people boarding with wheelchair assistance and miraculously many of those wheelchairs are no longer required at the destination. 😊
Yes that is true. I flew the MNL -LAX and the YVR-MNL business class seating 2-3-2 last year. They have an -ex Garuda 777 with 1-2-1 seating, hope they keep it that way.

Remember the Taiwanese competition BR25/271 can be cheaper than PR125. LAX-MNL via TPE versions you're looking at BR11/15 to BR271 vs PR103 daytime BR5/261 vs PR113

It's about time. Layovers can be very stressful. But i prefer arriving in Seattle in the day as oppose in the evening. You cannot beat the view when arriving in Seattle especially when the sky is clear.

Filipino wife of 48 years and I are heading for Vistamar Resort where we have a large home waiting, a live in maid, two doggies and some warmer weather. Leaving Seattle on Asiana Air, ( poor class ). We go each Nov. for 3 or 4 months at a time. This old American made his first trip to Manila and Cebu in 1978.

I fly Philippine Airlines more than once a year from Honolulu to Manila. Now, I could fly from Honolulu to Seattle with Hawaiian Airlines and then to Manila with Philippine Airlines.
Glad to see Asian carriers recently established direct routes to Seattle again, China Airlines, Starlux, and now Philippines Airline. Also, Delta launched direct flight to Taiwan. Hope to see Cathay Pacific and Singapore airline soon.

Covid and Hong Kong government almost killed Cathay Pacific. Hope it can restore its glory but it has a long way to go.
NAIA now has a second destination to the Pacific Northwest after Vancouver and the 6th overall destination to the United States. From NAIA Terminal 1 in Parañaque to Sea-Tac Int'l Airport in SeaTac, WA, PAL did well to do this welcoming Filipinos to the Evergreen State aka Washington State.

Notice that Seattle is located between the Puget Sound to the west and Lake Washington to the east as it is located by water. If you want to stay in the best suburbs and satellite cities, I like Mercer Island, Bellevue, and most preferably, Redmond.

I flew them last year the 2-3-2 configuration is dated but they more than make up for the warm service and the food was outstanding.

Singapore has been back for a while, Cathay Pacific has no plans to return to Seattle anytime soon sadly
