4:56 a poetry collection id reccomend is things you may find hidden in my ear by mosab abu toha. he is a palestinian poet from gaza and documents his lived experiences. def reccomend bc its easy to read and understand his journey and message.
Beloved is really good. It made me think about doing something hard for someone. 'Have I ever done anything hard for someone? What was it?' I like when a book makes me look at myself like that. Thank you for recommending the Angela Davis book, I would really like to read it.
Haven’t read it yet, but it is on my way to me… Rifqa by Mohammed El-Kurd, Palestinian poet. It’s his debut collection of poetry talking about his experiences living in Palestine, ethnic cleansing, and his community dealing with homelessness at the hands of the Israeli government. Not a huge romance reader but whenever I need something light I’ll pick up a graphic novel. I really enjoyed Wash Day Diaries by Jamila Rowser. It follows four black girls in the Bronx and their friendship/sisterhood. Each chapter shows their wash day and self care. Gorgeous artwork!
Theoretical physics in a rom-com, huh? Well I guess after all that Davis and Morrison you needed a break! 👍 Have you had a look at Sayaka Murata's "Earthlings" yet?
