I bought the pattern, and I’m making a quilt to be used as a tablecloth. I trimmed the skinny, leftover strips to 2.5”, and they will be an extra border outside of a skinny black border. Love this pattern for this purpose!

I just bought this pattern for a lap quilt. Wish you had shown the whole thing being made though. I'm new to quilting so leary about starting my second quilt with this pattern and my fat quarter fabric I bought. :'(
I'm working on this as my second ever quilt. Overly ambitious... Anyways I'm doing well with the cutting and sewing but concerned about the quilting because I don't have the ability to do free motion quilting yet. Stitch in the ditch wouldn't look verb good with this. What can I do?! I thought about doing just straight lines all the way across or maybe the wavy straight line stitch? Any advice would be great!
I have just started quilting also, I have been practicing my free motion quilting. I am not very good yet so I have sent mine to a place that can do it for me. When I get better I will do it my self. 🙂
The pattern was not free. The store is no longer open but I went on Etsy and purchased a B pattern. I really like the idea of doing this because it is easier and I am a newbie as well
I tried to go to the website she says to go to but it just takes me to a white page and on google it doesn’t have a website tab like every other site. 😢 I do need this pattern.

I would do my best to cut so the strip sets so the scraps cleaned up could be 2.5” wide and use them for a border.

Can I make this using a layer cake? Will there be a lot of wastage?
Some of the piecex are 10½" and a layer cake is 12" square.
You would need to resize all the piecez.
