@@1Rooster338 that's awesome! My first bug was a white 65 with a sunroof, all original and ran great, that I got for 500 bucks! I 100% regret letting that go! But I'm hoping to add an early 60s bug ,maybe next year! 😎🤟
@@tiyukitv6508 Thank you, I appreciate it! Yes the old air cool V-dubs are pretty awesome! I have Luna, a Bus and a dune buggy I'll be doing a video on soon, plus something else in the works! So stay tuned! 👍🙂
One of these days I’d like to see one of my old vw’s pop up. More specifically the camper or the full custom bug that it traded for the camper. Glad you got Luna going with little effort and $$ spent.
@@siphamandlagiftmbewu8081 thank you for you comments, I appreciate it! I don't know if there are electric window motors small enough to fit it the door of a bug. The doors are no more than about 2 inches thick. Honestly I never even thought about it, but you do have me curious. I will have to do some research. As far as the LED headlights, I'm sure that would be easy enough on a 12v bug. If you had a 1966 or older that had not been update from the original 6v system it might be a bigger challenge. I have some electrical issues, specifically with the lights to resolve yet, but once I do so I just may look into updating the lights on Luna. I think that would look really good on her. However, on my next bug I'm hoping to get an early 60s and I will be keeping it more original. 🙂👍
Just to follow up....you absolutely can get electric windows for your bug! Like I said, I hadn't even thought about it. Mainly because a bug is pretty narrow and I can reach the window crank on the passenger side pretty easily. But my fiance doesn't have the long monkey arms that I do! Lol So I might think about getting them for Luna, but it will have to wait until I get some other priorities worked out. I promise that if I do add electric windows, I will most definitely do a video on it. But I hope you will watch my other videos and enjoy them as well! 🙂
please try the jumer cable. then you can put a gound strap from the block to the chassis. see how it runs different every time you start it? cause the 2 endfs of the 'y' where the motor mounts , starting it twists the connerction and gets a grund but once you drive it a ways. tHE GROUND WILL GET BAD AND THE MOTOR WILL DIE.
your probably going to say. Oh it can't be that, whats wrong is the engin hs lost its ground. To prove this to yourself just put a jumper cablefrom the neg battery post to like the base of the distributor clamp. see if then it runs fine.
@@junqtaylor5652 I won't say anything like it can't be this or that. I appreciate any input and information! I agree that the ground could be causing problems for me and infact I think that is probably a big problem on my dune buggy as well! I'm definitely guilty of forgetting to make sure my ground is good! I'll be the first to admit I'm not a pro mechanic and everything I do is trial and error, emphasis on the error! Lol So I definitely appreciate any good tips or reminders like yours, thank you! I hope you enjoy my videos and I'll do another update on Luna soon but I'll be on the dune buggy next and the bus soon and I have a big project coming very soon so stay tuned! 👍😉
Nice bug. i just bought a '74 super beetle after 35 years since my last. Getting restored now. Can't wait to post pics. Thanks GBS Kerrville, TX

Keep the vids coming.
I'd also love to see a video on LED headlights conversion for a bug
Is it possible to put universal electric windows motor in a bug and if so, can you do a video on that
