I do believe on God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I also believe in my right to bear arms and protect myself and family if need be, and have the right to provide me with food should I need to.

Hi Tami! Good video! I see my daughter in this one. She was a pudgy little girl. My narc ex, their father, made her feel bad about it by his comments even though her pediatrician told him not too. I hate what he did to me and my kids and I feel guilty that I married him and now they have problems because of it. But on the other hand I'm so grateful I have them, its a real catch 22, I'm still working on forgiving myself but I probally never will. ✌💕
So, I just talked to a good friend of mine about this very issue. Self forgiviness... another very hard subject. I think sometimes it is harder for us to forgive ourselves then to forgive others. I have issues that I had to forgive mysel over, we all do. When looking for a mate we didnt have handbooks that told us about narcs, nope! We had no clue they were even out there. No warning signs till it was simply too late.
I know for a fact that your kids forgive you and love you, unforgiviness for even ourselves reflects sometimes in the way we act, maybe over overcompensating, or self hate.
My Dear Carrie Jo, ...self love and self forgiveness goes hand in hand! Do you believe in Yah ( God ) or a higher power? If so..who are you not to forgive yourself, if the Creator has forgiven you, this is a question I had to ask myself, and still do whenever I feel guilt over something like this when our kids are involved. My daughter was not an easy child, My dear grandma told me when my daughter was just 2...Tami if you surivive that child you will survive anything.. being 36, I had survivied some very hard things my life by then, and my granny knew it..she way right!! Did I have anything to do with my daughter issues?? Yes.. kids dont come with owners manual! And if they did, there would have to be one written for each and ever child and they would all be different, as every kid is so unique in their own way! You were meant to be their mom!

i have to agree with you that it all starts from our family on a lot of our disabilities. im fat and my parents still tell fat jokes in front of me or to me or cut out articles on dieting and give them to me, these are not moral boosters. here is a perfect example without knowing the damage you are doing to someone else, i called up my dad last night to ask a question and he gives it to me and we have a small discussion and right in the middle of it he says well the news is on, ok so finish the story what happen and all he could think about was watching the news so i he said something that just hit me the wrong way and i said well if you dont ever want to talk to me just say so and ill quit calling and then he said no i enjoy it when you call, and i say it doesnt seem like it because every time i call you, you seem to be to busy to talk he always has an excuse. so when all your life is like that you as a person is always going to have self doubt and angry issues, you want to lash out at others but you still want to be nice because you dont want to treat others like you have been treated. i have always tried very hard to treat others with kindness even when i am pissed off. most people can see or hear that i am trying to be nice when pissed and leave it alone while some actually keep talking to calm me down and they do. so all i try to do is enjoy life and not have people piss me off. i hope you have a great day.
You know, first I thank you for sharing that with us. I know sometimes its hard for people like us to share. My abuse when on till my mother passed on, so sad but true. I spent years trying NOT to piss others off, but it made me miserable. See we tend to go the other way then our parents where. Your kind and tolerate mean people, where we as the people our parents were suppost to love deeply, did give us that.
I knew we had a lot in common, now I know why i felt connected to you from the start. Your comment made me want to reach out and hug you, ...
And I dont think anyone is fat, thick is a word my dear Grandma who raised me use to use, I think it id fitting. I can tell you one thing, I love cake!! and when I starved myself, if I ever ever cheated and ete soemthing, it was cake, so the old saying..like a fat kid loves cake...well that is me!
