I felt the same regarding ACFTL. I love Evajacks so much that it was hard to NOT give it 5 stars🌟..but I guess what Stephanie was trying to tell us is that there is NO TRUE ENDING for true love because it is continuous. Evajacks don’t have a last page…they just keep on creating memories. That’s my take on it!🥰
12 books in a month!! that’s like a book every 2.5 days!! that’s great haley. I’d love to see a video on how/if reading has changed your life? Do you find yourself sleeping more? on your phone less? communicating better? just any changes it’s made in your life
I highly HIGHLY recommend stormweaver book 1, don’t be discouraged by the cover lol… The second book came out today and it seems really up your sci-fi fantasy alley ;-) I loved it!
Totally agree. Bryce O’Connor is one of my favourite authors and I absolutely devoured Iron Prince. So excited to finish work today so I can start the second book (which I preordered the moment I finished the first book of course). I also highly recommend Child of the Daystar, it’s my favourite book of all time

Best Halloween ever cause Haley posted!! 😊❤️ I'll rec it again lol until hopefully one day you see it: the school for Good and evil. It's an amazing fantasy series, very unique, very fun, the characters are amazing. It centers around two girls who are complete opposites but are best friends and are sent to this magical school for Good and evil.
I’m so glad she felt the same as me with A Curse For True Love!! It’s my favorite series, but the last book just felt slow at the beginning, then went too fast at the end
I finished reading A curse for True Love yesterday and I felt exactly the same as you mention here, in my opinion plotwise was disappointed and kind of predictable but at the same time there were too many things unsolved. I felt sad when I finished it because I had so much expectations with this read. Anyways, I really love your videos!! sending love from Barcelona!
If you loved both Gabrielle Zevin’s books, I highly recommend reading her book Elsewhere!! I read it when I was younger and it was my favorite book for years.
I love watching monthly wrap up's (especially yours Haley!) so I can't wait to sit down and watch this. and reading 12 books in one month is seriously impressive! 💌
Hey! I love watching your videos. As a literature student, I read a lot of classics, but unfortunately because of that, I usually don't read new books or books outside of school work because I can't bring myself to read for school and then for myself as well. This led me to a massive reading crisis where I didn't read anything for over a year just because I wanted to. I read a lot of books, but only for school. But thanks to your videos and your passion for books and reading, I've realized how much I love reading, and while it's still not perfect, I'm trying to navigate much better between reading for school and reading on my own. And after a long time, I'm enjoying it again. Thank you. ♥
Hiii! Okay so if you like the vibes of the "Once Upon a Broken Heart" triology you should definitely read the "Six Crimson Cranes" duology. In my opinion the vibes are quite the same, at least for me while I was reading them they reminded me of each other.
Just signed up for my Book Of The Month subscription!!! Would love to hear a little blurb about your thoughts on the books you've gotten so far if possible!!
I read The Storied Life of AJ Fikry two years ago after just randomly finding it on my shelf, and I LOVED it (aka I read it in two days and cried 🙃) I’m glad you enjoyed it too!
I saw a TikTok video talking about the possibility of Stephanie Garber's next book is about Lala and Chaos is high. The way she hinted something between them in ACFTL AACCCCCKKKK 💓💓🥰
I read A Year of Rest and Relaxation earlier this year and was also SO confused about the true meaning. I didn't know how to react when I finished it and was just like "ok...moving on"
I love these kind of vidios! I I find it so fun to see what you rated these books. Because i genuinely trust your reading recommendations and buy the good books right after!
Read "Tom Lake" and "Pineapple Street" recently as well and loved them both! Agreed - while not super fast-paced, these were both SUPER engaging and perfectly enjoyable. Also read "Piranesi" which is high fantasy/literary fiction/mystery mash up that was absolutely wild and so much fun... couldn't read it fast enough at the end! Took a big risk with that one and really enjoyed it.
Hey Haley I love your videos and your dog so cute omg n that video I like the books you read in October and I loved the idea of you asking strangers about their favorite books and then reading them by the way I’m 11 so yeah I hope you read this comment
"Fire alarm for first day of heater on due to Texas cold front" I RELATE!! Also living in the great state and so excited it's finally cold here!!! Thank you Haley for another amazing video!!
I think Ashley Poston and Emily Henry have the same book agent and possibly the same editor, which would make sense that their style is similar! Or lines up anyway that you enjoy both of their writing!
I just finished reading "Five Survive" by Holly Jackson and I absolutely loved it! and I also finished "AGGGTM" by Holly Jackson and one of the best trilogy I have ever read.
I listened to A.J. Fickry on audio this past summer. I still think about it more than I thought I would. I hope more people give it a try. The audio book was excellent. I'm a new subscriber and have really enjoyed your videos and book recommendations. Thank you!
haley, you’ve sparked a joy that i have for reading books. i recently went through a book slump and you got me out of that (thank goodness 😅) you’re so amazing at what you do. thank you for all of your book videos. it might be too much to ask, but if at all possible will you answer one question. how do you set up notion the way you have it for books. i saw it in a previous video and can’t figure out how you set that up. have a blessed day!
as soon as you said she started writing Throne of Glass when she was a teenager I immediately added it to my TBR bc I know it is going to be filled with overdramatic angst
Haley please you need to read Jane Austen pride and prejudice its a book that made my interest in romance . It's not that spice one it's a simple book but something that will always be in your mind like a happy memories.
Amazing way to relax(book reccomendation, you should try reading a Sherlock book or Russiaan Roulette, Kill Aldx Rider. PS. These books might be out of your comfort zone)
I love Renee Carlino, and Swear on This Life is one of my favorite romances! Also, I rec The Butterfly Project by Emma Scott for an emotional, sweet romance (w/ a happy ending), that's got that cozy holiday NYC feeling. It's one of my top faves!
I read two of those last month too! Tom Lake, amazing. And The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches which I could not remember the title to but is super cute.
I read the dead romantics this October too!!! I feel the exact same way about it.. the beginning and middle are slowww but the last 75 ish pages were good! I gave it 2.75 stars 😬😂
I say this every time someone recommends my girl Gabby Zev, and I will say it again, YOU HAVE TO READ TEENAGE AMNESIAC by her ! its so good! if you love a good sad angsty teen romance you will LOVE it!!
Hey Haley I'm a person who loves reading books as well so can I give u a recommendation this book is called loveless u might have heard of it and it's so good. It's a book abt a girl being asexual and aromatic like I'm just on Pg 50 and I'm already obsessed with the book and I cried two times
I think Stephanie's writing got worse after Caraval. It went from a really whimsical story telling writing to a "booktok/texting style" writing super fast. Her world and stories are great, I just hate the writing. I won't be picking up her Once upon a broken heart series anytime soon. I just hate the tropes in there though I trust her to write in a way that isn't too frustrating. Also I hate that she doesn't give enough closures with favorite characters. Like scarlet and julien. They went through a whole journey yet at the end, no satisfying epilogue with those two. Instead we get a set up for her next book. I get it though. I think like you said she didn't know how to end it. You can tell that she kinda runs out of story lines lol. So i treat her books as standalong because there is so many questions that goes unanswered if you start to connect each books
I HAD THE SAME REACTION TO ACOTL YES but I think maybe the waiting for the last book ruined, maybe reading everything together would have made it better Like the last book seems just 3 chapters of the 2° book to wrapp it up and not a book of it’s one But is still amazing ( SPOILER: Lala and curse is my next obsession)
i read 1 book in a mental hospital for the first time in years it was like 400 pages and took me a month lol but i actually enjoyed it im thinking of going to a book store and finding a book to read now i’m out on my own would love to see if anyone has any recommendations if someone sees this haha
Have you read Pride and Prejudice? I read it this year and LOVED it!!!! Would love to have a review! Also another no spice romance recommendation video!!
Since you loved P&P I highly recommend the Fitzwilliam Darcy; Gentleman series by Pamela Aiden. It's P&P from Darcy's viewpoint and it's written so Austenesque you'd swear she actually wrote them.
I had a strange dream of reading this book called Heroes Aren't Everything. it was stories of heroes fallen, betrayed and cast aside. it was pretty interesting. (edit: it's not a real book that exists, though i wish it was). though... i do like writing stories, and i now have a lot of free time on my hands. i could possibly make it reality, at least similar. maybe a sequel to the first book i'm currently working on? that'd be cool, i'm gonna go write these ideas down.
Haley is one of the few booktubers that I genuinely enjoy watching every single video!! She never bores me 😊🩵 Much love from India
I agree her videos are so good ❤
Sameeee I love her so much
Same, she is the best at explaining and reviewing books!!
Same. Totally agree with this comment 💯‼️
And she doesn't spoil anything 😊
If you like whimsical books, you'd probably like The Night Circus. That is THE DEFINITION of whimsical fantasy.
I loved that book.
i am obsessed with that book
She read it already and mentioned she didn't really enjoy it. (That was in her all the books she read in a year video (her first year of reading one)
I felt the same regarding ACFTL. Was anyone else staring at Spock while she was telling us her ratings 😂❤️ love him !
I was!

A.J. Fikry is an absolute delight. Loved the book.

FINALLY! A monthly wrap-up from the queen!❤❤❤
Your video feels like a comfort place for me
t his was such a fun and cozy vid! also reading 12 books in a month??? thats a crazy achievement! good job!!
I totally agree with you on ACFTL! I also felt like there was a lot missing- many characters who didn't get closure & plot points.
Hey! I love watching your videos. AAAAAHHH the throne of glass series is SO GOOD! I'm reading the last book right now and it's amazing!
I hope you’re finishing throne of glass!!! The last two in the series go so hard 😢
Hey Haley baby!!!! I love your videos and can’t wait for Christmas books 😁😁😁
Hiii! Okay so if you like the vibes of the "Once Upon a Broken Heart" triology you should definitely read the "Six Crimson Cranes" duology. In my opinion the vibes are quite the same, at least for me while I was reading them they reminded me of each other.

I read The Storied Life of AJ Fikry two years ago after just randomly finding it on my shelf, and I LOVED it (aka I read it in two days and cried 🙃) I’m glad you enjoyed it too!
You know it's a good day when Haley uploads❤️
I saw a TikTok video talking about the possibility of Stephanie Garber's next book is about Lala and Chaos is high. The way she hinted something between them in ACFTL AACCCCCKKKK 💓💓🥰
I read A Year of Rest and Relaxation earlier this year and was also SO confused about the true meaning. I didn't know how to react when I finished it and was just like "ok...moving on"
Same I DNFed it cuz I couldn’t understand the stream of consciousness writing style
I love these kind of vidios! I I find it so fun to see what you rated these books. Because i genuinely trust your reading recommendations and buy the good books right after!

Another one of Ann Patchett’s books, The Dutch House, has an audiobook that’s narrated by Tom Hanks and it’s absolutely amazing!

So many great recommendations!! I can't wait to read the Dead Romantics because it sounds so interesting
If you like time traveling love story try "Oona Out of Order"! It's an amazing twist on this genre. Amazing! ( Not totally a romance but a love story)
Amazing way to relax(book reccomendation, you should try reading a Sherlock book or Russiaan Roulette, Kill Aldx Rider. PS. These books might be out of your comfort zone)
NEW HALEY VIDEOOOOO!!!!! ❤
Loved AJ Fikry. Read it years ago and it's one of my all time favorites!
I love Renee Carlino, and Swear on This Life is one of my favorite romances! Also, I rec The Butterfly Project by Emma Scott for an emotional, sweet romance (w/ a happy ending), that's got that cozy holiday NYC feeling. It's one of my top faves!

I watch your videos while I read. Love you so much.
LOVE YOU HALEY!!!!
The Stories Life of AJ Fickery was a great book. I apparently love the niche genre of books about books about rare books.
Always love watching videos Haley!! GBU ❤❤❤❤
ahh love your book vidoes :)))
it’s monthly wrap up season😌📚🫶🏼
I have to say that the Moshfeigh book was like 6 stars for me because it was relatable.
There's a 4th book to the good girls guide to murder series, its called Kill Joy
Thanks for the insight! I should check some of these out!
Your hair looks amazing ❤
Literally took my thoughts on ACFTL and said them out loud. I was soooooo excited with anticipation so my disappointment was intense 😢
I am getting five survive and killjoy for my birthday so exited 🫶
I know it is a book video but girl the hair is on fire today ❤
I read the dead romantics this October too!!! I feel the exact same way about it.. the beginning and middle are slowww but the last 75 ish pages were good! I gave it 2.75 stars 😬😂
in a curse for true love did anyone understand how eva was able to kiss jacks? i felt like there was no explanation for it
I say this every time someone recommends my girl Gabby Zev, and I will say it again, YOU HAVE TO READ TEENAGE AMNESIAC by her ! its so good! if you love a good sad angsty teen romance you will LOVE it!!

The Storied Life....is a retelling of Silas Marner by George Elliot. Did no one else read that in school?

Haley! Do you have kindle unlimited for your kindle or do you just buy your books directly onto your kindle? I’m wondering if it’s worth investing in
Have you read Pride and Prejudice? I read it this year and LOVED it!!!! Would love to have a review! Also another no spice romance recommendation video!!
