@@VinOptimaxxx How are they not turning a profit when One has been around since 2011 and their roster and demography has only ever increased? Not to mention they're constantly giving out bonuses to their fighters. It's not hard to stay afloat when their demography's currency is a lot cheaper than USD.
@@marshallmaia8130 they've posted significant losses every year. The official line is that currently they're all in on investment to increase market share with a view to being profitable in a couple of years. No idea if that's the truth or there's something dodgy going on.
@@marshallmaia8130they reported more than $100million in losses for 2021, to combine for $300million in debt. I don't know if that has turned around since.
Never in my life have i ever seen anybody be so humble, graceful, or respectful when winning... Mikey is a different breed.. there is nothing more to say.

@@erebody ref did what he was told. One's stalling call is completely bogus though. What's the point you work for the back to get stood up?? This is how a real grappling exchange, even a real fight goes. Brookes was completely f***ed when mikey had the back

Lol, it is pretty ridiculous. Imagine having a grappling match where you're not allowed to spend too much time on the ground, despite the fact that you're in a dominant position going for a submission 😂 IT'S GRAPPLING!!! THAT"S THE ENTIRE POINT!!
I could understand if Mikey was holding a lockdown position and just stalling... but he was literally in the best grappling position you can put yourself in and he was working hard to get the sub. What a joke.
Yeah, thankfully Mikey redeemed it by getting another sub, regardless. Can you imagine if it went to the judge's decision or if somehow Brooks got the sub in the end? Honestly, it really makes me skeptical of watching ONE grappling matches.

I swear these casual fans ruin everything and combat broadcasters keep trying to pander to these audiences. That why Judo is reduced to half a grappling art with little to no ground work. Cause people wanna see "mOre aCtiOn" like go watch basketball or something if you can't handle what real combat looks like. Children. Honestly.
Oh My God, the Ref assist. The ref shifted Mikey’s weight right onto Brooks. The ring is the WORST setting for a grappling match but with all that said, Mikey is simply AMAZING on the ground. His awareness of leverage and positioning is straight up world-class! Big Props Mickey!!!
It was a symptom of the ring, I don’t think the ref did that purposefully. It was either they spill out the cage and have to reset/lose momentum or finish the catch right there. There’s only 10 minutes and they have to push the action and finish.
The ring just isn’t great for grappling, cage works great
Jared was the one trying to push Mikey out of the ring so you can't blame mickey or the refs, Jared just got a free pass out of back control a few moments before that so you can't say the refs were bias.
I totally agree. The ring is totally inappropriate for MMA and grappling. I haven't watched One for a good while now because they've began doing the ring exclusively and I just don't like it.

Mikey's transitions are absolutely elite. Brooks ain't no easy match. From the ankle, to the neck and BOOM, he's on the arm. Dude is like glue! Great match besides a few untimely calls by the Ref. Thanks One!

Love what ONE is doing for grappling, hope more BJJ stars sign with them
If they can get all the ADCC superstars, that'd be really awesome. For now they already had Mikey, Ruotolo brothers, Garry Tonon, Aoki, Imanari etc... Which is already a handful of elite grapplers in their roster
I think Mikey's main goal in all these fights is that at the end of the fight you shake hands and a bit of a hug between competitors and smile hehe

That might have been the worst ref stand up I've ever seen. Mikey is in an earned dominant position and actively working toward the sub and the ref just gifts Brooks a neutral standing restart...

He won with an armbar. The reverse triangle wasn't the finish, it was just trapping Brooks.

Im not going to lie mikey musumeci is not mt crowd of people,but the pure evil when he fights,how skilled he is,how brutal,the sheer talent and techniques he has,its unmatched honestly it will make anybody not stereotype a "nerd"with any attitude i rate this man 100%.
Mikey has amazing ground game but I do hope he focuses a bit more on his wrestling

@@PheseantNetsuke he's dominating for sure, and I know the rule set doesn't prioritize wrestling, but it won't hurt his ground game at all to include a stronger wrestling game into it, it'll most likely improve his ground skills even further actually. But that is just my opinion

How attacking the legs opens up the opponents upper body for attacks, and how attacking the upper body opens up the lower limbs for attacks.

The ref pulled Mikey off the ropes at the wrong time , he’s in the middle of clinching a submission and the ref practically tightens the angle to finish the tap .
What is that opening stance? Feeding the single leg to the opponent? Just for a mousetrap guard pull I suppose, it’s like donkey guard in reverse maybe? Confusion intensifies.
