  • Some kind of monster.......
    This bike turned out great, better than I could have dreamed for. Everything is gone through, replaced, upgraded and everything was done to make this a very special motorcycle. I choose not to put any power upgrades on the bike, since I think anyone should be able to drive it, and its quick as it is.
    Make sure to watch the second part for a walk around.
    Thanks for watching.

    Aye this is pretty. Just rebuilt a 425 (little brother to the 1100). Picked up a 1100 for 300 bucks a few months ago, wanting to do something like this in the near future with it. Thanks for the post!

    Looks like you have mikuni cv carbs like my gs850. Hoe much of a pain was it to tune thise for pod filters and exhaust?

    I love it! You have a template on the fabrication of the rear ferring!?

      Thanks! The fairing was a one off for just that bike. I should have taken a mould of it! So sorry, no template.

      @@derekv275 CAD=Cardboard Aided Design is always a good start. After you get a good basic shape, lines, length, width all that, then you gotta decide fiberglass or metal? I made one in steel first, but didn't get it right, so I went with high density foam and fiberglass. Depending on what you're comfortable working with. Important thing I'd to have a clear idea in your head, and most important thing is to just get started, just start playing and have fun.

    Wasn't this motor a 1000, 8v head, and the 1100 16v also called TSCC, twin swirl comb.chamber
    The tank looks like it came from the 1100 but the motor seems 1000

      Ahh this is the G shaft driven bike, I remember the E chain driven, the superbike king of it era, then the Ninja900 came and wiped them out.

    But do I have to strip it down to do the seat fabrication?😬

    • @askeviksurf
      @askeviksurf  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There shouldn't be much you need to move. Brake lights, rear blinkers and a few wires. You do need to chop some of the frame. But you could just repaint those sections, since it's mostly hidden by the new seat and cowl anyway. Good luck

      Gasless is fine, just a bit more grinding and sanding. Happy chopping and let us know how you go.
