Day 38! Rough patches come and go but im still going strong. Thanks Jae and everyone for the support!
Come and go indeed!! We got this!
Went sober on 22nd Feb 23, so I'm coming up on a year. It got easier and easier to say no, and then suddenly, I just had no taste for booze anymore.
The second day off of cigarettes. Missed reaching for them in the car , but no more.
Thanks, Jae.You are an inspiration to me .
The best part about quitting one thing, is know HOW to quit. you already have the tools, and also, our videos apply to any addiction, just replace the word alcohol with _________ 🤓
“The only way out is through,” and it’s so much better on the other side. I’m past half a year now, 190 days. I’m keeping my sobriety at the top of my pyramid every single day, which allows everything else fall into place under that. Life isn’t always easy, but it’s so much better sober. Get sober, stay sober, live sober. 💪🏻💖 Thank you, Jae.
"everything else falls into place" 👏👏👏 #wise
This one hit hard!!! My sober streak is 112 days.
A real slapper!!!
Thank you for this video!! Need this kick in the butt today 💪
I'm at day 1 again. I'm tired of not living up to the person I want to be.
Gotta keep trying my friend! 10 day ones. 100 day ones. 1000 days ones if neccesary. We will get there.
It doesn't matter how many day ones you have, you're always welcome back here with open arms!
Now let's get you into double digits!!!

@@gwillis01 thank you so much!! 😊
Damn. You're good. I'm a recovering alcoholic (many, many wasted years). I'm sending this video to a friend of mine in an attempt to help her. I couldn't even begin to say it better than you did in this video. Kudos. I thank God for my recovery. Literally. I never would have guessed I was capable at the time. Now it's been many years. You can do it!
LETS DO IT TOGETHER!!!! keep us updated on your friend! We are all just a helping hand away from being lead in the right direction 🫱🤝🫲
My story: I was a binge drinker for 50 years. How did I stop drinking so easily? I skipped the counseling and anonymous platitudes. I went to my doctor. He gave me a choice of two remedies. The monthly injection of Vivitrol or the daily 50mg tablet of naltrexone. I took the tablets for 30 days to detox and almost immediately lost the cravings for beer. Losing the cravings was as easy and taking Motrin for muscle aches. Mark me safe from alcohol.
10 days sober and counting. It will happen!
You have a lot of friends in the 10 day sober club!!! KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE!
keep up the good work. Marshall. Keep it going
It will happen... I'm 12 days sober today. I'm already starting to see the benefits, my blood pressure has come down to normal levels, the withdrawal symptoms (which was hell initially) are slowly fading, and my sleep is improving (but not perfect). Once again, I wanted to thank you Jae for making another inspirational banger.
On another note, I'm not sure if you've already made a video on this topic. But I wanted to know your thoughts on how medication and natural remedies can help people get sober. Personally, I started taking Gabapentin (off-label use for Alcoholism and Anxiety), this med has helped me tremendously with controlling cravings. Also, I take Naltrexone as a precaution, in case I do relapse (God forbid), it makes drinking completely unenjoyable and prevents me from overdrinking. Lastly, I replaced my evening drinking habit with brewing a strong mug of chamomile tea and it helps me relax, it gives me a similar feeling to drinking a beer. - V
However you get sober is however you get sober! Just make sure that whatever you are attributing to YOUR success, doesn't hold the KEY to your success.
You are the magic ingredient ✨
Congratulations on your sobriety, I have 28 days for the first time. I also had 4 years of experience with Gabapentin and I would encourage you to do more research on that drug. I had to go to an emergency room in a Mexican hospital once and they called it a bad drug. I was given a 2 week step down prescription to get off of it (sorry don't remember the drugs I was given) and went through withdrawal symptoms from Gabapentin that were far worse than withdrawal from alcohol, even after decades of drinking. I like to take every opportunity to help keep people from having to go through that hell. Anyway, again congratulations on getting sober!
@@user-eb4ds9ln7f Thank you! And I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the medication, I will say it definitely has its risks and it's not for everyone. I was told by my doctor that you aren't supposed to take Gabapentin for a long time, it's just for the detox period and then you are supposed to slowly taper off of it. * Disclaimer I'm not a medical professional, just sharing my experience, results may vary.*
Look into amino acid therapy Fit Recovery you tube has lots of videos on it
im almost a week in again i wont give up

Closing in on 90. 101 will be my longest period sober in over 40 years.
NEW RECORD HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Great video Jae! Day 377 here. As usual, you are right on! Uncover, discover and discard past trauma events and process feelings. That is still really new to me after being the poster child feelings-wise of Pink Floyd's song Comfortably Numb.
The anthems of our youth had a way of hypnotizing us didn't they? Be careful what your eyes and EARS consume too!
Thank you for this video! Aiming for dry January and beyond. You speak truth! I had a friend invite me to drink tonight, it was a no go for me, she suggest i drink coffee or tea. Right now i dont even want to be around it and waste time id rather be at the gym. Yesterday, bored at home on a day off i wanted to drink...out of boredom, what a dumb reason to drink, i did not. 10 days in and feeling so much better about myself and my life.
That's exactly the discipline it takes to WIN!

I'm tired of fighting. But I'm willing to lose to win. Wish it was luck but damnit Lets face it. It is bare knuckle hard work.
89 days. These mental battles with myself have been tough, but I'd rather do it this way than to drown myself and pretend that they don't exist
Day 2. This was perfect timing, as I was just thinking about drinking and having that battle of yes and no in my head, and you brought me back and reminded me of my 'why's'.
Thank you so much for what you do💜

All the things you've said. "Are you through" was when it finally hit me. I've tried in the past but always used words like "I THINK I'm done" or "I'll give it a go" now... the only sentence I use is "I'm done" afyer 16 years lost. I'm done. Day 9 today

Hey Jae, thanks for another great video! Today is Day 10 for me and am already feeling some of the benefits. I am already sleeping better, feeling more motivated and just generally feeling really good about this long overdue chapter in my life. I have drank for 21 out of the 42 years of my life so far and the last few have been more heavily than I care to admit. Thanks to prayer, your inspiring and informative videos, as well as always keeping busy, I have been getting through one day at a time. Not drinking or drugging is the most important thing I do everyday 💯❤️
Another wonderfully supportive video...thanks, Jae and friends! I've been watching for some time now and appreciate your approach to sobriety. 625 consecutive days alcohol free and counting. I feel great and getting excited to celebrate two years sober in April! Anyone just starting out: it's tough for the first few weeks but gets easier as your sober days stack up. Less worry and anxiety, better sleep and greater self-esteem. You've got this! ❤👏
Of course I remember you 🥰

I’ve been on the sobriety search very deeply recently and found your videos . Motivated me In a ridiculous way, taking your tips , applying them . I’ve got as far as telling my family, friends , coworkers etc.. talked to a doctor (not necessarily by choice, I had an ear infection, then an anxiety attack in the doctors office )
But regardless made it too the point where I’m getting help, and support . And I just have to say, this video motivated me more than anything . As I’m trying to wing off , I’m down to only 4 drinks today, and I’m already feeling way better and motivated to get completely sober .. thank you for everything your doing , this video really hit home . What improvements have you noticed in your 2 months?
@@GettingSoberAgain My head is much clearer, my workouts have improved dramatically, no more weird aches in my sides, I've lost weight, better digestion. I could go on. I’ve quite so many times. I always go back. But never had my health deteriorating. Yellowing eyes, terrible bowels, foggy, tremors. I need to stay sober. Im through. Tired of it all. But Im struggling with quitting. I feel so stuck and lost. I lost my job a few months ago and haven't been able to find work. The stress and worry just fuels the drinking and depression, digging me into a deeper hole. Its been getting worse and worse. I need to just push through the difficulty.
I get the stuck and lost sentiment. I got laid off from a really good job on January 2nd and then my husband of two and a half years died of a sudden heart attack last week on January 6th. He was 52 and has a 16 year old daughter that lives with me from a previous marriage... So I NEED to get sober for her. Not trying to tell "war stories" but I just have a lot of regrets..my husband and I had talked about going completely sober before he passed and I wonder if he would still be here if we had.
Day 1. I know I'm better without it. No more excuses.
I am making progress by practicing the beautiful guidance I find in the videos. I'm not a sober success story but I am thankful that watching these videos is helping me drink less and less. 👍
