Bought a pillow like this in 2010 from Sam's Club and can't determine the name brand on it. Everyone fights over and brought this all over the world, even on missions in Afghanistan where I had to choose between sleeping bag and pillow. The only pillow type I can recommend! Once I even left it in a hotel and bribed staff $100 for a $40 pillow to mail it to me... No joke!
If your contour pillow starts to deflate, what you can do is place a rolled up towel underneath the neck support part, inside of the pillow case that tightly wraps around the pillow, not the bigger case that you directly sleep on. I have a regular contour pillow, and after around 6 months, it was dead. However, I placed rolled up towel in the case and the pillow almost feels brand new. Make sure the towel is the right size. If it isn't, sacrifice one and cut it to size. Place rubber bands at each ends(not the middle), then place it underneath the neck support part(not on top). Make sure to place it in the pillow case(the cover) that wraps directly around the pillow, not the bigger one. The towel should be nice and snug.
I never knew that there were different thickness but soft and firm pillows I know from travel a lot some pillows at a hotel my head hit and went to sleep other times I had harder time with harder pillows thank you Brena
I got a contour pillow at Target for about $30, and it really helped with my neck pain from degenerative disc disease. I tried several of these pillows at a bed store, but they were very expensive. The one I got started out hard, but has gotten softer over a few months as the memory foam molded to my head and neck. It goes to show that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a pillow that gives you good support.
My mistake, actually it's French. Vive is defined as French for live or long life. Pronounced like Veev. Vive is defined as French for live or long life. An example of vive is when a group yells out "Vive le tour!" during the Tour de France bike race.
I've been getting really really bad nerve pain headaches for over a month now and after I watched your videos I now realized that its not just a problem I have to live with. Going to be getting these pillows and trying them for sure.
The way I sleep and position my head throughout the night, I can't use a contour pillow. I currently use a Saybrook premium pillow. It's thick enough to properly support my head. It contains a mix of fillers including some memory foam. I love this pillow. The best I've ever used. My wife likes her contour pillow, I hate it.
This was not good for me at all. Ended up sleeping with NO pillow for a few nights and even that felt better. I’m a side sleeper mostly. I Have some kind of cervical Zamat pillow I’m trying now. Only had it a few days, but if it shows any promise I’ll try to make it back here and let you know!
Going to purchase the Aeris one for my boyfriend for Valenties Day as a gift! Getting a good pillow is so important since we sleep on it all the time! It is going to worth the investment!
What about buckwheat hulls or kapok? For 15+ years, my main pillow has been contour. (FYI, the cheap mem foam go flat FAST. Temper lasts ~ 2 years. Latex lasts 40+). Kapok > feather down, because it can always be refluffed. I was gifted a buckwheat hull pillow. It was strange at first (makes noise which might bother some), but feels great on my neck. Silk case. It lived about 10 years.
Ooh I get those, bad dreams then when I wake up I realise I've been sleeping in a position that cut off a bit of the blood supply near my head and that spot feels numb (like sleeping on your hand for a long time and it goes numb, but instead it's my head)
I bought one these many years ago but stopped using it. It's too stiff and conventional pillows are better. Key thing is to change your pillow once it goes flat and wont fluff up.
I just bought this alien spaceship looking pillow from Elviros. I hope it works better than other contour pillows I've tried. It really is about finding what works best for you.
Wondering about reviews from people who've been using these pillows for relieving the pain from "tech neck". Do they really help or are they more a gimmick, just for convenience?
We love a contour pillow. We believe they really do help in the long run. They help avoid neck issues while sleeping as well as they help keep your body in the right position to help other things like herniated discs etc.
I just got o e of these at Bed BAth and Beyond. There was one for 99.00 the one I bought was 35.00 less my 20% off coupon. Wasn’t sure it would work for my neck pain, but it does. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😘
The best contour/ neck pillow is one from Ikea that they no longer sell, I wish they did! It’s the best pillow ever but getting old and I should replace it soon.
I have TMJ dislocation problem. Please tell about sleeping position which would suit me best. Your massage n exercise videos on tmj dislocation were really helpful.
Extremely helpful. B&B clarified how both contours may be used on the orthopedic pillow depending on the comfort of the neck resting in the pillow. I found the lower contour more comfortable for lying flat while the higher for laying on the side. Thank you B&B.
Based on other videos/info. online we switched to the higher contour and it hasn't been working. Will switch back to the lower contour having seen this video. :)
I found a contour pillow that fits me well at JC Penneys. It was on sale for $15.99 and I used a coupon I got in the mail so that I paid the whopping price of $6.35. It is memory foam, not too dense, and has no chemical odor. I have seen other comments about having a sore neck after use of the contour pillow. Another therapist on youtube said that initial soreness is normal as one's muscles adapt. Do you concur?
@@carl8568 It has been pretty good. It's a little small for the curve of my neck, but I am older and my neck curve is a little more pronounced than a younger person's. Honestly, sometimes I just use a rolled towel and that works pretty well.
HI there, Ive been using a dunlopillo contour cervical latex pillow for about 5 days nows because I have been experience slight headaches when i wake up as well as a sore neck. For the last 5 days the pillow doesnt seem to have improved the problem and on some days my neck seems stiffer than normal. Is there a transition phase when using a cervical pillow where things get worse before they get better? or should just switch back to normal pillows?
How do these pillows do when you have neck pain on the left side? I am fine during the day but when i go to bed i lay on my right side and that is when the pain begins. Any suggestions.
I slept with my new contour pillow last night, lower end under my head. It was brutal...my neck this morning. I hope it's just because my body has to get used to it. I have DDD and I cannot find any sleeping position that is comfortable for me.
You guys are the cutest! Love your vids. There is a new contour pillow out there, I’d love to hear your feedback on. It’s a little different in the respect that it has a cradle area for your head and a slight slope for your neck leading up to the contour. The pillow is by Rovia Health. Hope you can do a review on that one...seems even better!
I have a ton of kneck and upper shoulder pain. I use the contour pillow, but upside down. It seems to be better for me. One question tho. I ride a sport bike every day. Being in that position all the time, could that be causing a long term problem?
I am not very comfortable for back-sleeping with s contour pillow as the height is a little more higher.. Though it is fine for side sleeping. So I got a thin regular memory foam pillow which is very comfortable..
Try eBay they have many of them for sell I ordered two and I like them very much and I just ordered two more to have a set for each of my beds in the house. Hope that helps.
Hi, you guys! I watch your videos frequently. Thank you for all your good information. My mom has one of those pillows. She will not use it or give it away. It is, I think, one of those embarrassing purchases one makes in life. I did try it once or twice but I think it is rather too low a pillow for my experience. I broke both my shoulders in the past few years and have learned to sleep on my sides rather on my back or stomach.. This pillow is very supportive to your head or neck but somehow I do not feel it is comfortable. Also I have a question. Can someone who has been diagnosed with Osteoporosis be cured of it?

this pillow is good, we also call it high-low pillow, people can choose sleeping side according to personal preference.
The *best ones are adjustable.*
