Hard to find info on k tune v1.2 online, how many base maps are available for the 8th Gen si? Do they eliminate the rev hang problem and lower v tec engagement? I’m on a budget and don’t want to spend the extra money to get it professionally tuned YET so in the mean time would it be worth buying/using the k tuner?
So there is only a couple basemaps on Ktuner. You can go in and change a few settings to delete rev hang and lower vtec engagement but I didnt really mess with the basemap too much. A new ktuner ($450) plus an etune ($280) is $730, still cheaper than Hondata. An etune is gonna be way better than any basemap (better performance and safer).
Ah dang, it’s been good to me. But I really only used it for etuning. Since I got my final tune it’s just been sitting in a drawer. I wanted to just “set it and forget it” didn’t plan on constantly adjusting things.
How you tune your car? I’m new to the game but I have the same mod as your. I already have the hybrid racing intake and plm header, I haven’t install the. Yet since the hybrid racing intake need the tune to run. Can you please help out.🙏
You’ll need to get Hondata or Ktuner. Then have someone eTune it. Basically send logs back and forth until the car is running perfect. I used YoshTuned for etuning
@@YuckyGarage so is there any base map that come with the k tune that you can set vtec hit earlier or neither way you have to get someone to tune your car?
@@YuckyGarage I got etuned and i still get knocks everyday and knock control increase and have been beating on the car with it for half a year daily lmao 175k miles is my engine gonna blow up from all the knock events 🤣 probably in the thousands by now
@@YuckyGaragebro your doing great, only thing I’d really like to see is a review of the energy suspend rear trailing arm bushings and possibly a nitrous 8th gen
im shooting flames on an etune naturally richard is my guy

How much did it made ?
Not sure, I haven’t put it on a dyno. But based on the mods I’d guess around 210whp
What is that steering wheel cover??
I have ktuner and hate the limitations it has. Not gonna lie it left me feeling liek the worse decision i had.

Just wondering where you got your steering wheel?
It’s the stock steering wheel. It was pretty beat up so I stitched on a wrap from Amazon and the carbon fiber is a plastic overlay

@@nghianguyen8371 I think hondata has basemaps. But either way I’d get an etune. It’ll run a lot better and maximize your hp
@@YuckyGarage thank you bro, just make the purchase of the k tuner v2🫡
