I actually disagree, since him showing the way how it is done also means that you learn how to avoid it or have an understanding of how such things can happen. He also explains the ways to reduce such threats.
question: how much of the internet protocols do you use in your daily routine as a network engineer? i studied some of them in college and dang, there's a lot of protocols dude
About that "unplug ur router for 10 seconds" you should mention that will ONLY work if you have a dynamic ip. It wont help if your router uses static ip. You cannot get it changed unless if you get another router or call their support number
discord has not patched this yet. I did this on a friend a few years back, and it was really funny. A couple weeks ago, I tried the same thing on him cuz he forgot, and it still worked. Thanks discord lmao
You just made a botnet very clear to me now lol 😅. Like I’m just horrible honestly,… I remember knowing computers were being taken over but I imagined it in a school scenario…because Im still in school. Like a classroom being taken over and using all the PCs. My school has some lab rooms like that where it’s like 35 PCs. But yea the main part that didn’t click was the virus part, where it’s something being sent to you over the internet and now you have no control and are being used. I remember learning about zombies too at the time and confused them
Great video as always ty I really have learned a great deal I joined the skool but I'm waiting for your approval ty again please don't stop doing video tyyyyyy ❤

Dude, your contents are so amazing and I actually check your channel everyday to see if you got new post cause I'm learning alot. Also is there any chance I could talk to you like on mails? or discord.😂 Again, nice content.
your content is amazing really, i discovered your account while i was trying to do some wargames on overthewire and i learned a lot, would you mind doing some videos on port exploitation or something?(even with some tools like nmap)
Nice! Could you please tell me what courses should I take? I searched and found that I need to learn some programming languages and some linux and network stuff plus reverse engineering for some reason. Is that really what should I do? Or is there any easier way to learn cyber security?
If you're being ddossed cleaning your computer wont fix it change your ip address by shutting down your router for 5-10 minutes and turning it back on.
@@realzguardian you missed the point entirely. Good job. In case you missed what I wrote in plain simple understandable text. Your device being apart of a botnet is a form of DDOS cause your connection will be utterly abysmal while in use it just wont make your router shut down.
Awsome vid! Is there any way that you could make a video on how to code a multi tool windows 11 that are all about finding ip's and masking your own. Thanks for the vid man.
actually your bandwidth is the capacity of the network. the maximum data that can be transmitted over the network. what you explained as bandwidth is data rate - 50 mb/s , 1gb/s, etc…
there is no danger of your ip being pulled if you have a dynamic ip address then your ip address will probably change every month and most routers in the world have ddos protection and ip address geolocation is NEVER accurate and you can literally change your ip by just shutting down your router for 5-10 minutes and turning it back on
My ISP is nice give me a brand new IP address every single time my router restarts :) Also My IP says it’s somewhere nowhere near me that’s actually great that I’m not getting doxxed
DDOS is a DISTRIBUTED denial of service, meaning you need a bunch of computers, ideally as distributed and diverse as possible. A DOS is just one computer from one location. So the explanation is a bit off. Not a big problem.
Its hard to not download random things if games are expensive vpns are expensive everything u do on pc is pretty much paid and even downloafing documentarys and pictures are also random its like u need to live in a cave to not do it
Most routers are going to have all ports closed by default tho so won't this just prevent the vast majority of ddos attacks? You can't even ping a router unless its specifically got a port open.
how come when i test my internet speed with an internet speed test it says i have 750 megabits per second but when im downloading things (for example, a mariokart wii iso for an emulator ) it says its at 20 kilobytes per second
QoS from your isp, serveur hardware & limit (bandwidth/disk), serveur location (distance impact ping impacting internet speed), and maybe your disk speed. (+ other factors that idk)

I don’t get your point? He legit is teaching us methods to protect ourselves
for me my friend always boot me with his nightmare stresser for like 30sec "to see if it works" it always works :(
Perfect, clearly explained, complete, I can't wait for part 3 !
very important guys, go in your router settings and disable uPnp too, if enabled it allows to enter inside your router (and network) very very quickly
I am a network engineer, and this was a pretty basic summary of what network security would like like

it's the isp, not the router
Most of new router have dynamic ip now

As another tip if you're getting ddosed it is also best to clean your device('s) cause they may be infected with a botnet.
If you're being ddossed cleaning your computer wont fix it change your ip address by shutting down your router for 5-10 minutes and turning it back on.

one thing he forgot to mention about stoping a ddos attack by turning off your router. this only works depending on your isp and your plan

People with dynamic IPs will get a new IP address after rebooting their router, people with static IPs will not.
