If you have text file with hundreds millions 1's and 0's what basically happens when you zip them The computer calculates how many 0's and 1's you've got and he creates a table 0 = 81248128481248 1 = 10250120510012 and than when you extract it the computer reads this data which makes the CPU cache memory overflow, same goes to RAM and than will result in slow performance/shutdowns. Back in 2008 when facebook was kinda new, I used to send the exact same message as millions 1's and 0's and back than if you sent it to someone you crash their website. it couldn't handle that much data. nowadays computers got much stronger and more robust. So it was cool back in the day but if you really want to make this work on a new PC might wanna try filling about 1 million text files with 0's and 1's and than it MIGHT only MIGHT be causing issues. Nostalgia bomb if anything :P

I don't know much but what they do is, If you got the right size and knew how to make it right it will make windows defender overload the pc it self, Windows defender will detect the zip bomb and start extracting it ( for some reason ) to delete it, And yeah that will pretty much overload the pc and take all the disk space and while the Anti-virus is busy u can sneak up some viruses more effectively
The page file is a portion of disk space your pc dedicates to act as ram. It's like a megaslow version of ram that's used to prevent program/system crashes when the ram is maxed out

What i don't understand, is what's the point of zip bomb, how do they even work(READ BELOW TO UNDERSTAND WHY I THINK THIS) People make zip bombs by nesting multiple zip files inside zip files to make the size bigger much faster, but also MAINLY because it will prevent scanners to check for malware since those apparently don't check that deep inside. Now, unzipping a zip file does not unzip the other zip files that are nested inside the original zip file. So, we'd have to manually extract each zip file to reach the main hidden content that is supposed to take up a lot of space. ALSO: People can preview what's inside a zip file. Regardless of if they see suspicious things or not, they can preview the zip file, and even the zip files nested inside the original zip file(if that zip bomb is designed like that) and can see what's really hidden. So, my question is how would that even work? Because People can preview the zip file before extracting it, and even if they do extract it, the zip files nested inside the original zip file still remain unzipped until manually zipped SOMEONE REPLY?!

There are ways to improve the method of how to create a Zip Bomb, most of them are well known of course, but some might not be that way, I got a PDF, I found it somewhere on the Internet, I don't really know where, it's just a 9 page document on how to make a so called "Better Zip Bomb" which in fact is just a thesis on how to improve the well known format for the common Zip Bombs, hit me up if you'd like to know more about it.
I think the problem is you are not recursively extracting the files. If I'm not mistaken, the "funny" happens when you scan it with an antivirus as it will open and load the contents into ram to analyze them recursively which messes up the pc. The method shown in TH-cam is decent but doing it manually is a pain. Make a large file that by itself is a few gigabytes, copy it a few times, like 10-15 times and zip it, then make copies of the zip file and zip them into another folder. Rinse and repeat untill you have enough. If you want to make the file more efficiently, it's better to use a script and to use a heavier character like special Unicode characters
