    Never thought I would quit coffee, ever since I started drinking Yerba mate 🧉 I have been feeling my best all day with sustained energy and better focus 🧘🏼‍♀️ I also drank it as a pre workout drink and I performed wayyyyy better than any other drink in comparison to pre work out powders.

      I too quit coffee cold turkey. I went from drinking 1-2 cups DAILY for over 2 years to drinking 1-2 liters of Mate. I didn’t even realize I didn’t want coffee. I just craved the Mate over the coffee and bam!

      Yeah, I quit coffee and beer for yerba mate. Don't miss either and I feel 100% better every day. My beer belly melted in a week, and I feel like I'm working at 100%

    Starts at 5:56 if you want to skip the unrelated materials and go straight to the brewing methods

    You can brew it overnight in the French press too, don't need a big jar and a strainer and a pot. Just leave the French press out overnight, rather than in the fridge. You can pour it over ice cubes after, or chill it in the fridge, but this way you only need the French press. Brewing it outside the fridge also takes much less time.

    Yes, as a terere my family will put fresh mint, squeezed lemon, and a bit of simple syrup or honey with ice for the mate.

    Love at 12:00 when he says you can drink it right away, or let it brew for 20 minutes-then immediately grabs glass lol. 100 degrees out, I would too :)

    A juice bag / nut milk bag works well for cold brew as well - pretty much a giant reusable tea bag, works better for Argentina cuts cuz the more dusty ones falls through the strainer more easily

      Amazing, I bought one for cold brew coffee and I was just about to ask if I could use it for this too.

    I wonder if that Japanese method works with this, putting the mate over some ice, and letting the ice slowly melt in the fridge overnight, and then straining/drinking it the next day - that's amazing with Japanese and Chinese teas, I bet this would be pretty good with mate

    This is all i mess with so far. Other than chimmaro.Cant ask for much more out of a cold drink. Plan on drinking hot when it gets cold. Gonna try the sangria sample tomorrow.

    I heard of yerba mate and its benefits and I have been on the search for the best way for me to brew it. Many of the videos involved using a gourd which doesn't work for me because I will be in the Uni library for the better part of my day. I was looking for a way to brew the yerba tea in a way I can transfer to a container and the press thing really works. Cold brew, on the other hand, seems like bit too much work given my time constraint. Anyway, thanks for this.
    One additional question. How many times can i re-use the leaves when I am using the press?

    • @Circleofdrink
      @Circleofdrink  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      IMdrkil Thanks watching. You can re-use the leave at least 2 times, max 3.

      IMdrkil Dude, there's a thing people call MATE MÁGICO, which is a thermos + the gourd all in one container. Really handy if you're a student or if you work in an office.

    What about brewing it in a little hot water, before adding ice and cold water? I would emagine it would get better extraction.

      The main draw of cold brewing is that it doesn't release the tannins so it doesn't get bitter. If you brew it with hot water at all, it releases the tannins and defeats the point.

      Hot will make it bitter. You have no clue about brewing. As for the length of the video, you have the ability to skip. It’s a TH-cam feature since the beginning.
