Don't ever give up, You did such a good job for your first. Already an artist so you have biggest challenge behind you. Mistakes are bound to happen, but you can fix most if caught soon. I've been tattooing for 35 years and it's an awesome talent to have, Keep it up you'll only get better.
You did so well! The tattoo looks lovely and I'd volunteer to be your canvas too. Your strokes look really gentle and your shading is better already than one of the professional tattooers I've been to. Hope to see more 😃
I recently ordered my first tattoo machine and am really looking forward to practicing and learning a new skill, so it was nice to see someone going through the same journey I'm about to embark on. Well done, the tattoo looked great and you've given me a lot of confidence that I can do this!

I'm about to start tattooing and I have a question.
Is it ok to use the same grip for several people or should we use disposable grips?
I ask because there are mast machines without disposable grips.

Just some advice, hold your machine straight (perpendicular to the skin) and not on and angle as if it’s a pencil. This will help prevent blowouts :)

If that's your first tattoo we'll you would only get a he'll of a lot better because that was a great first tattoo anyone would be happy with.
I have an panic disorder ... I will be 100% confident and then when I get in the situation ... I start shaking, my hands sweat, and if I am Actually scared, I will have a panic attack and have a strong stutter and use the wrong words too
aw I feel you, my heart starts beating fast too, I know everyone keeps saying to not forget to breath but it’s true, also what helps me out is actually to rethink the whole situation and just tell myself that, it’s fine , it’s truly fine and you got this, like reminding myself that this isn’t as hard as I think, it’s actually something I can do, trying to look at it from above bringing it back down to base instead of keeping the situation so high up in my mind that seems impossible ☺️
Glad that you did a good job with your first actual skin tattoo, but I wouldn't recommend anyone rushing to tattoo anyone when you don't really know what you are doing yet. In your case you did a decent job and it was on a family member who will forgive you if you make a mistake but a normal client I would never rush on . Take at least a few months and do a bunch of fake skin tattoos before going to people. An apprenticeship would take you almost a year on fake skin before you touch anyone. I did mine back in the 70's when the whole industry was still steeped in scum bag artists who were not clean at all and did BAD work. The first few tattoos I got at the shop I did my studies with from another person learning with me has a bunch of blow out and shaky lines, you must know how to do a clean line and it takes a while to be able to do that with proficiency and shading is also another big deal that you need to know the correct needle depth and right way to shade. I'm really happy that you have the confidence to do someone hours after you got your first machine. But that is very rare and I wouldn't let my new people do that on anyone after just getting a machine and no training except watching TH-cam video's. You already have a leg up it seems as you did do a pretty good job of your first tattoo so keep going at it. I would stick with the fakies for a while just to make sure you have the utmost confidence that you know what you are doing in any situation you may run across while giving a tattoo. Not bad for a first attempt but gurl that crappy line work 🤮 🤢 🫨🫨 but don’t worry it gets better over time I’m sure by now your way ahead of me and we started tattooing round the same time . Best of luck in your future never let anyone get you down 🩵🩵🩵🩵🥰
