I like how you and Kevin don’t nickel and dime each other I also like how much gratitude you have when Kevin pays for dinner rather than thinking that’s the least he can do
thanks miki for this breakdown of your weekly expense. I am a nurse myself and I got mortgage to pay for too. This help me realize that now tah I am older, my expenses are higher too.
This video was very insightful! Would you be able to do one for a month? I realize that might be a longer video, but I feel like it would make the results a bit less skewed :) Thanks for the great content!
miki, i know this is such a simple video - but it brings me so much joy. it's like talking to a friend! i discovered you when i was still in high school and it's crazy you're 27 now (i'm also a bit older). anyways, you're part of the crowd of creators who inspired me to create my own channel. keep it up!!
Love how transparent you are! I live in the Philippines, but I really enjoy your finance vids as I’m about to start my first ever job later this month! Thanks for all the tips ❤
I love these finance February videos!! I love learning about managing finances and investing and becoming content creator from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge :)
Thank you Miki for sharing transparently. I missed the 10 out of 10 out-tro! It’ll be more accurate to budget a week based on a typical week without friends visiting and the ski trip, it probably won’t add up as much.
Ridiculous how people keep comparing their lives to her life. She is a nurse + influencer, w a doc bf. They both work harder than most of us also. So obviously she can afford a more expensive life than 90% of uf. 🙄🙄🙄…
Including the meals / food which Kevin paid for and divide up the grocery / electricity bills etc would be a more accurate representation of your monthly expense… unless you’re looking at “ household / family “ expense. I , myself spend around 200 -255 per month. But if and when I do decide to spurrrrrge… that’s a diff question. 😅😅
Damn, $18.99 USD for parking! I worked at a hospital and parking was $4 - $5 per use and I was working 12 hr shifts (for reference that is $3 - $4 USD).
Do they have a monthly amount? Or is this all hospitals in seattle? I know PD workers may have to usually pay a seperate parking pass, however I can only speak for CA but for the two hospitals I’ve worked for one was free parking and then other one was through a UC and I paid about $40 a month… just curious though
Woahhh it's shocking how much your mortgage is in comparison to the costs in my country. The mortgage of our house (2 story home with an attic, 3 bedrooms, bathroom and large garden) is around 700 per month.
Its seatle and what seems like a decent location. They borrowed around 600-700k if my back-calculations on what interest rates were at the time are correct.
@@anironariron6839 yeah. Maybe you didn’t understand but usually when someone lives in a house that’s not theirs they pay rent 😅 my comment is alluding to Miki’s generosity in not having Kevin contribute anything toward housing
Is it a norm to pay for birthday parties you’re invited to in the US on top of birthday gifts? Kevin’s friends are flying to Seattle (video mentioned none of them is based in Seattle). On top of flight tickets, they also have to pay $1,300+ among themselves not including birthday gifts? Why.
I would prefer if you just showed us what you spend on a week on average so we can get a better baseline. Also do you happen to track this on a spreadsheet? if so would you be able to show us or have a template to share? Other than that I just wanted to say thank you for sharing.
💀 my entire rent payment in a week. love the financial advice videos tho, it's generally good advice. i've only recently started my career so i'm hustling and saving to get to that first 100k that everyone speaks about so i can have my net worth boom.
I guess it’s okay to over estimate how much you pay on your base total but to get a truer sense of the week should be getting an annual total then divide by 52 like how you did for some other things you calculated. By dividing by 4 weeks for a month ultimately cuts out 4 weeks out of the year… which is like cutting out a whole month 😅
Food-, Drinking-, Household-, Mobility-, Café-, Trip-, Flat/Rent-, Carcosts in Lübeck / Germany for one Year by 14632,85€. A littlebit less than in Seattle. But it is just a smal special flat ... Not a House. Thanks for Financial Transparancy. It is realy important.
Yes that shouldn’t have been included. It would be better to do a monthly usual spending and break down average spent on groceries and eating out. There was no account of spending on gas for the car either.
As a PA likely making something in between a nurse and a doctor, I don’t spend anywhere near this on my life. I do have a child and we save a lot to set him up for later. However I just can’t justify ever spending over $300 on a dinner? That just seems nuts to me. You live a very lavish lifestyle. I hope no one feels bad that they can’t afford this. Many of us don’t want to spend this.
Great you're showing you bought things that would be wants even if it's food. Since you could have decided no, cook from home. I question why don't cities have a yearly parking card. Idk $120 for the year, or $10 a month. Better than $18 a day. Though not great if you don't live there. I go to a city for an orthopedic appointment every 3-6 months. You didn't do your rounding though. I don't feel influenced by social media. I have noticed that people are quick to judge. Not just if you look rich eith whst you spend, where you live etc. i unfortunate have seen people tell others "you only make this much money, you're poor, why are you spending money on that?" Everyone is different. There's also IMO a lack of personal responsibility. Yes, shit's expensive, but there's things most can xo rather than complain.
Hi Miki, I love your this months 's content. I would love you talk more about crypto and stuffs from online stocks market. like what should a person consider fist before investing into stuffs like this. Crypto and other online stocks market are slowly being introduce here in my country Philippines. I heard a lot of good things about it and would definitely want to invest. But the thing is I don`t know where to start. I am 28 now and currently hitting the mid 20`s crisis given the whole inflation thing. I am a conservative type investor and can be aggressive I guess if being enlightened well . I have no idea with this whole thing and would love to learn from you. Maybe a "risk and luck" video for this. Looking forward for your upcoming videos. Thank you... 💓
Miki, hi! Regarding your parking ticket, make sure you appeal! I feel like they always knock down the total if you at least put in an attempt to appeal.
$1 increase-Basically nothing has had only $1 increase. For 12 hours of providing a service that’s cheap and allows you an entire 12 hours of pay. Mindset is powerful. Great video.
90% of us can't. I've seen people lose their ability to walk, talk, eat, etc every week due to strokes. Have the basics in place and let your pain be your progress. Its not about fancy dinners, its about having the ability to take care of the people you care about and being healthy when you get old.
I like how you and Kevin don’t nickel and dime each other

Love when people share these transparently. Thank you!! You surprised me with your crunchy roll sub 😆 what are some of your favorites?
Time to go calculate my expenses the Miki way! You’re videos are awesome ❤

Hey Miki, please speak at one of our meetings for our student nurses association at my campus! We love you ❤.
Love your finance videos!
I love it so much when you say we are 10 out of 10 ❤👍🏻
Crazy how cost of living really varies from where you are. FR with that amount i could live a bit comfortably for A MONTH where i live.
Damn, $18.99 USD for parking! I worked at a hospital and parking was $4 - $5 per use and I was working 12 hr shifts (for reference that is $3 - $4 USD).
i cried for $35/
days for parking st work too
Hospital workers shouldn’t have to pay for parking at their own job 😅
A hospital I worked at gave me free parking! But it was a small hospital in a less ideal neighborhood

My mortgage is 3x that amount and it’s only a 95sqm apartment!!!
Its seatle and what seems like a decent location. They borrowed around 600-700k if my back-calculations on what interest rates were at the time are correct.
I’m surprised Kevin doesn’t contribute to the mortgage partially. Thanks for sharing! Made me want to treat myself to some good sushi:)
She owns the house by herself so she pays the mortgage.

such an insightful video, made me realize that i've been spending too much on online retail therapy 😆
I feel like multiplying the birthday celebration rental and parking ticket as a weekly expense is a lot haha
Yes that shouldn’t have been included. It would be better to do a monthly usual spending and break down average spent on groceries and eating out. There was no account of spending on gas for the car either.
The real cost is just around 60-70k a year for 2 people. When Kevin earns higher income or sell houses, you two will be left with a lot of money.
you aren't throwing your money away miki but at least with a montage your "rent" is fixed so it won't ever go up
How did you get your adobe creative cloud to be only $11 a month? Mine is $30

How about car loan and petrol?
Kevin probably takes care of that…

Where are you studying from? Can you share the link?
Studying?? What are you talking about?
wheres ur fluffy jacket from :C
Wait YOU have to pay to park at your work? O_o
Why is parking that expensive 😳😳😳
How much is the interest charge on your $3000 a month mortgage? And how many years of mortgage that you are on ? $3000 is quite a lot
I’m paying $2600 mortgage and my interest is super low, only 2.5%… for 30 years. so I don’t think paying $3000 is bad at all.
Property Tax, Car Insurance, Home Insurance :^)
Do you still work as a nurse ?
Paying for parking at work??? Wtf!!!
🙄yes same at 🇨🇦hospitals...it's disgusting that staff have to pay for parking
like you Miki
Flexing hard, jealous 😂
Help me, im poor.
How much do you spend on your pets? I have a Corgi, and am trying to figure out how to reduce my spending when it comes to him.
Do net worth at 27
paying for parking to actually go to work... that sucks.
Hey what nurse are you? Can you tell me?
This was so unrealistic 😕
Wow $350 for dinner.. makes me sad I can’t afford your life:(
