Not about good or bad ending when you took that E tank. It was framing you are one of the bad guys. You are there just to get the metroid, no other reason.
Nice run, didn't know if you were going to make it in the end. Don't hate me for the loops, believe it or not I actually removed a bunch of them in the final version, lol.

you missed the secret mario themed world ;) thing is creepier than hell! its in the "ridley" lair your were messing around in at the 3 hour mark. its hidden toward the top portion of the map somewhere and awards you a temporary energy tank that disappears if you die. but yeah, its honestly kind of disturbing to explore lol. i was completely creeped out by it!

The ending however... suddenly we are on Zebes, and Dawn has refused to turn the metroid larva over to Ridley... But there WERE metroids on Zebes, the pirates were working on a breeding program, they did NOT fail to acquire them. Ridley only goes after the larva on Ceres because by that point Samus has driven them to extinction. So, did Dawn simply not know that the larva she had was not the only one?
She gives the capsule to Ridley after returning to Zebes but she takes a Metroid sample for herself and splits just as Samus is approaching. That's just before Metroid 1 starts.
The thing about the DMCAs with AM2R, though... From my understanding, if they don't protect their copyright, then they lose ground in court later for much more egregious infringements. I doubt they had any ill will towards the devs or the players.
She was called Dawn Aran if I'm not mistaking, implying it's the same person except it was the space pirates who took her in as a child instead of the Chozo. Pretty cool concept
Is this game using the actual NES source code? This game is very technical for being a NES game. Having a real time map, slopes that Samus can travel over (as simple as that is, calculating now characters move over slopes is weirdly advanced for old games), and the large character and environment pallet.
So rogue dawn, is like a visit to SR 388 before metroid 1, for both the Space pirates and for the federation. Unless they had set up a habitat for the metroids, in the form of the BIOS station.

AM2R was a work built from the ground up using assets derived from Nintendo IP which is not protected by fair-use legal code. ROM hacks like the one you played here are modifications of the original game, which is protected under the terms of fair-use. Nintendo can not DMCA strike the maker of this hack nor you for playing it.

Unless it's a common name in the Federation, the Smith or Jones equivalent. There's no evidence that Samus had a sister, and her mother's name is Virginia, so certainly a mystery. The fact that she can use Chozo gear is significant though, particularly the Morph Ball as we know the pirates still hadn't worked that one out even after the first Mother Brain was destroyed.

It's neat you can still get lost even with a map. As much as some fans may think, there is an appeal in getting lost. I can admit the original Metroid went too far but I think this hack found a good compromise between having a map and still trying to figure out what to do. It's sort of like Lost Woods from _Legend of Zelda_ or those mazes from _Adventure_ for the A2600 but on a bigger scale. I bet Super Metroid hacks can do something similar. Is there a SM hack out there like this because this is an improvement.
Streaming is easy, the hard part is finding viewers and maintaining the entertainment. Also requires a decent internet connection. Otherwise, you aren't going to get views because no one wants to watch 240p content or 144p content.

That bug was fixed in version 1.21, you keep the E-Tank

Rogue Dawn is supposed to be a prequel to NEStroid/Zero Mission, not Super Metroid.

Go to Rom Hacking Dot Net. Get an IPS patcher program, the ROM and the patch.
You can use an emulator, after patching the rom, to play it on your pc. I actually got it to run on my NES Classic Edition.
