You guys are amazing. I had this very painful life because of my neck stiffness, I had to eat painkillers but nothing worked physiotherapy sessions helped me but just for a day or two. I started using the right pillows to sleep and now i wake up with no stiffness and living a painfree life. Thank you so much guys you truly are the best. 😇
i have been so happy with the results from this film. every medical youtube video i research i find you guys and watch it. always multiple resolutions and reasons for the need of them. thank you!
This is such a great video. I get terrible backpain, jawpain, neck pain, all from sleeping incorrectly. I've tried rolled up towels, soft pillows, large pillows, small pillows even baby pillows. I have an amazing matress but the pillow I just can't settle on, so the headaches are a common and almost daily issue. I get physio and chiropractic work for my back since I've had a serious accident in the past. It's such a traumatic thing to want to sleep and just not be able to due to pain. I love all your videos in fact!
I have a condition that means I always end up on my stomach , and am constantly in pain in the shoulders and neck area, been doing your exercises for the last few days and its so much better thanks
@@talismanic71 just realised my reply was 2 years ago lol since then I have a herniated disc, so am doing all sorts of exercises. And I always put something between my neck and head when sleeping
At 7:20 is the memory foam pillow, but for people like me with severe Tinnitus, it's acts like a sound suppressor, which means all that one can hear in the ear against the pillow is a loud ringing noise. Tinnitus sufferers need to be able to hear sound in both ears while in bed, but without the masking effects of an external sound device, the ringing at night gets louder, which has a negative impact on sleep.
I have a CORE orthopedic pillow that has a depression in the middle that cradles the head and has the built in roll for the neck with different heights on top and bottom of the pillow so you can have your choice for your neck.

Hi, I start sleeping on my back, but invariably I will sleep on both sides during the night. I don’t think you guys mentioned what type pillow to use in this instant. I also have OSA, and a pinched cervical vertebrae.
What’s your recommendation for a ‘pressure’ buildup in the head when lying down? I am constantly shifting, avoiding pressing my neck etc, because I feel like pressure is building in my head. Also, lying on just one pillow feels too low and also cause the feeling of pressure.
It's tough if you toss and turn all night like I do. I doubt I ever stay in one position for more than half an hour, so pillows are always flying. The last time I got a good night's sleep, Vioxx was still on the market. 😉
Those pillows they sell at the chiropractor offices seem to have the solutions built in you guys are talking about. It’s got the hollow middle with stiffer sides.

I have tried so many pillows. I just bought one from target and thought it was working but I woke up with one. It seems to help with one pillow that’s not high but I need advice.
I moved from sleeping side to sleeping on back and all of sudden I got neck pain....what pillow u recommend for straight sleeper....I have memory foam normal pillow without cervical support...I have shoulder and neck stiffness...
I bought a contour pillow like the one you showed and now I experience more pain in my neck. @patty fran i improved after buying an adjustable bed. i sleep with the head raised a few inches all the time. my own mattress is perfect with it. i chose a model that fit down inside existing bed frame but i like the clean look of none. of course i still sleep with a selection of pillows for joint pain, but the breathing issues improved with the adjustable bed. it was pricey, bought mine end of dec, went on sale mid jan, so look for sale.
