Why do people think the ball rolls along the rubber? The ball sticks to the rubber and has a small contact point then comes off. If you look at all the slow motion videos of contact the ball only contacts for a split second then gets pushed off. The reason for contacting the ball at the leading edge is because you get more acceleration at the leading edge versus trailing edge of the racquet. Not because the ball rolls along........

Use a cleaner to clean your rubbers, then serving, you'll see balls leave some 1-2cm marks on your serving rubber depending on spin & how you brush the balls. Thats common sense when you can serve like Fang in the vid. Your points is correct with no spin/ fast serves though.

This concept is imaging or think process or describe method that make a thing that you want.
      ..
The thing you think and real one are not the same such as
you want to make backhand drive in the table so you want swing racket horizontal but real thing you make is a bit upward .
      ..
Thus if you want swing horizontal from this you should adjust your swing a bit downward then you real swing is real horizontal.
      ..
From example , your sentation is a little bit downward but the real thing is horizontal.
      ..
Like think a ball roll along the rubber -> it just a concept that make more spin than think it not rolling.
      ..
This is think method to make thing you want

Because they are missing physics elementary school knowledge lol. This always makes me laugh and yet you can probably see it in every tt channel on youtube.

@@botao4456 First of all, you will never see 2cm mark with your serve. Second, 1-2cm is possible on the trailing edge as well, so you are basically missing the point as this is still not "rolling the rubber" anyhow.

@@botao4456 I clean my rubber all the time. There are no skid marks.

I wonder if some tables have more grip than others

Yes there are rutsch table and stop tables as dang qiu also said. So basically tables where tha ball slides and stops a little more when a backspin ball bounces. This is quite a big difference for pros but also amateurs. The hardness of the floor also has an impact on how high the ball bounces.

Like other post already said. Why do these coaches always like to add bullshit into tutorials. not only it’s untrue, it makes things more confusing. The ball doesn’t fucking roll through the whole racket. It doesn’t matter if it’s hit near the bottom or top edge. There will be more than enough space.
