I feel it captures a LITTLE too much on wide end. I prefer 50mm. But of course it depends on what you shoot. I guess its about "adapting"..... P.s. very nice shots in the video 👌
Hey my friend! I agree, for some situations I wish I had a tighter lens. But if you are the courageous type, you can simply adjust the composition by taking a few steps forward. Thank you for watching!
Great video Jason ❤ I personally I am more into 28mm for my street photography but I agree that Sony offers better 35mm lenses. I wish they upgrade their outdated 28mm one 😅
I’m currently torn between getting the Sony 28mm f2 & 35mm 1.8 FE. I want it mainly for traveling and everyday carry I already have the 55mm 1.8 so i’m leaning more towards the 28 for more versatility, and if i needed something in between i could always use the 35mm crop feature on the sony with the 28 to get something close to the 35mm-ish… still don’t know what to pick though😭
I've heard good things about 28mm focal length, I do remember when I had my 16-35 GM mk1, I found myself always punching in to 35mm in many situations. I actually sold my 16-35gm, and purchased the 24-70gmii because I always found myself punching in. I would say it really depends on your style. If you like capturing scenes as a whole (Landscapes, cityscapes, mountain ranges) wider is better. If you like to get more details while still maintaining a wide field of view, 35mm and up is your answer.
Would people rather shoot on 35mm or 85mm if they could choose one? I think I would choose 85..but there is also 50mm..I’m not the type who always wants to move around to get my shot
I'm usually adjusting my curves, lifting the shadows a bit, and flattening the highlights. Also using the luminance tool to reduce the noise. It gives it a polished look. Another simple way is to reduce the clarity tab. I want to do another photo editing video!
You can get creative with any focal length, but if I had to choose one to bring with me on a trip it would be 35mm, just because of its versatility and natural aesthetic

Not wide enough, you can also stich/panorama...
My favorite focal length, and my favorite 35mm lens. Agree on both 🔥📷
What about 24mm?
Good choice!
great too
yeah, 35MM is my go to lens
35GM & Zeiss Loxia 35
I'm loving it so much
Nice shots
Thanks for the visit

I recommend 35

Get the 50mm, best of both
I always feel like I need more reach with the 35mm..how do others work around this?
With a 50mm
@@arman3464is 50mm too tight for architecture and nature?
@@dovakinh6937 neither too tight nor too wide. just about the sweet spot
Cool
How to you get the smooth finish in your photos?

@@JasonPierceOfficial Oh Ill try this then love that look .
Nice video, horrible focal length. Nothing can beat the cinematic and nostalgic mood the 50mm and 85mm can offer.
35mm 1.4 is way more versatile than you think. Not “horrible” in any sense. 35mm is a go to for many filmmakers too.
50mm is great, but at times can be too tight I feel for specific scenarios. Would love to get a 50mm prime as well.
Yes 35mm is the way to go.... anything less is not aesthetic or artistic
