      way more than I spend in London. Generally aside from2 days of tube fares and meals at work which is £23.30 for both days in total or add on about another 2 or so for cost of tea bags ,cereals and milk for drinks and breakfast at work I spend around £50 a week if that.

    This is so fun to see! I live in Portland, OR and food is sooo much more expensive here compared to London. I don’t know the last time I had a lunch that was less than $13. I’m jealous!

      @@PSILOCYBIN. They are so young to start worrying building wealth while living their best lifre abroad. When you are expatriated in an other city, far away from home, you know that is for a short period of time, so it is better to enjoy the city, discover the different cuisines and socialize. What is the interest to move 24 hours away from home to do nothing? In addition a vault never follow a hearse!

    New here to this channel. You’re great at making videos and inspiring! Interesting take you have on, “what I spend in a week in London”. The question asked previously on what I spend my money on and how does this compare to in a weekly timeframe would be hot chocolate at the moment of about $6.00 a week.

    • @georgiadoust
      @georgiadoust  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hey, welcome to the channel! so glad you're here 🤗 love a hot chocolate fund for you! over the winter i became pretty obsessed with a Mork hot chocolate each week so i think my weekly spending would look similar haha 🍫 as summer comes it might be more of an iced matcha/chai, do you also find your drink order changes by the season?

    • @ellaborodkina3917
      @ellaborodkina3917 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@georgiadoust That’s pretty cool that you like hot chocolate as well! Each season is a bit different but it’s been consistent overall with a lot of variety in between herbal hot tea or just hot chocolate. One of my favorite treats during the summertime would be sipping on an iced tea after a long hot day.

    Still Cheap in London as compared here in San Francisco, California. A one bedroom in San Francisco is $5,000 a month plus utilities.

    I spend way too much on eating out! I do a Sainos delivery as well but I try and get my fruit and veg from Vic Park market on Sunday since it’s always better quality, usually a sourdough from Pavilion as well. Bit random but do you and Liam send any money back home for super contributions? Bit worried I’m screwing myself over by not doing it but apparently pensions here can be transferred home in some cases, hoping that’s fine 🤷‍♂️

    • @georgiadoust
      @georgiadoust  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      nice, sounds like you can pick up a lot of food for the home when you’re out and about ✨ good question, we don’t currently but it’s very high on the list of things to do !! we calculated that we had to top up our Australian super with $x so that interest wouldn’t eat it up… we also looked into transferring the pension home and at the time we could only find one fund that would let us to do that (but neither of our work allowed us to choose it as our pension provider) so i think ours is going to be tied up here… let me know if you find a solution though! i would be very interested in knowing ☺️

      hey there, our place has a 'B' rating ✨ if it helps, we also have double glazed windows which i think is a game changer and this machine that redistributes the heat from the bathroom to the rest of the home (i explain in my flat tour video) 🙌 all the best for finding an energy efficient home!
