    Do you have a bunny-proofing situation that you're struggling to find a solution too?

      Our rabbit gets under the sofa and bitets the foam. We need some kind of fence 16 cm in hight. That we can cut to lenght. Any idea?

      @@jaquma322 (Oh my gosh, only just saw your question! So sorry!) My suggestion would be to make a barricade from wood. You’ll need to somehow fasten it to the sofa itself or add a lot of weight behind it, so they can’t push or pull and displace it.

      @@zhenzhen_dvm Training is best for baseboards, here's how: th-cam.com/video/W-_ygT6Ao0E/w-d-xo.html. In the meantime, you can try rubbing bar soap along them or bitter spay designed to deter pets. Some people have success with those.

    Hi. Love your videos. I and a new bun mom and things are Great. And it's been 4-5 months now since I got him. But he was in a good groove and I watched videos to help me. He is free roaming and been doing well. I have bun proofed. He has got comfortable now and has a spot he has accidents now and he knows because he has sad eyes, but has continued to do it. Wat can I do. I shampoo and say no then put him in his potty, he doesn't like it. Also. He has started nipping, and he has started making me a lil uneasy and jumpy. I still try to stay in control and calm. What can I do. I love him.

    I wish cables could be kept about 1 meter above the floor! :) sometimes we have made the cables on that level. :D

    I found my solution to the internet cable with your video lol. Because she has chewed through 3 of those plastic and mesh covers .. so hopefully the hard covers help instead . Now my last problem is , that she loves to pee in corners ! Even if she has a potty in her enclosure , and 1 outside in the living room .. can’t let her roam anywhere else because she will pee in the corners everywhere around the house.

    Hello! I love your videos! Thank you so much! I have a question for you. I need help bunny proofing a bed. My bunnies love to burrow, so much so they ruined blankets, pillows and sheets. Is there any way to "bunny proof" the top of my bed? Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you again! 😀

    • @TheBunniesBrigade
      @TheBunniesBrigade  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only way to really bunny-proof your sheets would to restrict access to the bedroom, or possibly a higher bed (but if you've got persistent, athletic bunnies they may still jump up). Pepper sometimes gets urges to dig at our sheets too. There are certain times of day she likes to do it though and she is not allowed unsupervised bedroom access during these times. So I would advise monitoring their routine for starters. You can also combat this through training; redirecting this behaviour onto digging toys like dig boxes, snuffle mats, or cardboard cat scratchers.

      Thank you so much! I will try putting some cardboard cat scratchers around the bed and see if I'm able to redirect. Please keep up the amazing and helpful videos! 👏

    How do you stop them from chewing up the baseboards??

    • @TheBunniesBrigade
      @TheBunniesBrigade  ปีที่แล้ว

      With training: th-cam.com/video/W-_ygT6Ao0E/w-d-xo.html. It takes time and persistence, but it is the most reliable way to stop furniture and baseboard chewing. For a more immediate fix, you can also try rubbing bar soap along them, or some people like to use bitter spay designed to deter pets.

  • @emptythoughts3060
    @emptythoughts3060 ปีที่แล้ว

    What if we keep them in a pen only? And leave them out only when you’re there to monitor?

    • @TheBunniesBrigade
      @TheBunniesBrigade  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's always best to bunny-proof as much as possible, so you needn't be burdened with supervising them all the time. They should be able to free roam for the vast majority of the day, everyday, and we generally don't have time to be monitoring their every move. But, as I say, how much or how little you bunny-proof is entirely up to you.

    Can rabbit take shower?

    • @TheBunniesBrigade
      @TheBunniesBrigade  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. Not only is bathing a very stressful situation for a rabbit to be in, but they can’t easily regulate their body temperature. The only time you would need to get a rabbit wet is if you have a special needs rabbit who has difficulty washing themselves. And even then it should be a very controlled, gentle butt-bath, where they are dried thoroughly afterward. No water should ever be jetted over them like a shower. Thank you for asking.
