hello, this is literally the first youtube video that i have ever commented on lol idk why i felt the need to say that but i am not diagnosed with anorexia just because my family does not see doctors much lol but my anorexia was very severe and i feel like not being diagnosed almost made it worse because i felt as though this was "normal". ive gotten help by watching videos like these and talking to my mom and journaling. I can totally relate to you on how you feel like youve lost your identity. Its really hard to let go of anorexia. I dont know about you but i ate extremely small amounts of food for hours. I would take up to 3 hours to finnish a tiny meal. Its the part of anorexia that people forget about, the part that takes away your friends and talents. I used to paint and write and sing but i started spending all my time planning meals and then eating them. Im going to start getting back into my talents though because they are things that made me happy. I dont know if you are artistic but i highly recommend starting a sketch book! theyre great for letting go of unwanted emotions and its all private to yourself so if you dont want anyone to see then they wont! and its a talent that anyone can have with pracitce. Oh my gosh I didn’t even realise you were from Germany! Your English is so amazing, I mean you don’t have like a European accent if you get what I mean it sounds like it’s just your first language😮😮 I’m from the UK and we have Lidl too but ours doesn’t have the cool milky flavours just the normal boring ones, I wish it had the collage one ☹️ love your recovery videos so glad I found your channel😊😊
Hey Lauren, thanks! ❤️ My family and I lived abroad for a while, maybe that's why. However, I do realize I still make mistakes now and then... oh well! Oh my god, I love the UK!! My sister lives there with her boyfriend. But too bad you don't have the all the milka flavors :(
I’m having a hard time with excepting my current body bc honestly I don’t have anything else more pleasing than being thin not skeletal but on a thinner side but my body fights back and it’s very upsetting As 45 year old with no career and older kids I’m feeling like I have nothing to look forward to or don’t have any exciting or not exciting goals and nothing seems appealing to even start ... it sounds really sad and boring but at least being thin used to give me some kind of confidence and I liked myself but now I feel like I’m suck in a pile of dirt and can’t get myself out of it I have no energy to do anything
Hey Lena, yeah, I can definitely relate to some of the things you say... I know it's hard! But maybe look at the brighter side of things, your kids for example... they probably give you a lot of strenghth and happiness in life, don't they? And als 45 is rather young in today's day and age, so there's still plenty of time to explore something new you might like! Much love, I believe in you ❤️❤️
You are like the cutest person, honestly 💕 And yet again I totally relate to that, I feel really anxious about letting go of my ED, because of the the same reasons-I think then I am just part of the majority again. But I think you are so right about finding something new that you are passionate about might be the best and most helpful to do in terms of distracting to recover xx Emily😏🤣💕

Why don't we have milka in Canada? (Or at least my part of Canada) those look so yummy. Also why don't we have New York Cheesecake Kit Kat? We have some super yummy flavors like Tiramisu Kit Kat but cheesecake! (Insert the Homer Simpson drooling sounds) As for buying extra things etc.. we can't stop you. It's part of being an adult. Pick "X" number of items per week to buy that's not part of your grocery list. Remind yourself that item will be there next week/month and you can get it there.

Oh and about the buying 'problem', the thing is that most of the things I want are actually limited editions... so I always get scared they will be gone before I come around to buying them (e.g. the pb cookies, kit kats, tiramisu rice puddings... all limited editions :( ). However, I do exaggerate a bit... I still save around 50% of my income each month haha
